  1. Why would they announce it almost a year before launch when they can surprise the competition close to launch? Makes sense to me with what he told me. Why don't they state the hp/to numbers now?? Because they don't want the competition knowing till last minute..
  2. Just heard from my contact, says 10 speed will still be out for 2017, they are just not announcing it yet. They are running in a bunch of trucks right now. Won't be able to order till summer time.
  3. Pioneer, it will have the 10 speed. My connection had one in their garage all camo'd up outside and it has the 10 speed in it. He said the tranny is awesome!!
  4. I do have to say that after 16 months of ownership and 17,000 miles on my 6.7, the Exhaust is as clean as it was the day I bought it. I however would not want to pull the intake side of the engine part and look at all the soot build up in there though... I think it would make me cry on all the crap that keeps getting recirculated through the motor.
  5. Ok, I know this would never happen but I had to laugh at the article and think to myself.... when will we here from Marchionne about how great it would be for Fiat and VW to merge now? lol http://www.thestreet.com/story/13298099/1/volkswagen-scandal-opens-door-to-possible-fiat-takeover.html?puc=yahoo&cm_ven=YAHOO

  7. Well they definitely use more UREA to reduce Nox emissions. VW was claiming 10,000 miles per tank of DEF and owners are reporting they were getting 15-20,000 miles. With the 6.7 under light duty use, we use 5 gallons every 6,300 miles or so and some are filling up every 3,000 miles if towing heavy. Granted you can't compare towing heavy to a VW so if you factor 6,300 miles per 5 gallons compared to VWs 15k-20k miles... Not sure if that is a good comparison or not. You can say that the 6.7 is over 3 times the size of the 2.0 so it obviously will emit more which is why it uses more..
  8. Just read another article and has some good responses from VW. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/vw-cooperating-german-investigation-vehicles-071839997--finance.html
  9. Last link just updated.. UPDATE (7:54 AM): German magazine Der Tagesspiegel is reporting that CEO Martin Winterkorn is being replaced by Matthias Mueller.
  10. Don't want to go off topic from this thread so I'll just leave a quick comment. I've yet to see ONE person on any of the diesel forums get in trouble via the fed gov't for removing. For me it isn't about mpg.. it's more of warranty with my 15 F350. Warranty is the gamble, not the EPA and I've been following this since 2008 on multiple forums. And you can get it done for about $1,200 if you want to retain the factory exhaust. Ok enough off topic, you can PM me if you want to continue this topic. Back to VW... they are screwed lol.. I bet the Big 3 are all rolling on the floor laughing at them..
  11. Not even the devalued vehicles but the loss in mpg if the "reflash" causes it. I can't see why they would have done this with exception of getting better mpg. With my F350, people delete the DPF and they gain up to 20% higher mpg BUT it is also more for a better running motor... Hmmmm..
  12. Just came to post that.. couldn't believe it when I read it this morning. Boy that has got to hurt!! Wonder what will happen in the upcoming days. Didn't include a quote so I'll link one that talks about it. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/vw-stock-crashes-admitting-rigged-us-emission-tests-081423265.html

  14. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/09/18/epa-says-vw-intentionally-violates-clean-air-standards/?intcmp=hpbt1 DAMN!!!!! Good for them lol. I think they should get the max fine for every vehicle. This was deliberate fraud, not an accident or a defect. I think this will be just the beginning as well because with the reflash to fix this, if it affects mpg which I truly believe it will, there will be many lawsuits out there due to the vehicles not getting the mpg stated.
  15. I really think the sideview is very sharp but as soon as you start to turn towards the front or rear, omg... what an awful looking car. But agree with most, it's going to sell because of what it is, not what it looks like.
  16. Great article!! Couldn't praise the car enough... https://www.yahoo.com/autos/2016-ford-shelby-gt350gt350r-mustang-first-drive-128263615617.html
  17. Tesla just stated that the base Model X will be starting around $75k.
  18. You can buy the test straps yourself and you can reset the message yourself in the menu system of your 4" display just like your oil reminder. And no it is not 22k, they go off around the 14k mark, mine went off a few months ago.
