  1. The RS wipers on my MKZ work great I'd hate to lose that
  2. Guess I spoke too soon just looked and the app got an update and name change
  3. Looks like no change for the Lincoln app called "Lincoln Way" wonder if they will change that or not. Mine has not changed at all.
  4. Take this with a grain of salt but I follow this guy on Instagram he has a Lincoln dealership in PA. He announced recently that the Corsair was going away and apparently got a call from Detroit telling him a new one is coming and they have enough to limp through next year. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DPrMnCyDVdn/?igsh=MWUzcGVocGswcXNsMQ== If you follow him hes also making a one off Lincoln Bronco based on a Bronco Raptor in those clips hes stated other dealerships have been begging Ford for one. So take that for what its worth.
  5. I agree you'd think they would keep it around even for lower numbers as a halo of sorts. It was their first model. Really surprised to see them give up on it even with a shrinking market. What does this leave for large luxury sedans? S-Class, 7 Series, A8, Genesis G90, is that it?
  6. Long winded rant coming up... I definitely think Ford messed up not having a C2 plant here in the US. Lincoln's lineup is in rough shape with only 4 models. 1 of which may leave all together we still don't have a solid answer if the Corsair will continue or not but IMO it's a bad move to drop it since it sells decent enough. Last time Lincoln only had 3 models was back in the 90s with the Mark VIII, Continental, and Town Car. Granted sales were a lot more than they are now but they were on top of their game then and competitive. They are competitive now but there's so much more competition and they are missing the mark with buyers. Hell Genesis is a much younger brand and they have 7 models 8 if you count the Electric GV70 separately. They sold 75k vehicles in the US last year vs 104k for Lincoln. I know Genesis gets help from other countries but Lincoln does have 1 extra model sold only in China and no where else with the Z (formerly Zephyr) they sold 12,400 of them last year in China. For what it's worth Lincoln sold 12,518 MKZs in 2020. Even if they were to match China's numbers couldn't that help spread costs? I know Borg has hinted the Aviator is going to move to C2 and if that's the case it will be pretty disappointing that it will lose the RWD proportions. IMO the Aviator is the best looking model in the lineup. That being said I have suggested it before but I really wonder if they could add something else to CD6 to help that platform out since currently it's only the Explorer and Aviator. I know many have been beating their chest saying CD6 is dead and not worth investing in but the platform is only 5 years old. Surely they could put something else on it like a hatch/coupe version of the Aviator or an extended Aviator/Explorer for someone who wants more storage room without upgrading to the Expedition/Navigator? Jeep currently does this with the Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L. I even suggested an Explorer Sport Trac return but that was shot down here saying there would be way too much overlap with the Ranger but what if they were to re-introduce a hybrid Explorer it could be like a bigger brother to the Maverick for someone who wants a truck without it being a real truck. Just spit balling. I hate to think CD6 is a dead platform only 5 years into it and I feel like there IS something else they could build on this platform to help spread the cost. I have seen people in car groups and forums elsewhere asking when Lincoln will bring back a pickup but I am 100% sold on the idea that ship sailed a long time ago and will never happen again. I have seen people make AI versions of the new Navigator with a pickup bed and people commenting that they really should re-enter this market but personally I just don't see it. No other luxury brand is attempting this and I think F-150 Platinum covers this. The only other thing I could think of that they could do quickly would be a model below the Corsair I am not sure if Ford wants Lincoln to reach down that low but Lexus has had success with the NX and BMW with the X1. The only way I think this can work though is if the Corsair is staying if they cut that, there would be a gap in the lineup and I don't think it would work because there would be a huge jump in price from this sub-compact to the Nautilus. I think if they were to look at this a plugin hybrid would be key for it. I do like the idea of a Lincoln based on the Bronco or Everest with a fixed roof. Lexus does fairly well with the GX and I think that they could target that market. Where the Aviator can go after the TX. My suggestion for new Lincoln Models they could get out quickly would be the following: 1. Z (Zephyr) 2. Aviator Hatch/Coupe 3. Lincoln SUV based on T6 4. Compact model below the Corsair, if the Corsair is staying Now the reality of it is, as stated above, Lincoln is just really not on the radar for Ford management. Jim Farley has talked in the past few years about important brands to Ford which, lets be honest, is 1. F-Series 2. Mustang 3. Bronco... everything else then Lincoln. It sucks when they get serious about Lincoln the brand gets serious movement then they hang it out to dry. It makes it very frustrating as a fan of the brand and as someone who has owned multiple. I wish things would change but it probably won't be any time soon. Anyway just my 2 cents.
  7. It's funny when they launched this new Navi they said they dropped the Premiere because no one bought it now they are saying they are adding it back due to customer demand... so which is it? lol
  8. I wonder if an Explorer Sport Trac would help at all it might eat into Ranger sales but I am thinking more of a light duty truck similar to Maverick, just something to help CD6 along. Would something like a fast back/hatch Aviator help at all? I hate to even suggest such a thing since I hated the BMW Grand Touring / X Coupes but they seem to sell a decent amount Mercedes has something similar too.
  9. I disagree on GM throwing the kitchen sink at the Escalade. They let it go on for years with barely any new features and a severely lacking 2nd row compared to others in the class but it still sold better than any of them and that was because of name recognition. The IQ fixed a lot of that but before the IQ look at the Escalade's 2nd row compared to others in the class and it was almost embarrassing.
  10. The color reminds me of the 7 up edition I dig it
  11. It is somewhat surprising the CT is outselling the Lightning since its the newest and has polarizing styling.
  12. I remember test driving a Honda that had the blind spot cameras years ago when I was shopping for my 13 MKZ Hybrid and I really like that feature. It adds more visibility. Glad to see others adding this feature.
  13. I still find it odd the new head of Lincoln won't report to Farley. I'm a bit worried about the brand. They need more than 4 models. Still no word or rumors as to what will happen with Corsair.
  14. I posted on here a few months ago about a fixed roof version of a Bronco for Lincoln to compete with Land Rover and the G Class and was told it was a stupid idea and would never sell.
