  1. Here is an email I received today thru this site. " X-Plan Pin Request Forum" I'm forwarding tot he FBI as it is an illegal site making fake IDs. EMAIL
  2. Updated and more detailed information Oct 4,2018 My car was hard starting and the Nav screen said it was shutting down things to conserve battery. I started the car and drove it to the dealer. Said battery was bad and replaced it and drove home and drove it on the 5th, 6th. Oct 7 2018 I look at the new updated MyLincoln App and I have a msg from car saying battery is low. (Oct 7 1:15AM) Battery was at 4 volts. Called Lincoln Roadside and verified and jump started car. Being Sunday I decided to keep the car and not have it towed to dealer and place on a trickle charge after driving it around about 30 minutes. Battery showed 12 plus volts. Oct 8 2018 Drove to Lincoln dealer and told him story above. Oct 9 2018 5PM Service Provider called and said that couldn't find any issues over night and put battery on charger and to come pick it up at noon on Oct 10. The only thing that has changed it I updated the SYNC3 to version 3.0 a few weeks earlier. Not sure which build and will turn off my wifi connection when I pickup car. Could that be the drain while parked in my garage? Thanks
  3. The only thing I did or change in the car was update my Sync 3 to version 3.0 If you hear any thing please post. Thx Iggy
  4. On Oct 4th my 2016 MKX with 15,000 miles had a bad battery. Started the car with a jump and charging was 13.6volts. Took to dealer and they installed new battery under warranty. Today Oct 7th I receive text msg from the car that my battery was low at 3AM in the morning. Nothing is left on, I reset my sync3 to factory defaults on the 4th and it still has something on that drains the battery. I have read that some modules do not turn off that may be causing this as others have had similar problems in both Ford and Lincolns. I will be dropping off at the dealer in the morning in hopes they have heard about this problem for awhile as I read many messages dating back to 2015 about the battery drains down over night. As an additional note I was getting a msg about my headlights not function correctly a few times about a month ago. I have the headlights that turn with the wheel. Any info would be helpful. thanks Iggy
  5. Final chapter. I picked up my 2016 MKX with Sync 3 last Monday Jan 18th. I have taken a few trip and now have about 450 miles on the odometer. Everything is working flawlessly and here is a few of my observations. 1. Sync 3 was worth the wait and is super fast and voice commands are easy for me. 2. Cell phone linking is easy on my Android and both phone calls and text messaging is now fun and effortless. 3. The 3.7L V6 has plenty of HP and Torque and was a great choice instead of the $2,000 for the turbo charged 4 cylinder. On the open road I cruised at 75 mph and very stable and quiet. I did take it up to 105 mph and still had more but I had passengers. lol 4. Adaptive HID headlights is a must as I think the LED don't reach the same distance or intensity. 5. The 20", 20 spoke rims and the Hankook tires are fantastic. I have been told that the 20" tires are the widest available and do make the car look awesome and are smooth and quiet at all speeds. 6. The Ruby Red gains peoples attention compared to the basic colors and looks super sharp in the sun! 7. The electric steering and feel if much different than power steering and took a bit to get me accustom to it. 8. The Reserve seats are comfortable and the standard 10 way adjustment is enough for me. 9. I have been examining the fit and finish all around and inside and can't find anything wrong. 10. Gas mileage is 22-24 but I have been driving locally as well as highway at high speed so I feel that reasonable mpg for now. 11. GPS, Radio, SAT Radio work flawlessly and I have used the Lincoln App on my phone to start, stop and read all the engine stuff. It took a day to finalize online registration. I don't expect to use this much until summer when we start getting really hot here in Arizona and will be able to start my car way before getting to it in the parking lot. 12. Oh the transmission is sealed and mine doesn't have any dipstick. I have looked and asked others but it is no where to be found. Maybe it has some electronic sensor that tells you if its low and has a leak. 13. Sun/moon roof is a nice touch even though I didn't want it but now I'm glad I got it. 14. My MKX Job #2 has the menu item to turn on and off the automatic mirror retraction when locked. I know many in Canada was wanting to hear about this. Now I need to copy this and place it on the Lincoln website. Time to drive and enjoy. If you have any questions please ask away.
  6. I took my 2016 MKX with Sync 3 on a 250 mile road trip yesterday. The 3.7L has plenty of HP and torque as I cruised west bound on I-10 towards LA. On a straight stretch where the speed limit was 75 mph I opened her up was a short jog to 105 mph. I shut it down but it the 3.7L still had plenty left but I had 2 passengers and didn't want them to slap me behind the head while driving. Smooth, quiet and very stable what comes to mine. After a few more miles under its belt and alone I plan to see what top end is. But for now I'm very happy especially with the Sync 3 and the cars style. When we stopped at a rest stop we had 6 people take a look and wanted to know what it was. I showed them a few features like the tail gate open and close with your foot as well as the push button control. Al they said was WOW! I know they probably didn't know these feature have been around awhile but it was fun showing them my new baby.
  7. Thanks Dedonut for thinking about me. Well yesterday was a wonderful day. Blue sky's and not a worry in the world. Was at the dealer by 10AM to pickup my MKX. No problems and drove it home. It's sad I can't add any pictures here but did on the Facebook MKX page. Today and tomorrow have planned 2 trips. Today will only be around 100 miles and tomorrow 250 miles. So I figure at highway speeds I will get accustom driving my new MKX. I guess I will let the DW drive a bit. lol I have the phone hooked up as well as my home wifi. Now I still have a few things I still have to learn and checkout. Question: Does the 3.7L transmission have a dip stick? Dealer and I were unable to find one. Maybe this transmission is a sealed system?
  8. My doc fees were $249 which is the lowest in Phoenix AZ area.
  9. Funny thing happened at the Lincoln dealer today. Drove up and was greeted by my sales person and headed to the desk to finalize the deal. I wanted to see and drive my car first before finalizing the deal. Went out side and they showed me my car but something wasn't right. It looked like my MKX but it has 21" tires and different rims. So I asked and they told me that is what it came with. I told them it wasn't my MKX as the MSRP was $51,500 and mine was $47,615 After a moment they doubled checked and this MKX Vin had a VIN# with the last digit different than mine. It was a 7 instead of 6. Boy were they embarrassed after they checked their documents. So I asked lets go find my MKX and we found it in the back yard just like it came off the truck on Wednesday. So we went inside and finalized the deal which worked out great for us. We got $2,000 off MSRP and $500 off for incentive. $2,500 off MSRP was a good number for us being it was Job #2 with Sync 3. I did have them throw in for free the rubber bumper scratch guard with MKX logo. The bad part is now we have to wait until Monday to get it setup and ready for delivery. So 3 more days until I get it. They also added that any scheduled maintenance they will drive a flatbed to my house and drop off a loaner and take mine in service. I do live about 20 miles away. I said this isn't a Black Label MKX which is part of the Black Label cars. They said they do this with all New Lincoln owners. WOW! Wasn't expecting that. Even if I drop it off for the FREE 2 year service they will give me a loaner car even for 1 or 2 hours. Now that is service more than I ever expected. FYI Dealer is Sanderson Ford Lincoln and a local family owned operation here in Phoenix.
  10. I don't have a X-Plan number so I guess I can't get it. I know they have $500 incentive but I have a few more things up my sleeve. They only took $750 off msrp plus the Ford Conquest money which is -$500. That won't get it for me so it may be a long afternoon. I want at least $2,500 off MSRP as that seems what is going on around the country. Any magic ideas?
  11. Thanks Dedonut. Yes we are heading over to the dealer this afternoon to see and drive my MKX. No firm price set yet so it will be a few hours of chit chat. lol
  12. Having considered both I'm still feeling spending $10,000 more for the MKX Reserve with Sync 3 instead of the upcoming 2016 EDGE w/Sync 3 I'd like to hear your opinions on the value or not. Technology in each. Quality in each What I'm looking to hear is my future buy of the MKX worth the extra money if they are closely the same instead of body shape? Your opinion is worthy to hear. Thanks

What I have found is it has not been built yet. 2015 Edge
  14. No. The MKX was ordered by the dealer and not me. They posted it on their website prior to delivery and all I said is I want first crack at it next week. The Internet Guy basically put my name on it to drive. We will then negotiate the final price after I see it and drive it.
