Irrelevant since all those have been converted to 2023 orders and are part of the 150k.

There may be some minor differences but the performance difference is mostly due to the turbo, intercooler and tuning.

Lots of things affect NVH, although I still don’t think it’s as bad as some are saying in the Explorer.

I was recently in a focus group.  Expect to see a lot of cool new towing technology over the next couple of years.

Horse hockey, unless they’re saying they have consultants doing the data entry.  But it still comes from Ford.

When you read a thread, and most of the posts are about the title, not the topic 😄

The point is your misquote makes the title argumentative, whereas the actual title is explanatory.

I think the people who say it’s bad either have a defect or unrealistic expectations.

I also think it looks way better with the 6’ bed period.  The 5’ bed just looks stubby to me.  But I understand why they offer it.  Same reason the 5.5’ is standard on F150 SCREW.

Well I do trust most dealers when it comes to factory incentives because that doesn’t come out of their pocket.  And if the dealer doesn’t give you the rebate (back when they did rebates) you would get it directly from Ford.

I agree it would be nice if Ford gave you the Smart Vincent info on your order.  But again this has never been a big issue so it wasn’t necessary.

What I would like to see (and what I expect to see for BEVs) is for Ford to track your order including price and incentives.  Either they do MSRP or the dealer is required to enter the selling price with the order.  They can charge whatever they want but it gets documented up front so they can’t change it on a whim 12 months later and they can’t add any extra fees or add-ons without buyer consent.

First of all - if you don’t trust the dealer you shouldn’t be buying from them.
Second - you should have documented the price and incentives when you ordered.
Third - Ford can’t automatically choose the order time incentives because you have a choice,  You might prefer the current incentives,  It’s your choice,

Demand to see the smart Vincent report.

Agreed. There has to be some accountability somewhere in the process. The past few years have been very educational for vehicle consumers who bothered to do their research.

We don't know anything about the 2024 North American Ranger yet, but as a 2022 Ranger SuperCrew owner you are correct in saying the SuperCab is unusable for seating anyone except for the smallest of children. The SuperCrew is fine for most adults except for real large ones. I'm a 6'1, 210 lb. male and I fit fine in the back of a Ranger SuperCrew for shorter trips. I wouldn't want to be back there on a real long road trip. Same goes for the Maverick which has similar back seat space. The Ranger SuperCab is a no go for pretty much any adult. It's mainly just extra storage space.

It's probably simpler and more cost effective to just offer one SuperCrew cab and have a longer frame and box if they want to still offer 5' and 6' options. We'll hopefully see what is coming in a few months.

Ford won’t tell you.  Ask the dealer to check smartvincent- that will show you the offers at order time and now.

    IMO,
I think Ford is doing the best they can. Not company wants to break promises, but Ford and others outsource most of the components to build the truck. Their suppliers are also dealing with supply chain issues and kicks in the stones coming out of nowhere like the rest of us.
I personally understand the challenges of the past year, and do not hold anyone accountable for issues out of their comtrol. It is what it is, and getting upset at an uncontrollable issue is a waste of emotion.

Well of course it should work that way but these transfer points have never seen the kind of delays they’re experiencing over the last 2 years and they’re probably struggling to even find storage space much less arrange it for fifo, especially when they have to group them by dealer and/or city.

The system is definitely broken but I don’t think there is an easy fix.

Sometimes it’s driven by cafe or emissions but I think a lot of it is short term/narrow minded planning.  Look at cd3 to cd4.  Why didn’t they consolidate focus, escape, fusion and edge on one platform (c2) even if it took a couple more years?  I’m sure there was a good business case for cd4 at the time but there should have been someone higher up saying why don’t we have one FWD platform instead of two?  I guess some of it like the 6.8 is purely marketing.
