  1. The last couple yrs you don't even know what time your working till. Start times are set but they can work you up till 10.3hrs a day if they want. Or send you home any time. Then force you to work a Saturday for only 4hrs on occasions.
  2. Wonder if the whole working from home thing has exposed many employees?
  3. The whole working from home thing with so many important launches is a huge problem in my o.p All the while production is hands on,and does get held accountable for the most part. I understand production has no choice, but their just to many moving pieces for engineering not to be with their teams, and visiting suppliers.
  4. Agree 100%. Things seem to be snowballing in the wrong direction for Ford motor. The launch of the Bronco has not been good. And the timing of gas prices is gonna hurt even more. I just hope the launch of the Lightning next week is huge,we need some good news.
  5. I like the idea of splitting us into 2 divisions,But the major problem is gonna be staffing. The timing couldn't be worse and is very worrisome going forward. Now Ford has attracted some top talent to run the operations but with all the BEV startups the whitecoller jobs are gonna be extremely hard to fill. I know the tax credits in( blue oval city) Tennessee have a stipulation of hiring 5000 employees alone. Great time to be an electrical engineer, so much leverage.
  6. Couldn't agree more,it's so disappointing and troubling. It really sucks because The lineups are amazing atleast onTwitter anyway.
  7. My oldest is turning 26 soon and the cost is@$750.00 per month.
  8. The lineup is hot but unfortunately we can't capitalize on it. I know its industry wide but things seem to be going backwards, getting worse.
  9. Were some sweet deals on the b- lot. My dad bought an escort diesel in the mid 80s thing was a dog, lol. But he loved the 600 miles he got per fill up.
  10. Farley has really put the company in the spotlight. He's regularly on CNBC pumping Ford, Mulally did this also. He is truly a car guy, love seeing him at the track all decked out in his race gear. Also the way he uses social media, complementing elon is good optics, and just a positive for the company. This all great for us shareholders but he's really set the bar high and must deliver on the lightning, everyone is watching.
  11. 1.the two tier pay scale 2.these new hires do not get short work weeks until I think a yr of service. Currently a very common thing, short work week that is. 3.these jobs are not very desirable, I myself with 25yrs dont think I would want this work if the table's were turned. Lots of really good opportunities out there. I know there's more to it but these aren't easy jobs.
  12. I believe it was a magna plant in Howell that had an explosion. Ford used a huge Russian plane to fly a die from Europe
  13. Rawsonville is the plant doing f-150 battery work.
  14. Recalls, terrible timing with launches for Ford. GM has a strong presence in Mexico on profitable vehicles,Buicks made in china shipped here also helps the bottom line.
  15. Before the current ranger was here in the u.s I would see one with a a right hand steering wheel driving on 94. Seen a couple times @ metro airport.
  16. While I would tend to agree with this. The fact that these 2 vehicles b.s and mach have had a successful launch Says something about Ford's Mexican operations. Hopefully we can follow suit with the Bronco sooner than later.
  17. Gonna be real interesting to see how all the new hires (basically the whole 2nd shift) at MAP adjust to that place. It gets extremely hot in that plant along with long hours the union and management have their work cut out for them.
  18. If true hope that's all,the only thing I heard was maybe the 12/18 being the last day.
  19. This isn't the first time FORD has audited its hourly employees. They nailed a bunch of people around 20yrs ago.
