  1. Yeah and CC should have to pay for bilking the state pension fund and not paying it back. They are all crooks.
  2. As above, I wanted to add my thoughts on a test drive I took but I can't even log into the forum???Any help, seems odd that a member wouyld be excluded for other sub foums like that.
  3. Is it me or ias this forum over all kind of slow? I thought with all the Ford/Lincoln owners that things would move a bit faster. I don't see much reason to have to bump a thread as it doesn't move down too fast.
  4. Stop crying, I root for the J-E-T-S.
  5. I didn't read the entire thread but let me say this. DT is no different then any other person running for the office. Not one of them are willing to risk life and limb to make this country better, they are all on the hook to someone besides the American public. They will do as they are told no matter what, any action that makes it look like they have us in they're favor is just another way of screwing us over. Look at all the fre money they gave us with the housing boom, made banks give out unqualified loans to people that had almost no income, then pull the rug out from everyone. Of course the people had to be complicit in this act. Then what happens, we the people get to bail out the failing banks. They will do it again, and again. we the people are suckers and are too fat to stand up and be counted.
  6. Nah, I'm a Ford guy that bought an MKZ. I figured that Lincoln MKZ might be taken anyway. I'm located in the smallest city (and nicest) of Hudson Co. And do my boating in southern Ocean co.

    Greetings

Thanks all, I'm having a little trouble navigating this forum but I'll get the hang of it. Thanks for the welcome!
  8. So I'll add a bit more now that I've got a few hundred miles on her. Heading out at 65 MPH I got an almost even 33 MPG (33.1) Heading back a few hours later at 70 MPH I got 31.5 MPG, all in all not half bad for a car that weighs around 3,700 lbs. City driving is another story though, I'm avg. 16.5 MPG in all city driving so far, with about 50 miles in the city thus far. One thing I've yet to figure out is, my call history isn't listed in the cars memory, my phone book is downloaded but not my call history, even after making several calls from the car. Any advice on this one?
  9. Thanks I'll look into this fix tomorrow.
  10. Let me see, I have to pay my Dunkin Donut counter staff $20 per hour now, well the cost of a donut just went up to $2.50 and a cup of coffee $4.00. Rent controlled aptments will remain that way for a short time until the owners protest enought to get a fair raise of rates and an apt that used to cost $400 will now cost $1,000. The only one that makes out is the Govt. as they role in higher tax $'s, but then again the $250 hammer will now cost them $750. What ever happened to the free market rate. FF jobs were filled by teens when I was young, not adults working them full time. You want more money, do something with a skill to earn it.
  11. So I picked up my new to me MKZ on Saturday. Car is 2013 in excellent condition, certified by the dealer with 13,600 odd miles on her clock. So far I can only report that I'm enjoying the car greatly. I've read some people having negative comments on the sound system, so I'll start there. After setting up the front/back speakers so that I can hear both set from my seating position tuning the base, mid and treble the way I like them I don't think the system sounds half bad. Sure at low volume there isn't a great crisp sound to the system and even at higher volumes the system doesn’t pump out window shattering bass, but hell, unless you want a disco in the car you shouldn't get that anyway. Of course if you love disco music or Rap you might need to install an aftermarket sub woofer but that isn't all that much anyway. As for the drive settings, I've only tried the one, I don't recall the actual name for it but it isn't sport or normal, it's soft, which I want to help my aching back. I do notice at least in this mode that the car has some sideways shake to it when going over pot hole infested city streets at a slow rate of speed. The steering might be a little lose feeling for me, but more testing will have to be done before I can surely say so. I'm taking her on a 200+ mile ride tomorrow so that will be a good test. The 2.0 engine sounds composed and even strong as she runs up through the gears, she shifts nicely and without complaint, reaches 60 quite quickly, certainly quick enough to make merging into highway traffic a snap. Sure she's not a burner and there is always room for more speed but you don't need 0-60 times in the 4 second range to merge into traffic. If you are looking for a race car you won't be looking at an MKZ in the first place. The climate controls will take some getting used to, I like air blowing out of the dash vents all the time, I notice that when I need warmer air the air flow diverts down to the floor and maybe even the defroster. I prefer the air flow remain at least partially onto my upper torso where I can better fell it. Well that's about all for now, still finding features I didn't know I had and getting accustomed to working them out in my own time.
  12. I located this MKZ over 3 months ago. 2013 with Light Dune interior, option package 102a,13K miles. I went buy the dealer the other night with my wife to ask her opinion on colors. I liked both the white and red ones they had and figured that after them sitting on them 4+ months they might be more motivated to sell. I lowered my offer from 26K (3 months ago) to 25K (they were now asking 26.9K), the sales person came back and split it at 26K. I came up 500 to 25.5K and stuck to my guns. After some minutes of debate the GSM came over and said he'd give me it for 25.5 but drom the certification, I stood up and told my wife it was time to leave. He asked me to stay and wanted me to come up just 500 more, "after all it's only 500." I said exactly, you've been sitting on this car for 4+ months and we are $500 away from a deal and your willing to let me walk. He put his hand out and said, we have a deal at 25.5K. I'm a happy man, and I pick the car up on Saturday. I didn't have the free time to get it tomorrow and they want to detail it again before I take it off the lot. The car is in as close to mint condition as I can imagine, minus 1 hairline scratch on the front bumper that may come out with a good buff anyway. The test drive went well and all systems worked. I'll give a full review once I drive her on my own a little while. I'm not so impressed with the THXII audio system at this point but I've yet to fine tune it to my liking. Thoughts opinions on my deal or car package color combo are welcome. I should have added it came with the 2.0 ecoboost engine
  13. Thanks for the info. I'm in both north and south Jersey. I live in north jersey but have a summer home along the coast for weekends and boating.
  14. Hi all, new to this forum. I'm searching for a new to me MKZ. I'd like one either white or black with the light dune interior. The options I'd like are the panoramic sunroof, heated and cooled seats, navigation and premium sound. If any of you are aware of anything wrong or defects with the options I prefer please let me know about them, better to know now then after I buy. Also I'm shopping 2013-2014 years as that woould be in my budget, anything I should know about on those 2 yr models? FMKZ
