Our attendance procedure is the first few pages of volume 4 of the International Agreement. It would take a weeks of unjustified time off to get terminated. Use of justified time off including FMLA could get us off the job for months. How in the hell can someone get terminated with all of these opportunities to excuse time off???

Like I said, we will be flooded with well negotiated products and on 3 shifts in 2013. Thanks to the UAW AAI has been saved. Last year we were uncertain of our futures, soon we will be a plant full of job security.

Looks like another stupid rumor busted. The UAW negotiated a path to get ACH orange into FMC and still the negativity on this site is sickening.

How many different models has the UAW negotiated to go into MAP? We are jealous at AAI but we are excited to get product and job security like MAP

By 2013 we will be on 3 shifts and our coveted job security will be back at AAI. No more worries of closing. Thanks to the UAW we will be back as the #1 quality and efficient assembly plant in the world!! Economists are projecting that the 2011 agreement will bring Ford up to 50,000 UAW members and boost the USA economy from its bargaining to return jobs back in America. If you have a chance to transfer to AAI and you are looking for job security come on over. The premier plant of the UAW!!!!

I know a few trades working in production that are just drooling at the chance to reskill to the electrical trade.

Since AAI got the Fusion investment and announcement of jobs here and MAP, Kentucky and Chicago I have friends and family I have not heard from for years calling about how to apply with Ford for getting these entry level jobs. Over $19 per hour, benefits and a pretty good 401k plan is a God send to anyone unemployed. Most never have made $19 per hour in their life are jumping at this opportunity. Say what you want about the $19 per hour wage, good benefits and a 401K. The fact is tens of thousands will line up for the opportunity

First of all I am thankful for the UAW saving AAI Second this Christmas was not good at the In-Laws house. The In-laws (staunch Republicans) blamed my $28 per hour, great benefits and all of my negotiated days off as the demise of the D3. Obviously I had to defend our great wages, benefits and pension with facts of labor rates and sacrifices we made to gain product and investment at AAI and job security gained for all UAW-Ford. Even in my own family there are haters of our well negotiated contract. Jealousy or just a Republican ploy to kill the middle class???

Yes, a mirror image of what happened in 2008 at American Axle, if this agreement goes down we will be worse off and the company will come out ahead We will lose product and wages as well as jobs
