  1. My nickname at home is Google, if there is a question that no one has the answer to I Google it because I can't stand not to learn something new. I have read the owners manual for every car I have owned and read the one for my MKZ before I even got the car.
  2. I have an iPhone 4S and SYNC/MLT reads my texts and emails. It does get a little glitchy at times but all I do is forget the device and then re-pair it and it works fine again.
  3. I've had my 2013 MKZ Hybrid since the beginning of April, the only issue I have had so far is that the crash sensors would go off for no reason, even if I was the only car on the road for 1/4 mile. While it was in for the reporgramming I had them check the sensors. They told me they didn't find anything but just to be sure they recalibrated them and I haven't had an issue since.
  4. It only took me 20 minutes, I did it on my drive home the other day. Going to the dealership is a pain for me so I'm glad I can do the upgrade myself instead of waiting for a convenient time to take it in.
  5. I haven't seen enough rain here in South Texas to have this problem yet, but in my 07 MKX the windshield wipers were tied to the headlights and you could set the delay time from when you turned the wipers on to when the headlights came on down to 10 seconds. Surely we have the same thing on this car...
  6. I'm not that bad...yet But I do watch all the displays and try to stay in EV mode as much as possible....and the brake coach is my game - how high can I go?
  7. I have had my car for nearly a month now with less than 1,000 miles driven...I am at 39 mpg lifetime right now and am totally happy with that considering that my previous car was getting less than 16 mpg. I drive mostly during rush hour on city streets with way too many stop lights, and since I live on the edge of the Texas Hill Country there are plenty of small hills to make me accelerate just enough to activate the ICE even at lower speeds. I'm looking forward to my first long road trip this weekend to see what the car can do.
  8. It's certainly not as responsive as the touch screen on my iPhone but I haven't had any problems with it. After using it for a few days you become used to the very slight delays.
  9. I got to have that laugh yesterday when I took the car in for a wash...the one who drove it into the wash knew about putting it into neutral but the guy who got into it when it came off the rails couldn't figure out how to start it and put it into drive
  10. Is anyone else having issues with the crash warning system? I'm tired of being scared to death by the flashing red light and alarm when I can plainly see that I'm nowhere close to hitting the car that is slowing down to make a turn. I have tried to find the menu to adjust the sensitivity as outlined in the Owners Manual but can't find it.
  11. Finally getting around to posting pictures now that the windows are tinted. I've had the car for just over a week and I'm loving it more each day!
  12. The one touch down works on both front windows in mine, but the up feature only works on the passenger side. I'm bringing my car in tomorrow to get the windows tinted so I was going to ask them if this is a problem or if it is supposed to be that way. I don't know why it wouldn't work on the drivers window since my '07 MKX had it.
  13. You can use either of these to get your window sticker, just add in your VIN. http://fordlabels.webview.biz/webviewhybrid/WindowSticker.aspx?vin== http://services.forddirect.fordvehicles.com/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin
  14. Men seemed to dim when I used the plu and minus buttons....I truly hate bright lights on my dash at night so this was very important to me.
