No Boss 302 in 71. Boss 351 in 71 Boss 302 and 429 in 69 and 70. But it's your favorite, I can't argue if you were referring to the 70 Boss 302. -

Does Ford single source all parts? -
I agree. I don't know why Ford changes some things that don't need to be changed just because they think it's necessary. For example the spark plug debacle they had with the F150. Th FPC was actually a big problem too. Lots of those engines had to be replaced my friend had a GT350 and the engine broke with only 4000 miles on it. It's a shame really.

It may be a solution to you, but it's a band aid to me. The root of the problem is faulty injectors. Ford has to find out what went wrong and a date range or batch this problem started and stopped. Then get the problem fixed. Get the manufacture to pick up the tab for the recall. Yes it's a band aid and it's better than nothing for now. But having a 3 cylinder going down to 2 so I can get the car home is just well going to be a slow ride home. So the car has to go to the dealer anyway to get the bad injector replaced. Do you think they wold replace all 3? I doubt it, even though they should. If Ford doesn't mind the customer being pissed off then I guess it's a good band aid "temporary" solution.

Wouldn't Ford recoup the money back from the vendor for the defective injectors anyway? First off I have no hatred of Ford Motor Company. I have owned nothing but Fords since I was old enough to drive. I have bought, built, and worked on more Fords then you ever will. Three sit in my garage as we speek. But I will speak my mind when I think Ford is doing the wrong thing on quality. I'm not going to praise a company that knows it has quality problems and doing the same old bad habits to try and fix them. JMO
