  1. The entire Rouge complex is being deemed surplus upon ratification of the new contract. REV-C is dropping one shift, possibly 2 and DTP will remain a 2-shift operation. We’ll see how long Ranger/Bronco demand holds up but I don’t see us being a permanent 3-shift operation. I see it lasting until probably around the end of the decade at most.
  2. Possibly. I don’t know for sure, I never went to that part of paint shop when I was there.
  3. Some of their stamping work came to us at ISA. They ran 2 models there at FRAP for years with stamping still in operation.
  4. That depends. I never set foot in the body shop over there but if it’s set up even close to the way it is at MAP, they could very easily build the line for this new product in the empty half of the area without having to shut down the Mustang line at all. Paint shop is mostly a matter of programming robots. Any adjustments needing to be made to carriers and skillets in Final that can be done over time on weekends or regularly scheduled downtime.
  5. They probably didn’t include it in the contract because the program is still subject to approval but I’m sure there’s an earmark in the corporate budget somewhere for them to announce when the time comes.
  6. That’s not really considered a new program though, it’s an extension of S650. The contract specifically says it’s a new program.
  7. Still don’t see how, we can’t get enough parts to run 2
  8. Union: zero concessions this contract Also union: no back pay for people not on strike LMAO can’t make it up.
  9. https://uaw.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/HourlyHighlighter-Ford_FINAL.pdf Heres the entire contract: https://actionnetwork.org/user_files/user_files/000/098/799/original/Ford-Changed-Pages-2023.pdf
  10. Full contract details will come out at 7pm today. Livestream with Fain and VP Chuck Browning will be on Boomerbook, YouTube, and X formerly Twitter.
  11. Try calling NESC. The number is 800-248-4444.
  12. We all know Hackett was a buffoon in way over his head in an industry he knew nothing about.
  13. yeah I really hate that. Ford must really be confident they won’t be closing any facilities any time soon.
  14. If you say so. My personal experience says otherwise.
  15. I’ve seen them force retirement before if you’re a big enough fuck up. It was either retire by the end of the day on a certain day or be fire and lose everything. I expect to see far more of that.
  16. The only difference is locomotives don’t have the batteries involved
  17. This has been my absolute biggest complaint since my first day on the line. I see a lot of forced retirements coming in the next 12-18 months.
  18. Nevermind the fact that it was basically technology they developed as EMC (later EMD) back in the 1930s.
  19. Interesting little tidbit I just found https://x.com/mikemartinez_an/status/1717645031652155474?s=46
  20. I thought there was 2 in Tennessee, 1 in Kentucky and the 1 in Marshall that may or may not still be happening.
  21. I heard Marshall and Tennessee are. No word on Kentucky. We’ll all find out together on Sunday
  22. It wouldn’t surprise me to find out whoever runs UAW social media is deleting negative comments
