  1. Had the recall inspection done today. Good news is they only needed to do the transmission flash. So I'm good to go I did take the opportunity to remind them of an issue I've had since I bought the vehicle. Some how the driver side door got nicked pretty bad at the top of the door in transport. It left 2 spots clear through the paint and also ripped the weather stripping. They were supposed to order new weather stripping and fix the chips. Granted it's my fault for not following up on this, but hopefully it won't be an issue getting it taken care of. I love my Fusion (especially now that I tinted the windows :shades: )
  2. Thanks! PS - I've been more than pleased so far with my Fusion. Performance and comfort has been top notch!
  3. Ok, just got off the phone with my service department. I'm scheduled for a recall inspection and he said they'll run an OASIS (sp?) report to see what product enhancements apply to my Fusion.
  4. Can you give me more info on the transmission issue? I have the 6sp SS.
  5. I did a little googling and found this article: http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2010/04/recall-alert-33256-2010-ford-and-mercury-vehicles.html So I guess my question is, has anyone had this work done? How long will it take?
  6. Unfortunately I don't have the card on me but I don't remember any details on the reason for the recall. Do you know what the VIN ranges are for the affected units and how can I find more info about what actually needs to be done?
  7. I just received a card from my dealership stating my Fusion is part of a recall. Has anyone else gotten a notice and what does it entail?
  8. Thought I'd chime in with my 2010 nav experience. I LOVE it. Here's the positives: Sync integration: Being able to voice control the nav unit makes it very easy to use. Sirius Travel Link integration: I get weather, sports, and fuel prices right on the display. Very handy when low on fuel or to check weather conditions during a trip. Display: It's an 8" screen. Much easier to see than a smaller PND. Plus if you get the reverse camera it's used as the display instead of the rear view mirror. Prompts: You can get the navigation prompts through the stereo as opposed to the small speaker on the PND. Some PND's have the ability to connect to the stereo, but then you lose the ability to listen to the stereo at the same time. Now, things aren't all roses. The voice prompts with the nav unit can be kinda wonky. For example, to place a phone call you have to go into the "Phone" voice menu first then place your call. You can't just hit the voice button and say "Call home". That's the only crazy thing I can think of. For me, I feel it's worth the price. I've used PND's before and this is the first factory nav I've used. My .02
  9. I would say you about spot on. The 3.5L AWD is rated 17 City/24 Hwy. With your mix of driving and the engine still being new will lend itself to lower mileage.
  10. If I recall correctly, they will notify you. Then you just call Sirius and extend. We did that on my wife's '08 and paid the year sub. They may ask you for your radio ID but that will be on the paperwork. The thing that stinks is, you can't get the Sirius Online until you resub. Till then, the account is listed under Ford.
  11. I don't even go that far. I just fill it to the first click off. Are you saying you can get 2 clicks?
  12. It most certainly does. At launch it was the only non-hybrid Fusion model with it. I thought I heard rumors it was going to be added to the I4's later. It's very easy to tell when it's functioning. When I'm traveling over 40 mph and lift off the gas you can feel the vehicle sort of drag. The feeling if MUCH different in my wife's '08 without DFSO. It can coast much much further than mine. But I've become accustomed to the added engine breaking and definitely see a difference in mileage.
  13. I wasn't worried I'm VERY glad I had mine this weekend. We went to a county fair and it was muddy as hell out! Mats worked like a charm :D Did you order the full set or just the fronts?
  14. 2010 Fusion SEL FWD 3.0L V6, 5500 miles, averaging 28 with mixed rush hour highway traffic. On the one long distance trip to upstate NY averaged 33 running 70-75 mph. The DFSO works great and I've really gotten used to driving with it.
