  1. we have about 15, with mixed options. mostly NOT with the fridge, navigation, or the panoramic roof. we have sold 2....still thinking fiesta would be nicer to see about now, IMHO...
  2. didn't read article. but I hope they put in new escape powertrains at least(6-spd, upgraded motors)
  3. And people complained about GT500 mark up... how about 2-3 TIMES MSRP for ZR1?
  4. According to the Head Engineer on the 09 F-150 program, he drove the F-150 with the ecoboost engine in it, and "it drives like a rocket". So they at least have one on michigan proving grounds..somewhere...
  5. you can receive confirmation of your build date, overall sequence number and color sequence number from Ford, by calling toll free 1-800-FORD-SVT (1-800-367-3788). All you need is to provide the last 6 digits of your VIN number; they will also ask you if your car is a coupe or convertible as they are sequenced separately. This is the same number you would call to order an SVT production certificate; however, you do not have to purchase the certificate to obtain verbal confirmation of your sequence number.
  6. you may be looking at delayed production on the 09s, usually they are coming in within june or july, but i'm hearing that they aren't even pulling orders yet. SO if you don't mind spending a little more and have some time to wait the 09 is the better purchase, HANDS DOWN. 6-speed automatic, better aerodynamics, larger 4cyl, improved v-6...better gas mileage AND more horsepower...nice!
  7. sounded like there were gnomes in the dash with hammers, trying to break out...I actually turned down a run on silvercreek I, due to back issues, but did several runs on Silvercreek II.
  8. in regards to the 2009 F-150. you cannot see the true differences, to the sheet metal, from the pictures, every inch of sheet metal is different(rear side paneling on flareside is the most similar but still has different lights and adjustments on wheel well flares). under frame you have a 10% stiffer frame that is 15lbs lighter with advanced high strength steel, throughout the frame, a B-pillar that has been moved back 4" and is made of boron steel...oh and btw, the rear seats flip up with no effort at all to reveal a completely flat floor.(unless you have 10-speaker 700 watt stereo, then you get an amp/subwoofer on passenger side floor). after driving them for a few hours(back to back to silverados and tundras), everything ON THE ROAD with a bed on the back seems sub-par...yes even 04 F-150s...
  9. i saw 3 on the lot at the same time(similar size of inventory as yourself) and about fainted...of course one was a special order being delivered...supposedly 09 ramps up production!
  10. biggest benefit to honda? source tax credit goes to lessor(a la plug-in leases that were taken back just to be destroyed by every manufacturer)
  11. strange..as I'd heard that the 09 escape hybrid, was the first application of the 2nd gen hybrid, in that it will reach 40-45 mph on electric power alone. I originally found that information on this forum, and continue to chase it through other "car" *hack* sites *cough* like autoblog, jalopnik, autospies, etc...
  12. at the BFT round-up, we saw all but the Harley Davidson. They say that the interior will knock your socks off, and that with their new techniques, you can expect several textures and looks of materials in the same panel. now, talking to the head of engineering, in charge of the F-150, 2 things came up, one..the v-6 Ecoboost, in and F-150 drives like a rocket. He also admitted(when pressed about SVT Raptor, by yours truly), that due to the current market they have adjusted their possibilities for upcoming vehicles(I took it as a NO to the Raptor), but that Ford will continuosly provide an SVT Mustang...and an SVT F-150!
  13. I understand what you mean about the base mode escape hybrid. a month ago 15 escape hybrids became available to our dealer. 13 are sold, 2 of them are in stock. Both are base models, and will probably leave soon! I tried the "edge hybrid doesn't make sense" conversation, but customers have been adamant , rather than the escape hybrids...perhaps once they get to a Kuga bodystyle, or whatever upgrade they plan for next bodystyle, we can get those customers into them, but we'll have to see.
  14. my best guess, is that they will move the current supercharger install from out of saleens hands. Will also redeem 5/60 pt warranty that way...now if they go gt500 engine with an automatic 6-speed...hmmmm that'd be interesting at least... btw sitting in the new crew cab(like the HD probably would be) is SHOCKINGLY comfortable and ROOOOMY!
