  1. Time for an update. I ordered nearly 16 weeks ago and I'm still waiting while some people have their ordered cars in as little as four weeks. Quality is one thing but this is ridiculous. Never again. 16 weeks? If it takes more than 12 weeks to fix a car that was manufactured in two days, I'm not so sure I want it anyway.
  2. If it's the start date of Job #2 you're interested in, it's 8/16. I believe you can order a Job #2 car from your dealer now. I believe the plant is getting ready for a two week shut down for re-tooling so you should probably expect it to take around 12 weeks to get a Job #2 car at this point. Of course, someone please correct me if any of this is wrong. On the other hand, I ordered on 3/20 (five days after the actual start of Job #1) and I'm still waiting more than 14 weeks later.
  3. Now that's just ridiculous, I'll assume you're joking! I ordered way back in March (14 weeks ago this Saturday to be exact) and mine is completely MIA! I've been given a BS ETA of 7/15 and by dealer can't get an update to save my life.
  4. As I watch people taking delivery that ordered before me and well after me, I can't help but to feel like Milton in video clip.
  5. I'm in the same boat. Mine has a scheduled build date of 4/15 and it still hasn't shipped. Oh, and it's not even a 5.0 so there's no hold to speak of.
  6. I'm not trying to make problems for anyone but this is why more information needs to be available. I stopped by another dealer (not the dealer I ordered from) four weeks ago and took these pictures of a regular dealer stock 2011 V6 Mustang.
  7. The following is an email that was received yesterday by one of my fellow forum members. To me, this is just plain wrong when there are dealer stock cars everywhere.
  8. Yeah, my dealer claims they were told by their rep that it's sitting due to a missing a-pillar trim piece. Considering they're still manufacturing, it would be nice if they'd slap one on my car and send it out.
  9. It's ok, I also apologize for my frustrated rant. I've been in the dark for a while now. My dealer has actually been fairly good to me and I know that they're as in the dark as I am so I've left them alone to do their work. As one of my fellow forum members so accurately worded this situation, "You can't sell cars based on emotions and then not expect those emotions to come into play when those cars aren't delivered in a reasonable amount of time." Is my car sitting in area 51 for as long as it has reasonable? I suppose that answer depends on which side of the computer you're facing. Something I failed to mention before; Kudos to Ford for making a car that is far superior to anything comparable that is on the road today and for making sure that these cars are flawless. All anyone wants right now is to be informed considering the magnitude of making the decision on such a large purchase.
  10. I've got to agree with PT on this one. This is the first car I've ever ordered and it's been one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever dealt with. I ordered on 3/20, the car was scheduled to be built on 4/15, and it was assigned an ETA of 5/6. Problem is, it so happens, that 5/6 is the same day that it was delivered to area 51 where it STILL SITS TODAY! Even today the CSR at Ford claims my ETA is 5/6. Hello?! It's June 10th, are you telling me that the car will be delivered next year or did someone drop the ball? I'm sorry for this rant but I'm to the point of walking away and I'm buying with a z-plan. For a loyal, z-plan customer that is willing to purchase a car sight-unseen, I'm being treated somewhat poorly. Oh, and by the way, you might want to consider that those "Armchair crybabies" in this case are Ford's most loyal, enthusiastic customers.
