  3. Without resleeving it there' no way you'd get a Coyote out to 5.8 which something that Wiseco is looking at doing. Maximum stroker kit, theoretically, is 5.4.
  4. The below is a GS with the detuned 315kW model. The numbers on the dyno, in this case, aren't the same as what's on the badge. But nevertheless, it's amazing how much he's gained with the tune. Same (EXTREME TUNING) dyno, by the way.
  5. Long story short - FPV quotes 335kW (450HP) for the blown Coyote (codename Miami). They were referring to the power at the WHEELS! Read on! Three weeks ago a local Ford-dedicated magazine, "Street Fords", had a press car for a few days. Their first stop was the strip with a time of 12.92 @ 114MPH (2.1 60'). With the 120kg driver it tipped the scales at 4277lbs. Traction was an issue. They then took it to a performance workshop, threw it on the rollers to record 353rwkw (473.9rwhp)!!!! They were dumb-struck, off course, so they took it to another dyno the next day. That reeled off 328rwkw (440rwhp). *Bare in mind, driveline loss is more than what you're used to in the U.S.; it's (calculated to be) closer to 25% here in Oz.* The internet arguments started - many were skeptical that this is pulling over 550 flywheel hp with that Trap Speed. UNTIL.... This morning, when another reputable workshop got the exact result. No, not a press car, but a customer's. Bang on 325rwkw. Second run, tightened down even harder, the GT's ecu pours more boost, fuel and timing as more heat is detected. It pulled 333rwkw. One of the skeptics was there. He did the extra tightening. He was gobsmacked. This tuner explained why the MPH was down. The gear changes come with heavy torque truncations, thus inhibiting the power during shifts down the strip - obviously won't come into play on a dyno. A very slight play with the SCT flasher resulted 355rwkw (over 600HP!!!). Not bad for a non-intercooled 1.9 tvs. Hats off to Ford USA for designing a brilliant base for FPV to work off. Thank you! /The intercooled version is on it's way :D

Considering the FPV F6 (turbo 6) is rated to 310kW by FPV but consistently measures above 280rwkw on our chassis dynos - which have a higher percentage loss than those in the US (~22%) - I would almost guarantee this is 335kW is closer to 360kW. This is without an intercooler and very little psi. Also consider that this only spins to 6000rpm, so from that, also, you can see it's not only grossly under rated, but pegged back a fair bit in terms of rpms - the 1.9 litre unit can is good for a whole more psi at much more revs. (Out of the box the F6 is good for 12.4-12.5 down the quarter. It weighs 4000lbs) Barring all that, to have peak torque @ 2200rpm (all the way to 5500rpm) does a fair bit to the heart rate. There's another reason Ford in Australia are hesitant to quote higher numbers: history has shown the media here will crucify Ford in particular when they've upped the ante. They (the media) caused the abortion of the Phase 4 GTHO, they also caused a stir when FPV released the original F6 with 550Nm of torque. There is a reason for FPV's comments from the first article below. And another thing... the ZF auto was already rated to 600Nm prior to the changes and upgrades listed in the above post. One wonders why they had to do all that when they've quoted the torque to "570"Nm.
  8. Nah, look out for more cubes (than what the GT500 currently has). A famous number, too. "Hollywood" was the 6.2 litre Boss in the Falcon, along with the US' auto box to go with it.   10. There is horsepower, and then there is torque. Then, there are factory quoted figures - for example Mustang GT's 412hp, which you think is substantially under-rated - and then there is actual power, which in this blown case, is grossly under-rated. And from what I can gather, FPV have spent a lot of time trying to hold back the power, especially with the entry level models.
  11. Blue II you're a tease. Power delivery from the blown 5 litre Falcon would be on a totally different level than the highly strung V10, leaving low rpm driveability in the Ford a whole more rewarding. Now, the M5 has 550hp, and is no slouch when the whick is turned right up, and being significantly lighter than said GT-H your remark on this has made my day.
