  1. I have a 2011 Edge Limited with BLIS. I am looking for a replacement driver side mirror (just the mirror not the entire mirror assembly). According to Tasca parts, the current part number for just the mirror is listed as CT4Z-17K707-J (With blind spot monitor, with memory, from 2/08/11). Mine was manufactured in May of 2011. I am the original owner. The issue I have is that when I removed the mirror that I want to replace, the part number on the back of it is CT43-17T675-D. This seems very different from the one listed by Tasca parts. Can anyone confirm that the part number listed above is the current replacement part for the one shown on the back of my original mirror. Or, if it isn't, provide me with the proper, current, replacement part number. Thanks! re5513
  2. Truck acquired! I'm sorry I missed the updates during the shutdown period but no matter, I ended up being in Japan when it showed up at the dealership anyway. Thanks for your help Cyberdman. F-150 eye candy follows (Near Garden of the Gods Park in Colorado).
  3. Update please. VIN 1FTFW1EG1GFC74819 Thanks! re5513

  5. The lane keeping system used in the 2016 F150 uses a front facing camera located near the rear view mirror. The first thing I thought of asking is whether or not this front facing camera can be used as an integrated Dashcam. This would seem like a natural application extension, especially since the truck already has an SD memory reader. So far, there is no mention of this camera being used in this way (as a dashcam) that I can find. Yet, it would seem to be a great capability to make available since the HW is already there. Anybody know if this is possible?
  6. My apologies Cyberdman, the dealer code listed on the DORA form is 56L200, I don't know if that is different than F56200 or not. I ordered an F150 so my assumption is that this is all consistent with what you provided given the "scheduled to week" date. Order number is confirmed as 8724. Unless this clarification changes the order tracking status, no need to update. Thanks.
  7. Update Please: Dealer Code: 56200 Order Number: 8724 Thanks!
  8. Thanks!!! Do you know what significants improvements are targeted for the MY 2017 F150? I'm assuming there will be minor changes/updates.
  9. Does anyone have an estimate as to approximately when we can expect Ford to cut off orders for a new 2016 F150?
  10. >Same tires/wheels? Good question. Yes. The Platinum comes with 275-55R20's. Thus I configured the Lariat to have the same size and style of tire and same rim size.
  11. I was using the on-line configurator to configure two essentially identical option setups for both F-150 Lariat and Platinum trim levels. Both vehicles were configured with a supercrew cab, 3.5L ecoboost engine, and a 6 1/2 foot box along with the max tow option and enough lariat options to essentially duplicate both a maxed out Lariat and fully optioned Platinum truck. What I noticed is that the Lariat shows a max payload of 2650 lbs and a tow capacity of 11,700 lbs. Meanwhile the Platinum trim version of essentially the same set of options shows a maximum payload of 2050 lbs and a tow capacity of 11,700 lbs. As best I can tell is that the seats in the Platinum trim version must be about 600 lbs heavier than those used in the Lariat trim level (those must be some hefty massage components and really thick leather!). My guess is that the Lariat configuration limits are just overly optimistic. Have any of you looked into this difference and can offer a reasonable explanation as to the reason why the payload limits for each trim level are off by 600 lbs? Cheers, re5513
  12. >20's look nice, 18's ride better. Agreed. One idea I had this AM is to use up the 20" tires and then when it's time to replace them, get new off-road rims along with new tires and scale down to 18"s. Do you know if there would be any reprogramming required? The circumference of both setups (stock 20" with 275-55R20 tires versus stock 18" rims with 275-65R18 tires) is virtually identical so I'm guessing then that no re-programming would be required to accommodate the different tire/wheel sizes. Would you agree?
  13. For a 2016 Lariat 4x4 Crew Cab, there are two tire sizes you can get with associated rims: One is 275-65 R18 The second option is: 275-55 R20 My thoughts are the the 20" wheels/tires are probably on the order of 6-9 lbs heavier per tire and they have a lower sidewall height compared to the 18" tires/wheels which could make the 20" tire/wheel more at risk for being dented in off road applications. That's the theory anyway. What I want to ask the forum is real-world experience. Has anyone actually used a 20" rim/tire in off road trails and decided that they were less optimal compared to the factory 18" wheels? I'm probably leaning toward the 18" rims/tires at this point but wanted to see what kinds of comments based on experience I might receive before I make a final decision. Thanks much! re5513
