It was a 225 million upgrade to the paint bldg. and yet they still closed us, It can happen to any plant ,no one plant is secure if they decide to close.

I had this sign made to ward off trespassers!

Personally, I allways enjoyed the sign that said Trespassers will be shot on sight. -
Hey at least you have some one to look after Y'll not like me or anybody else from a closed plant.
-
do i think the current healtcare sucks ................yes I'm a retirre here in VA. from the closed norfolk plant,we had a hmo here through cigna and as bad as would like to bitch and moan about them , i'd just about sell my soul to get them back[just kidding]with them we had $25 co-pay and yes we would have to get referrals to see other docs but unlike my present healthcare situation through the bcbs tcn i see more out pocket expense eating up my ret. pension and as a diabetic i worry about pre-existing conditions will they make me pay for tests they say i can only have once a year , i mean physcials are out down here no more pre checking , it just seems they could have done a little better.

Your lucky to have to pay just $70 for office visit , I'm a retirre out NAP here in VA. my office visits cost me $122 , have to pay for lab tests that used tto be covered and have to pay all specialty visits and additional fees , my wife has been going for psychratic and therapy sessions the last three years only to be told by this new plan only 15 visits covered per year.

I just want to know when Ron G. retires will he have the samemedical benifits as the rest of retirees ,or will his be different?
-
well what I'm experiencing is what I pay for now that use to get free or by small co-pay are office visits, all lab tests for diabetes or not, once a year eye exam for my diabetes any specialty visits and tests, including paying now for x-rays, physicals are gone and now my wife who's been seeing a psychratic doc and therapist has been reduced down to 15 visits per year now will cost me for her sessions.

I would like to know as well, as a retiree out of VA. it seems I'm paying more out of pocket than i did before.

I'm Retired from NAP, It's true about the price, I have to order all my Maint. drugs for my type 2 diabetes from medco 4 at $20 one at $ 50 for 90 day scripts. I have only two problems and one is with my doctor, he'll only fill for 2refills at a time his explantion so i will have to see him at least twice a year for office visit which i have to pay now [$122 a visit] and other problem is with medco only accepting fax forms from the doctor instead of him phoneing it in.

As a retiree from NAP, I'm not real crazy about BCBS Traditional Care Network, As such that i am a diabetic Type 2 to find this insurance very costly on my wallet where as paid nothing before for twice yearly lab tests now cost me $84 , once yearly diabetic retina exam was $25 now is $135 and doc. office visits that were $25 now are $115, what bugs me the most since i have a pre- existing condition being told by BCBS that if doctors want any more tests or labs than what is covered , then i can look forward to paying full amount myself. Yea this great insurance ,,,,,,,,,,,,not

Maybe they don't now allow the employee's to drive them home on weekends but they use too lol, I remeber at NAP they let this hourly guy take a 96 F150 4x4 home for the weekend and all hell broke loose when he brought it back the following monday, It was literally covered in mud and grass from the body to the under carridge, he had been 4 wheeling over the weekend lol took them a half a day just to clean it up.
-
Well I was on the phone yesterday with my new bcbs rep. and found out that I'm responsible for office visit cost[$65-to $130 per visit] and since I'm a diabetic also responsible for 10% of my twice annual lab test to a max.of $570 before they pick up at 100%, and learned that there are two mail order Companys that I'll have to choose from to handle my testing supplies, sure wish i was still with my old HMO.

Your right, we had a QC guy for incoming metal from the stamping plants that retired from NAP, and he got a job as a Liason consultant from one of the stamping plants to work with metal issues at NAP.

Yep that's me, working part time for enterprise car rental, waiting for the ecomony to turn around [yea right]to find something better,in the mean time it allows me time to do the things I really enjoy like fishing and spending more time with my family.
-
Hey John , I'm still around here till i get my house built in GA., you still over in Cypress Creek?
-
It's not in the new deal, If you know someone retired ask them about the letter they got from the UAW like i did stating when they take over VEBA on 1/01/2010 ford uaw retiree's will lose dental and vision to be comparable to what Chrysler & GM retirees lost, and it was signed by Ron and Bob.
-
AS a retiree from NAP I can tell you us retiree's lose our dental and vision Jan. 1 2010 that is a fact.
-
Give me a break ! I'm a retiree from NAP, The letter I got from the union clearly stated when they took over VEBA on 1/01/2010 my vision and dental benifits were gone to be more comparable with GM and Chrysler, and it was signed by Ron G. Bob King and someone else, my question is will they lose the same when they retire and if not why? Y'll better take a long look at what there trying to sell you. If we retiree's could vote it would be NO

And at the same time planning on building yet another plant in China, as a retiree I hope Y'LL don't give anything else away.
-
I remeber 1980 too, with that TRA crap where as you had to wait for check from the gov. then turn it back in to ford , to wait for your sub check, glad I'm retired now.
-

I retired in Sept. 08, Don't know about whetheryou can convert your pension to an IRA, but you can convert your 401k to a traditional IRA , which will give you more choices to choose from for investing in[stocks, bonds, mutuals, cd's ,t-bills] and not have to worry about capital gains on buying and selling. Wish you best on whatever choice you make.

Are they no longer offering the PLRP for people with 28 years ?
