After looking at many cars, we ended up trading the 2013 Taurus on a 2018 Taurus. My wife likes the looks ride etc. this one is white with tan leather. Options were a newer used car Malibu/Camry/Accord/Fusion etc. but liked the roominess of the taurus.

We just replaced our 2013 Taurus with 240,000 miles for my wife. she wanted a "car" not an suv/cuv. we test drove Malibu; she thought it seemed too small. Test drove Altima/Camry/Honda all base models in high 20's to 30k. All seemed too low to her compared to Taurus. Also, being "old" $30k for base sedan seemed high in cost. So, we ended up with a lower milage 2018 Taurus with leather seats. More tech, same basic car. she is happy. We would have got a new Fusion if one was available.

i am 58, but this is good news. I still listen to Am radio on my morning commute, to get traffic "on the 8's" and local news. Being in NC that is what i tune too for Hurrican news when an approaching remnant heads this way. I still use my CD player in my 2017 Escape. for music mainly use Pandora thru the Bluetooth.

my 2017 escape titanium 1.5. Small block replaced under warranty. Transmision rebuild on my dime at 105,000. I'm in NC and have rust issues on door bottom i wash every week. Ford will review once it rusts thru. ive repaired my self. So other than motor, trans, rust its been a great car. LOL

Transmission fixed for $4k. Ford Escape is crap quality. I've went from 92 Ranger to 96 Taurus to 2001 Taurus Wagon to 2005 Freestar to 2007 Explorer to 2013 Taurus to 2017 Escape. No looking at Honda Accord/Subaru Legacy for next car.

Small block replaced under warranty at 45,000 miles due to coolant issue. Door bottoms rusting (I'm in NC, so no salt) but not rusted thru so not covered under rust thru warranty. I fixed myself with Dremel and rust inhibiter and touch up paint. Transmission just went at 101,000. Taking to local transmission place to rebuild. So, the car seats are great, I've liked it, so other than the engine, transmission, and rust it's been a good car. (LOL) I've drove Fords since 1992, a lot of miles, and I'm about done.

2017 titanium 1.5 l. mine was shuddering, twice thunked pretty hard going into reverse and 2 times starting at a stop light. Flushed transmission fluid as i was at 100k. it was good for 2 days then a whirling sound and couldn't find gear. Ive parked it, and looking for good repair places. Got a company car to drive in mean time. i had the short block replaced under warranty due to coolant issue. I've had Fords since 1992. I'm getting close to the end with Fords.

It was the plastic piece that the bulb plugs into, both had gone bad. Local Ford service fixed, and at the same time they fixed a recall on transmission linkage (?). I had got that letter, but it said parts were not in yet. Parts had just come in, but letters hadn't gone out yet. That was great, as it saves me a 2nd trip to do that. Great service. Dropping off today at local Ford dealer for diagnostic. By the way this is the for dealer in Cary/Apex NC that at a point had the largest indoor show room. It might still be. It used to have over + 100 cars inside, on Friday at had 10. If i would have been there to buy a car, it would have been a sad situation.

bulbs are not the issue. small light on dash that shows lights are on, says they are on. what is going on?

i listen to am in morning for live traffic. What can it cost to have am radio? id still like a cd option. my 2017 escape has a cd player.

Sad that Ford has good cars people want, Bronco, Bronco Sport, Maverick and of course Explorer, F150, Super duty, and they cant get them to the lots for reason after reason. My local Ford dealers lots are still basically empty.
