Now "Premium Worked Overtime" isn't on this weeks paycheck. Last week I was at 10,333. Anyone who cares to look at the 3rd field down under "Earnings" for Payment Date 2-Oct-2026 can see their YTD for tax purposes. But not anymore, unless it was just a mistake from payroll that will get fixed.
-
Our W2 for 2025 does not show our eligible overtime. If you’re still an active employee you surely noticed the new YTD field increasing weekly for “Premium Worked Overtime”. That’s because we can deduct $12,500 off our taxable income and it’s retroactive starting January 2025. I’ve been waiting to go to HR Block in hopes that Ford will either update the W2 for 2025 or provide a seperate form. Of course I can tally it up myself but it’s not as simple as counting anything over 40 hours because they’re only using the “half” part of time-and-a-half. For example, I worked 54 hours which we all know is 14 hours of overtime but my YTD only increased by 7 hours. Double time however does actually count completely. Anyone in payroll reading this feel free to chime in Lol

Both. Supposed to be an announcement after sub council meetings in March.

Four different reliable sources have said we’ll have $100,000 SRI packages in the first quarter. But until we actually see something in print it’s all hearsay.
-
You were right. Just talked to a guy from Louisville and they have SRI packages. Yawning though, because it’s only $50K again. Outta 4,500 only 69 took it. Of course only Ford and their local union knows how many were eligible.
-
Thanks brother! This would be the first time SRIs weren’t offered to everyone at the same time. Then again it’s the first time they’ve been offered mid contract. Sure was hoping they’d offered more money since the UAW slogan was “Record Profits Record Contract”. My dad got $140K back in the day, then as you know, it dropped to $70K, $60K and now we’re still at $50K. Oh well, if it comes my way i’ll pass again

Okay so i’m trying to understand your reply. 69 people signed up for the Retirement package? Because that’s what sri stands for: Special Retirement Incentive. So when you say “they” will be layed off you can’t be talking about those 69 people. But since you say they were offered SRI Packages then everyone will want to know two things: How Much MONEY was it and WHEN are they retiring?

Additional SRI Packages currently being discussed at Ford NOW! I’ll quote: “Hopefully we’ll have something for you SOON” IMG_2202.MOV

I understand the attached bulletin states Changes to NATIONAL Attendance Program, but just wanted to see if other locations are doing this part: ( 4th bullet point ) Limits our after-the-fact absences to 60 hours? Since I transferred to Ford Customer Service Division we’ve been able to use as much E-Time after-the-fact as we want. Since Ford Dealerships are open many holidays, to get our customers back on the road, we are open to provide the Ford Genuine Parts. Converting those voluntary holidays into our Excused Absence Allowance is practically meaningless now, especially since you can also use Vacation after-the-fact now. This nullifies any incentive to work a holiday because if ya don’t convert the 8 hours you get taxed like a bonus for triple time and lose half the money. Ford may like limiting our ability to take a day off and get it covered after-the-fact but has put at risk the customer not getting their car fixed on time and not buying another Ford again, ever. So they doing this at your place? It’s probably irrelevant. I had 20 years in Wixom Assembly before it closed and as I recall we very rarely worked any holidays. And why would you now, when you can just use your vacation days after-the-fact?

Yeah my dad took the $140K with no health insurance when Ford took away his janitor classification he had 42 years at the time. $150K would break that record and sure would be nice Lol! But “additional incentives” could just mean more of the same; like after 2024 those members who will reach 30 years credited service during 2025 may be offered $50K ( or anyone with 30+ ). The pattern has been take the SRI or wait til next contract but that last sentence sure sounds like there will be more offers. I’ll be at 40 years and $40 an hour in 2028 unless they make a better offer. Time will tell.

The topic of the attached letter is SRI: Special Retirement Incentive and the last sentence states “additional special incentives may be offered”. The current offer is $50,000 and you have to retire by the end of 2024. After that I bet they raise it potentially every year because $50K is Not a Record. Their slogan is Record Profits equal Record Contracts. Wishful thinking? Read the last sentence on pg. 73C and understand the language gives them the flexibility to offer More at any time during the entire length of this Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Agreed! It’s time! When I hired in “1988” our contracts were 3 years and we received 3% raises Every Year which equaled 9% then they changed em to 4 year contracts with 3% raises every other year which equals only 6%!!! Also COLA would roll over into our base pay and since we voluntarily gave that up to avoid bankruptcy that should have been given back without a fight! Even if we received cola, $600 Christmas bonus etc etc those wouldn’t even be gains because we already had em before! We are now trying to make up for all we’ve lost over the years while seeing the company record profits every quarter!!!

Sound obvious but here’s the math. The proposed 20% increase upon ratification would be $6.40 times 40 hours would equal $256 which is exactly the same as an 8 hour day times our current $32 pay rate. You may think that’s a good trade: we get an extra day off but the raise makes up for it. Not True. It’s an illusion because if you only work 32 hours times that $6.40 you only get $204.80 so we actually lose money. Losing a day a week is 4 days a month which is almost like losing an entire paycheck per month. If this goes through you may be excited to see $38.50 per hour but confused why your check is less. Hope this helps.
