  1. I get strong Mercedes GLS and EQS vibes from this.
  2. It's kind of cool looking, but as someone that gets a lot of Fortes and K5s as rentals, the base models are the ones that people will actually see on US roads.
  3. It's better than the parts bin prior generation, but the Navigator and Escalade will stomp this.
  4. My gripe with the Mach E's interior isn't the screen, it's the minimalism of everything else (I have the same gripe with the Tesla Model 3). If I am paying that much for a car, I expect a flashy interior.
  5. In addition to price, it just doesn't have that muscular Dodge look that dodge buyers have come to expect. FCA/Stellantis should have invested in some new sheet metal instead of just swapping grilles.
  6. It's crazy to think that Ford considered not selling the next generation Nautlius here. Lincoln sales could really take-off if Ford gave it some love and attention.
  7. I love it (I say this as the owner of a 2022 Charger). It is a great blend of tradition and modernity. I am also a fan of how it is unabashedly big and heavy (like American cars of yore).
  8. The Lincoln star is such a versatile emblem. I'm glad that they still use it and haven't watered it down like some other brands.
  9. I honestly think that this design would flop. To American consumers, the Edge has always had a kind of rounded, bulbous, crossover look to it. I say that in a positive way because it has always unapologetically leaned into that aesthetic (and has become a distinctive vehicles because of it) and has been a sales success.
  10. How do you know that? STLA Large hasn't launched yet.
  11. Stellantis is looking pretty good right now for developing a vehicle architecture that can accommodate EV, PHEV, and ICE powertrains, especially during the transitionary period in the automotive industry. GM and Ford are pretty boxed-in with their current platforms, and these constant change of products plans demonstrate that. They're not able to react to the market quickly enough.
  12. I hope that Ford invests in some significant refreshes for existing products if most new generation products are slated for the early 2030s.
  13. I'm not surprised - this was always a huge liability for him for two reasons: 1. Americans love to shop, and Americans love to shop specifically for the things that they themselves choose. This mandate strikes at the heart of American consumerism. 2. The EV mandates make many rank-and-file union members really nervous (as they should be).
  14. Losing the Airflow was a disappointment. It's a nice looking vehicle.
  15. What about the concept do you find eye catching? It looks like every other vaporware EV sedan/coupe concept to me. Chrysler has so much interesting design heritage to dip into, so I find the anonymous looks a little disappointing.
  16. Bleh - too anonymous for my tastes. I would prefer something distinctive like the 300.
  17. If buyers have an income to support buying a brand new Aviator, they may not mind paying a few hundred dollars more per month per payment. This is not a price conscious crowd for the most part.
  18. Kia's taking some Cadillac influence with those Carnival headlights.
  19. If that is truly the case (and it seems to be based upon the Mach-e's current challenges), then I think it would be hard for Ford to justify dedicating an entire plant to these mystery vehicles.
  20. That's such an awesome design - retro yet modern. I may have to trade-in my Charger GT for one of these.
  21. I'm curious to see how this turns out. I like that they had a skunkworks team do this as all of the big. priority projects that companies have usually have a lot of "cooks in the kitchen" (i.e. management and executives doing some micromanaging and perhaps cost cutting). This team may have been able to put together something that is a bit more pure from an engineering standpoint.
  22. Few brands have been as hit or miss as Lincoln, but the company knocked it out of the park when they unveiled the Mark X concept at the 2004 North American International Auto Show. https://www.carscoops.com/2024/02/the-lincoln-mark-x-concept-still-looks-amazing-and-its-going-back-up-for-auction/
