mine aren't flat they're very good quality high ended rubber mats.you can also cut them in slits and perforated areas. I don't need anything else even for muddy off roading. LOL.

seriously guys I got the Michelin rubber mats for mine and they work just fine. $9-19 at Wal-Mart. why would you pay towards of $ 100?
