  1. i'd like to see rmc's chop only with the 427's headlamps. that would look pretty sweet. igor, how'd you get so close? where are those headlights from?
  2. Don't know if you know this already but the '08 Stang is also getting a new spoiler and new rims. The new spoiler was on a V6, the new rims on the GT model. I saw them in pics on autoblog.com from Ford's 2008 Product Introduction. They actually look pretty nice.
  3. http://www.autoblog.com/2007/05/15/2008-bu...g-specs-leaked/ personally i'd like to see more power out of a car that is going to go for a lot more money than a GT. just another car for ford dealers to make an extra couple thousand dollars off of by putting on ebay i guess...
  4. that onboard air compressor is a good idea. i've been thinking about throwing that idea out for some time but never got around to it. i do agree though that it would be very hard to get all those things together and keep the truck affordable, although $55K for a current super duty is not quite what i mean by affordable.
  5. looks like an expy front end maybe? anyone wanna do a photoshop of an f150 with an expy front end to get an idea of what it looks like? i really hope its got that 6.2 though
  6. captain obvious indeed but basically everything is right on. wasn't the explorer refreshed just last year? doesn't sound like aging to me but it is losing sales though.
  7. http://news.windingroad.com/trends/whats-n...ds-svt-a-truck/ Looks like good news for SVT fans but I just can't imagine what is taking them so long. SVT started the inhouse performance vehicle production idea and now they're letting SS and SRT run the market. Personally I'd love to see a new Lightning but with the Adrenaline concept from last year I think it's a Sport Trac. Whatever it is it can't come soon enough.
  8. autoblog is now reporting that in addition to the Shelby GT-H convertible a Shelby GT500KR will be unveiled as some stated earlier. not much is known about the car but according to car and driver it will not have the boss engine. check out the link for an interview with caroll shelby about the new KR. http://www.autoblog.com/2007/03/29/new-yor...g-is-shelby-kr/
  9. flex???? come on ford. you've been talking name recognition ever since you brought the taurus back out and now you change the fairlane, which i believe would have a good amount of recognition, to the flex which has no recognition at all. who is running this company? suicide doors have not yet been confirmed according to autoblog although they are a possibility...
  10. autoweek is reporting that it sold for $925 million. if that makes any difference...
  11. i'm not saying this is a beauty queen or anything but i'm pretty sure no one who is bashing this is going to be buying a cargo van anytime soon so in reality ford didn't do a bad job. i would like to hear from someone who will be buying a couple of these for a fleet on what they think. then maybe everyone will shutup. and as for the the nosejob only, ford did this on purpose to save the thousands of truck upfitters out there from having to spend big money on new tooling and manufacturing. now they have a somewhat updated truck that needs no special attention from upfitters who handle large amounts of these vans. do some research before you start bashing something...
  12. it is nice to see the V8 standard but as for the twin turbo V6 i'm not sure how to feel. to me it's just not mustang. same with the retractable hardtop, as nice of an option it would be it just doesn't fit the mustang although it would be nice to finally have a competitor for the sebring. as for the rear camera, park assist, cruise control and heated/cooled cupholders i wouldn't want them on a mustang but i guess the cupholders or cruise control could be seen as good options. if ford can really bring the IRS in as an option for $200 even under $500 i think it would be a hit.
  13. even though the silverado beat the f150 this month don't forget about the incentives chevy put on the previous gen to move them off the lots to make room for the new ones. the older ones probably made up the majority of those sales. the next few months will show if the silverado has what it takes to make a stand against the f150
  14. navistar has stopped shipping these engines to ford so that is probably the supply issue. this also affects the 6.4 and 4.6 diesels in the super duty. as for the 08 i have no clue when its coming but soon i'd expect.
  15. 92merc- i've seen the variations as well but most say that navistar has stopped shipping diesel engines to ford which to me means the 6.4 and 4.6. also the articles say that they closed their indy plant and only kept the huntsville one open for other customers so i would guess all engines are affected because of this as well. the articles also mention that ford has said they have adequate inventories to support production in the short term.
