  1. So I've run into a few instances that mine has given me problems. when parking behind a small truck my front end pulls in too far an if I didn't stop would make impact at the passenger door. This has happened twice all other times I've used it have been great, but this scares the S out of me because it either works 100% of the time, or it's completely useless when trying to use in traffic! Please let me know if anyone else has had any issues like this?
  2. It's not and the 2014 system is the same as the 2013 one. Won't stop the cat on it's own but will definitely help avoid a collision by altering the driver. I personally wanted the active city stop, but after having my Fusion for a few weeks I think the warning is more than enough. There are false positives all the time when you approach a car turning out of your lane. I think the active stop would be really annoying in these circumstances.
  3. You're dealer has it on the Vehicle Visibility report, that's seems to be the best way to get it. Cyber will only dosh it out if it's on the latest update at the point in time you're able to ask him for a status.
  4. Thanks for all the help you provide everyone on this forum! Without you the wait would be much more difficult!
  5. Just a quick note. I happen to use my son's names as well. Turns out both of them earned me a coupon but neither me or my wife were able to get one after the original expired. FYI, coupons are per household so the name doesn't matter!
  6. The other problem is that the more information you give customers, the more explaining that will need to be done when things get delayed. Or you eisk unhappy customers when an ETA goes from a certain date to "unknown." Or you may have customers tracking their orders so closely that they show up at rail yards, or follow the car haulers down the road, ect. That part will require them to add more and more employees to deal with people trying to find they're cars in the wild prior to delivery. That alone would add so much extra to the bottom line that it could possibly affect the overall price of the car. Not to be a downer, but we need to be objective and think about this from all angles.
  7. Nicely done LA!! :tumbleweed: I did go visit her again today at the dealership. Luckily it's really close so I can check in daily and my sales rep is awesome, she said anytime while we wait I can come by and play.
  8. May car arrives at the dealer right on time this morning. No more than 12hrs after my wife left for San Francisco on a business trip. We have everything set to put both of us on the car but since they wouldn't let her sign before the car arrives we're waiting until Saturday to pick it up. It's been 5 months so I guess 5 more days won't hurt...
  9. What a day, it started out by finding out my rail car was delivered to it's destination. Which after a little searching I found out wasn't too far from my office, so at lunch I thought hey why don't I see if I can go get a glimpse of my rail car and maybe if I'm lucky I'll see a car that looks like mine and I can take a picture of it. Well after getting to the yard, outside the fence and unable to see anything I had this random car come out and the guy introduced himself. We started talking and I told him who I was and what I was doing. He thought that was pretty cool that I'd go thorough all that trouble so he got me inside and offered to check where my car was out of the 2,000+ on the lot and in the rail cars. He said it's more than likely inside a rail car and since they're at capacity won't be unloaded for a few days... But low and behold after a quick search of their database, he looks down at a piece of paper on his desk and points to my VIN then says it's being offloaded right now. So I put on the Orange safety vest and he grabs one of his guys to show me the rail car and said to let me take some pictures of the rail car. Well his worker must have heard more than that because I got to take pictures of my car inside the rail car (who gets to see that)! Then we walked around the lot for a few minutes and he explained how and why they do things, I ended up getting a full on behind the scenes tour. Then I look up and my car is coming right for us, pulls into the spot right in front of us (like it was planned that way). Needless to say I was impressed by everything not just my car but the logistics and shear numbers they move through that lot daily 365. What made it even better is that I got to sit in my own car and take pictures even before the dealer knew it had arrived. In fact a few hours later my dealer sent me a text saying they didn't have it yet, so I emailed about my experience and they thought that was pretty cool. So I wanted to give a shout out on here for the rail yard workers of America (I can't say which one I was at because they said over and over that they were breaking all sorts of rules by doing this)! You guys do amazing work and even though you're stressed and running at full capacity you take the time to entertain a super nerd like me. THANKS!! http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/gallery/album/289-special-delivery/
  10. Ok, so it's been built now, any way I could get a rail car number, Please? 3FA6P0RU4DR304150 Thank you!!
  11. The other date will be the date you're looking at the sticker, you may notice that change daily. -Sorry, I couldn't resist.
  12. Well lets hope so! Mine actually took longer to get from Vancouver to the offload location than it did from AZ up to Vancouver. Good news is that it's there now so hopefully it can catch a ride to my dealer now. :-)
  13. Patience, you have a perfect name for ordering the HyTi! There is plenty of information to be had on this forum, you've definitely come to the right place! You r build date should be approx 7 days after your sticker was generated, check ETIS a day or two after that and you'll have the actual date. Once it's been built you can ask Cyberdman for an update on your car (be sure to read the rules carefully), you want to do this a couple/few days after it's been built. That way there has been enough time that it should be loaded on s rail car and he should be able to provide that rail car#. If not you'll have to get it from your dealer's vehicle visibility report. Once you have that # you can track it every step of the way, search this forum and the Fusion Hybrid Forum for that tracking info, there are a number of different ways to do that. Lastly, don't forget to ask Malibu to add you to his tracking sheet. It's another helpful resource to see how long it's taking for others. Good luck and enjoy the ride!
  14. So after a few days sitting in Vancouver, WA my rail car finally made it Less than 1 mile to Portland where I hope it's at the drop off point and the dealer will be able to go pick it up. I've been using the old end of the month motivation to get as many people at the dealership working on it as possible. Hope to get it tomorrow if possible. otherwise it may be next weekend as my wife will be in San Francisco for the week and I'll have kid duty.
  15. My car is in the home stretch now. Hit Oregon yesterday, sat in Bend for a few hours today, now it's headed North and it looks like the next stop will be the metro area. Let's hope unloading and trucking across town goes fast!
