  1. So here's the update....the Pony has arrived...but there's good and bad news. The bad news is that it arrived without the heated seats that I ordered. The good news is that I was smart enough to email Mr. Leonard at Ford about the whole experience I went thru getting this car. I received a call from the Northeast District rep who laid out the options I had, ie, take the car without the heated seats, have the dealer install heated seats or order a new car. She said Ford would pick up the cost of the heated seats. So, I opted out for that. I should have the car in my hands on Monday morning. I relayed the negative experience I went thru to the District rep with the first dealer I dealt with. She's meeting with the owner of the dealership tommorow to review the situation with them and the sales staff. I let her know that I wasn't the only one in the area that had negative experiences with these guys. I also let her know that if it hadn't been for Kzinti and this site, I would have walked from Ford a long time ago. What I've pulled out of this whole experience is that the Internet can place power in the hands of the consumer. It's a shame that any consumer has to go thru such an ordeal to spend $30k+. I can only imagine what the whole process would have been like had I not engaged in the Forums on this site as well as others out there. As others have stated, get your emails into Ford. Let them know that their loyal customer base is not happy with the way that they are doing business. Email Mr. Leonard at dleonar1@ford.com. You should get a response like I did. I'll try to get some pics in to you once it arrives. Thanks to all for your support and assistance with my order!!!
  2. VOPC had another update last night. The GT/CS is on the railcar headed my way. It says it's due the "week of July 1". I'm hoping it gets here this week, we'll see. I wonder how long it takes to get a car from Flynt to Massachusetts. :bandance:
  3. Well, first off, it's an automatic. Secondly, these forums helped me out. I got the order prioritized at a 10, top level for my dealer. I also didn't make any changes to the order, once it when in, it stayed that way. Finally, I went to a dealer who was up front and honest. I had originally ordered a 2006 on X-Plan in March. The dealer jerked my around for 2 months, trying to play me for my deposit. He claimed that Ford cancelled my order (submitted on 3/4). If you browse the forums, you can see that others ordered after that date and got their 06's. Had it not been for this site and Kzinti, in particular, I would never had known that the dealer was jerking me around. It could have cost me plenty. I told the first dealer to :kissass: and found the dealer that I am working with now. So far, the experience has been extremely positive. He's a straight shooter, no BS, no games, lies, etc.. Ford needs more dealers like this guy. If I were in your shoes, having read all the stuff that I've read here and on other forums, I'd be suspicious of your dealer. Hey, I was told that GT/CSs would be hard to come by. I will have one withing 7 weeks of ordering it. Good luck with yours. Keep us filled in on how you are progressing.
  4. VOPC told me that my GT/CS was produced today. It should be here around July 8! :happy feet: I'll get pics out once it arrives.
  5. No change on my order but the as of date was 5/23, Tuesday. I'll try again later today.
  6. Ditto on the comments above. A car purchase is typically the 2nd largest purchase anyone makes. Companies that invest in world class manufacturing and world class customer service will always come out on top. Consumers want quality products and the best support possible. They also don't want to be B.S.'d in the process. I originally ordered a fully decked Mustang in early March. Needless to say, I dealt with one of the less reputable dealers that Ford authorizes. 58 days into the order, the dealer tells me that I have to move to a 07 or cancel the order. They reset my order to an 07 and I come to find out that Ford never received the order, 67 days after I initially made the deposit via credit card. Fortunately, I'm a pretty strong customer with the credit card company and I was able to bypass their 60 policy on disputes and I am getting my deposit back. The dealer was definately playing me for my deposit. BTW, I'm not finished with this guy. The attorney general in my state is conducting an investigation on this guy and has been collecting consumer complaints for a case to be filed soon. Had it not been for Kzinti, I'd be out $3k of deposit money. Instead, I found a reputable dealer, placed a new order with them and am now in the queue for my 07 GT/CS. My new order will come in around $33k or so. What I found out via this site and Kzinti's efforts, I'd be out of the $3k and be waiting for that Camaro or Challenger in 08!!! So, is his service and support worth something to Ford and the workers at Ford???? ABSOLUTELY!!! You guys need to wake up and smell the coffee!! If you want to hold on to exist as a company, it's not all about great products, you have to have great support for those products!!!! Great job, Kzinti!!! I'm behind you 110%! PS Ford management - your dealer network sucks!!! Clean it up! :titanic:
  7. I sure do hope you're right about next Thursday. That would be outstanding! I hope to hear from Mr. K. this week with some good news!!! :happy feet:
  8. Don't worry about it. I went to another dealer today. Apparently, the order priority code 40 was something like an inventory replenishment code which would receive low priority. I've placed about 15 calls this week with the dealership trying to get confirmation that this order was in and they never bothered to return my calls. I'm finished with them. I did reorder and have the following info: Dealer Code - 11214 Body Type - T85 Priority - 99 Order Number - 001 Order Date - 5/11/06 18?46:23 I'm not sure how long a new order takes to cycle into your system but if you could check this for me, I'd truly appreciate it. The original dealer can :kissass: . Thanks again, Mr. K.!!!
  9. I just got off the phone with my dealer and he swears the order is in. Mr. K, is there any way for you to see this? Is it too early for the system to see the order? It was submitted on 5/2. Thanks.
  10. That's what I figured. Is there a reason why it might not be in the system? Thanks.
  11. Mr. K, My dealer says he submited this order. The automatic phone line can't find it. Does it take a bit to cycle into the system. I thought maybe you could help. Here's the info: Dealer Code - F11206 Body Type - T85 Order Code 0504 Is there a way you can find this? I appreciate it. It's a 2007 GT/CS. Thanks.
