  1. Congrats and welcome to the club. I guess you're now DOOMED on the scrap heap with the rest of us rubes :fear:
  2. Yes, but I believe those features are package dependent (I have Reserve). [full disclosure...I haven't actually tried the heated seats. Check back in a few months ]
  3. I have. Here are some shots I took just for you (Please ignore the numerous fingerprints on the screen). I don't have any comparison to the MKX seats and don't remember how the regular seats felt in other MKZs but I'm happy with what I got. I love being able to custom fit the seat to me but the massaging part so far hasn't really been used except by my passengers. Because it obviously has to change from the custom settings while in massage mode, I don't find it all that comfortable.
  4. Thanks for the responses. I haven't seen any recurrence of the shutting off or the wrench so I'm still in monitoring mode. You may be right. As I said, I was kinda panicking so I probably didn't wait like I should. It's still beeping at nothing. My concern here is that I'm starting to ignore it which defeats the purpose of having it at all.
  5. I hope this isn't the start of a series of problems with my 3 week old car. Yesterday, I was starting to back out of a parking space and the rear parking sensor starts beeping like crazy even though there was absolutely nothing around. Then there was kind of a "galunk" sound and the car shut off. The little wrench icon showed up on the dash and it said "See Manual". When I tried to restart, the "P" button kept flashing and the car wouldn't start. I was sort of panicked by this time so I don't remember everything I did but eventually after pressing the start button multiple times and trying to put it in D, P, and R in various sequences, it finally started. After about a minute or so, the wrench disappeared and did not return during the 15 minute trip home. When I got home, all the manual said was to take it to an authorized dealer. Anyone seen anything like this? When I first got it, the rear parking stuff seemed to work okay but lately, it seems to sense things that are not there making me skittish about backing up at all. I checked the manual and online but have not yet seen anything about what does the flashing "P" (park button) mean.
  6. Maybe it's critic thing (or a guy thing) but not everyone worships at the altar of RWD. I personally could care less.
  7. Stick as in staying down when pressed or behaving in the manner similar to what I'm experiencing?
  8. Has anyone had problems with the the steering wheel buttons? One of the buttons that control the dashboard displays requires extra pushes (or extra hard pushes) to activate. The button on the left which controls the display mode, Enxxxxxx stuff, EV, etc. works fine but the one on the right which activates the Entertainment, Climate, Navigation, and Phone sometimes has to be pressed multiple times to work. Up and down seem to work fine and going to the left is not so bad but pressing on the right side and pressing the "OK" button is problematic. I took it in for service last week for that and a couple of other things and they seemed to dismiss my concern. First they said the SYNC upgrade would probably take care of it (of course it didn't). Then they said they checked it against another vehicle and it's working the same. For the button on the left, I can use the pad of my thumb, my finger tip, a knuckle, etc. to easily move the selection in any direction. The right side button moving to the right requires me to press up to 3 or 4 times and the "OK" can take up to 2 times to accept the signal. Meanwhile my eyes are off the road. Anyone else noticed this issue or if this is not normal, do you have suggestions on what magic words I can say to get them to take this problem seriously?
  9. I see a lot of you quoting your vehicle's city vs highway mileage. How can you separate the two?
  10. Thank you for providing this tracking service. It helped save my sanity. The car arrived at the dealership 8/26 (poss 8/27) and I took delivery 8/30. Hopefully, I'm doing the picture attachment thing correctly.
  11. Can't speak to leases since I've always purchased [I'm kinda with fordmantpw about forking over $17,000 and the keys after two years. To each his own I guess ] As far as the Grandpa thing.....Don't people say the same about Cadillac (as a brand)? I've only had my car for less than a week but I'm very satisfied so far (if not a bit overwhelmed with all there is to learn). No need to follow trends....Set your own. After seeing your car, let your coworker be the one with doubts.
  12. I know your post was a month ago ....... I picked up my car on Friday and during the purchasing process, they scheduled the first maintenance appointment for me in December. I'm wondering if that's what happened to you and perhaps they just didn't alert you at the time or it was overlooked in all the craziness of the process..
  13. If they were aiming for women with their Black Label, then at least for this woman, mission not accomplished
  14. Just talked to the dealer and my vehicle HAS ARRIVED!!!! :banana piano: I was trying to be patient but after seeing your post, I decided to call and check. I also never had the rail info so I couldn't track the seemingly leisurely route it took to get from Hermosillo to Los Angeles (when techman's made it all the way to VA in less time). I'm going to go see it today and perhaps take delivery tomorrow. The dealership is about 30 miles from my job and maybe 20 miles from my house (unfortunately, not in same direction), but with LA traffic, who knows how long it will take......... I don't know if I'll get the private cash since the one I have expired 6/3/13. Hopefully, I'll get the conquest. BTW, I am a "she"
  15. Could I have an update for vehicle (2014 MKZ) 3LN6L2LU3ER803769? Thank you for what you do here. It is very much appreciated.
