  1. I thank both of you for the great information, I really appreciate it!
  2. Wait, how much of the system used in the Escape was developed by Ford? And how much of it was borrowed from Toyotas research/development/etc? I read somewhere that they use similar suppliers and what not, but yea, can you, or anyone else shed a little more light on this, or show / direct me towards a source where I can find out more on this? Thanks you guys.
  3. I need sources too. But it comes up from time to time, and Ive wikipedia`d it, and nothing`s come up, Ive googled it, looked on CheersandGears, GMI, AutoBlog, Leftlanenews, everything... The system used in the Escape, was that Ford's? I remember hearing that it was, but can someone give me more on that? And, sources that prove this? Thanks you guys/gals. -KaliRover Oh, and what I'm talking about is the system used in the Ford Escape. Sorry about that.
  4. Nice article. I can't believe it was written by BON though... I am one of those customers who jumped ship to GM and DCX after the whole AFA Boycott. And instead of a Five Hundred in our driveway, there's a 2006 Chrysler 300 And instead of an 2006 FX4 sitting on our driveway, we have a brand new LTZ Avalanche. (Which we might trade in... in a few... for a new GMC Sierra.) And that's just my parents. I'm going to get a Jetta soon. Not a Focus, not a Fusion, not a Milan.
  5. This is sort of like their announcement yesterday... about them actually loosing the 254million they did last quarter, instead of what they announced earlier, 123 million...
  6. Minus the tacky looking plastic foglamp insert thingy Ford has going with that truck, and the side-step lights,.... wow, that would be one cool Ranger!!! Oh, and if the Ranger's grill didn't come out so much, a more squared off look, this thing would restore all that has been lost over the years!!!
  7. GOODNESS... FUD, that is sick! I especially love the F-150, that looks so real... I made it the background of my myspace group: groups.myspace.com/AMERICANCARFANSUNITED ... again, sweet truck!!!!
  8. Maybe they just need to take a highline versus outlaw approach.... and make one really urban and street ready, sporty with nice rims, and the other with an off-road appeal... and no middle ground, (Leave that to the Edge, Escape, Explorer, etc)
  9. I like the super cheif one!!! This should be the official vehicle of the Kansas City Chiefs lol. I perfer it in Black though, nice chops!!! And for the Mercury.. passat coupe fighter? That would be cool, not neccessary, but something unique, to further drift mercury away from Ford. The side and the front end could be a bit more SAV and Iosis inspired. Just my opinion.
  10. Eh, just fixed up a few thing's, I lowered the long bed and the window line, gave it two-tone color scheme, something worthy of a King Ranch, and I lowered the grill a bit... oh, and those three bar's is way too much, I made it only two. I don't have a chopping program lol, so I'm limited to what I can do, but what do you guy's think?
  11. I'm curious, who did these AFA folks tell this news to? Did they release it on their site for their members to hear, and then the really bias media find's it, blows it up, and using their history, make Ford look like an idiot by naming the AFA a group who are against "Diversity" and "Equality" amongst other thing's, and using words like "Caved In" to the demands of the AFA to make Ford look weak... I'm curious as to who the announcement was made to (What press sources) and to why it blew up so quickly... This is coming from someone who doesn't know too much about how this made such huge headlines all over the place, who the AFA appeared to, and if they went out wanting to get attention or where they given all of this press coverage considering the stance of the media.... but it's become quite annoying. It's become a battle over Gay Rights, The European Model, and Hate Groups. What about Ford... before anyone ever examined this from why Ford made the desicions that it made, the arguement over Gay rights, Super Conservative Christian Bigots, and the degrading of a Great American Company made the headlines, selfish interest groups. I hate the AFA. I am a Christian. I do not approve of Gay Marriage. But I do respect Gay people, I work for one, and I have alot of Gay Friends (I live in the Greater Portland Metro Area.. lol). But I am even more concerned about the State of Ford. If they choose to Advertise to Gay groups, by putting a vehicle in their magezine, great. As Ford has said before: "We're not in the Business of Beliefs... We believe all Purchasers are Equal" or something like that. However, if your not in the system of beliefs and you believe that all of your purchasers are equal, you'll treat Christians who purchase your vehicles with just as much attention through marketing and other Christian related events as you would the AFrican Americans you market to(and the concerts you hold, and the useage of the Culture to market your Fusion to my generation), the Gay and Lesbians you market to, and all of the other groups who sustain your livelyhood. Going out of your way to make one group happy and another group angry is not a good way to conduct business, find common ground amongst the two, and reap it's benefits... (no brainer huh... lol, j/k) It's a tug-of-war, on one side, some super conservative Christians who want Ford to stay Soverigen on this, on the other Side, Gay Groups who deserve and are fully entitled to the fair treatment and respect that society doesn't give them, because their people too, which you sometimes forget through all the name calling and lifestyle bashing. One side feel's their right, and reduces the opposing side to nothing more then either hate or sinful. In the middle, Ford is being tugged away at, and in the end, the biggest Loser is not the Gay groups, not the Christians, who seem to take their fight everywhere, but Ford. Selfish, Selfish, Selfish. That is my humble opinion on this matter.
