  1. I have longed for a Mustang for years. I had to put it off due to the need for more family-oriented vehicles, but my day is coming. I had the pleasure of driving a Glass Roof Mustang on bright, crisp September day a few years ago ... 6-speed 5.0L GT. I still get chills thinking about that day ... sun pouring in yet the feeling of control and security from the powertrain and closed cockpit. I'm disappointed to see that this feature didn't make the 50th anniversary design. For me, my Mustang will be my daily driver that I plan on keeping for many years, and I can't see getting a convertible for the 5 to 10 days a year that I would actually drop the top. But the glass roof was a perfect compromise ... open-air feeling with the durability of a coupe. I hope that you Ford Engineers see this and start a focus group for this feature to (hopefully) see that I'm not alone. If not the full glass roof, a Vista or other option that will offer the classic feeling of Mustang freedom without the ragtop. I don't think too many people knew about this option and I feel that if customers did, they would opt for this unique driving experience.
  2. Wondering if the glass roof will find its way back ... anyone have any idea?
  3. Thanks, svtenthusiast ... my bad that I thought the entire power feature went away but your explanation sounds on target. Also, thanks for the PDF link, too. That settles it for me ... 4WD Titanium with everything please, hold the Nav.
  4. Disappointing that you have to choose between the Technology Package and the Trailer Towing package, if you want the power liftgate ... seems like that should be an easy fix??? ... to relocate the sensors for the tailgate? Also, what happened to Start-Stop technology ... will the 2013 get it? What about the 2014?
  5. I had a '97 Ranger and then graduated to an '02 SuperCrew. I loved them both but the mileage on the SuperCrew was killing me. (We now drive an '04 Explorer and an '07 Focus 5-door ... I still have some accessories for my SC ... e-mail me if you are interested.) I feel that the market is ripe for compact pick-ups again ... IF you could get awesome mileage to make up for the downsizing of the truck in general, and one's ego for not having a big, bad truck ... after all, we love excessiveness in America, don't we? But seriously, I think Ford exiting the compact pick up market would be a mistake. People still want/need capable trucks to haul and tow ... but we also need to feed our families too and not give all our disposable income to the oil companies.
