  1. On my 2014, if I pull back or push forward twice on the turn signal stalk, it will cancel the lights.
  2. I drove an Escape back in December with the 2.0 EcoBoost in it. It wasn't a screamer, but it could get up to speed quite well with the 240HP under my right foot. I wish Ford would install this engine in the TC! FYI, you cannot get the 1.6 in the LWB's.
  3. This is good to hear about TC longevity! I have yet to see anywhere near the 22/28 MPGs they claim... But with only 15,000 miles, hopefully it will be better. I have the tow package, but haven't needed to tow anything yet. I think I will add an auxiliary cooler to it if I do start towing.
  4. I contacted Ford VIA Facebook for info on how many TC were produced for 2014, and how many came painted Burnished Glow. This is the info I received back from Ford. The photo is of my TC at Crater Lake, Oregon last June. M Rick Richards Attn: Jeff. Hello Jeff, I am providing my VIN for my 2014 Transit Connect to fund out how many were painted Burnished Glow. Actually, if you could provide a breakdown of all the colors would be great. Then I can share that information with a TC forum that I am part of. NM0GE9F70Exxxxxxx. Ford Service Hi Rick, I've received the following information, regarding your request. Our system will only populate information regarding the specs on your VIN. I was unable to obtain specifics on each individual color. 2014 Transit Connect XLT Wagon LWB 4,412 out of that body style: 4,412 came with 6 Speed Auto Transaxle W/OD. 247 came with Burnished Glow exterior paint color. 4,398 came with a 2.5L DOHC Engine. 478 came with the Trailer Tow Package. 734 came with the Dual Zone Front Auto Temperature Control. 316 came with the Mid Vehicle Overhead Console. 1,045 came with the Roof Rack including Crossbars. 485 came with MyFord Touch/CD/Sirius/SYNC/Cam. 1,926 came with the Reverse Sensing System. 803 came with the 17” Alloy Wheels. 4,412 came with the rapid spec 210A. I was also provided the below link, in the event you would like to purchase a Build Sheet here. Hope this helps! Jeff Ford Service
  5. Well, it has been 9 months and 6,000 miles since we bought out 2014 TC. We like it and have taken it on a few road trips. My wife and I agree that it needs more power. We have the 2.5l as it is the only engine choice until Ford puts in an EcoBoost engine in it. I put the bug in Ford's ear that since the new YC is based on the new Focus, that it should get the new Focus RS drivetrain. you know, the 330 HP AWD! I think I will get a low pressure turbo installed after the warranty expires. I think 225 HP is a good number for these vans. We have had a few minor problems with it. I don't notice the rattling in the front door anymore, but the left sliding door outside handle wont always catch to open it. The far right rear seatbelt pulled out of the mount at the top mounting point. At the back of the sliding doors, their rubber strips have both come unglued. Lastly, we are waiting on the new fuel pump that is part of the recall. I, nor my wife have not come close to getting the advertised fuel economy numbers. I have a heavy foot, but she doesn't...
  6. Hello all, I'm the new guy here. A few days ago I bought a new 2014 TC LWB Wagon. I is the Burnished Glow with the black cloth interior. I really didn't want many options, but I had a couple I did want, and had to settle for one on the lot. I need the towing package and roof rack for my business, but I didn't need the Sync, heated windshield, or 17" wheels. BTW, the I hate the glare from the heated windshield at night. I do wish it had the Ecoboost, but they don't offer it in the LWB Wagon... So far and it has more pickup than I expected. I had taken a test drive in a LWB van, and it didn't have much get up and go at all. It got to about 45mph, and fell flat on it's face. I took it on a road trip today with the wife for about 130 miles into the Sierra Nevada Foothills outside of Sacramento, and it did pretty good on the hills. The cruise control held on the 4-5% grades with just downshifting a gear or two to maintain 55mph. I did notice some rattles in the front doors, but that was the only thing I noticed.
