  1. They apparently did because I see that some of them are still in use. I seen that them on the news during protests
  2. I remember hearing about Toronto police stockpiling like 300 of them and various other forces as you mentioned. You’re absolutely correct that’s why the old Vic lastest longer. I heard they still had orders when the plant closed.
  3. I’m really looking forward to seeing these new products in the near future. I hope they knock it out the park.
  4. That’s what I assume they will do but if so why wind down Nautilus 0ct 27th 2023 then run the edge for 3 more months after til jan31 2024 if autoforcast solutions info is accurate and doesn’t change again. There are rumors here at OAC that they may stop the edge in Oct as well. Either way I thought they would just run them both til the end but what I’ve noticed is when st Thomas assembly closed the town car went first then the crown Vic soon after. MKT was gone first then weeks later the Flex so maybe same scenario. Anyways I’m rambling here bottom line if Ford should stockpile both of them as there will be a void in segment for awhile! It would be nice to get offical info from ford but not til after contract!
  5. Have they not been working on this so called Lincoln BEV since 2019 when they first announced a BEV Explorer/Aviator??? One would think that if they’re launching a new GE2 Lincoln next year they would be done in that respect already in terms of development. We all know they’re working on other Lincoln’s but I don’t understand how you just dump the nautilus sign a void for what’s gonna be like a year and a half. We need to start seeing some future products real soon, Lincoln is lacking as far as I’m concerned.
  6. It will likely be months before we hear what they actually plan to do with the Nautilus in terms of if they will import after OAC production ends. It almost seems as though they’re still working on planning this project and what to do with Nautilus.
  7. Yeah you guys were down for awhile I remember and had to go through the same lack of money because of retool and information was limited at first.
  8. It would be better to be built over at Louisville than China but I bet it’s a COST thing once again.
  9. Good point there is a lot more complexity to it it can’t just happen overnight but they better make it happen I’ll say that much!
  10. Let’s hope whatever plan Farley wants to e execute it works
  11. We will either get full SUB which is supplemental unemployment benefit or possibly have to get EI from the government and partial SUB. Or we get SWW aka Short Work Week. All of these are a percentage of our pay which obviously isn’t full pay like 70-80 percent or so fast estimate. I have no idea exactly because we have a Unifor contract to deal with this year the same year the UAW does for the first time. It’s gonna be interesting as the UAW always gets better deals than us lowly Canadians do. FOMOCO has told us minimal in regards to their EV plan for Oakville. Heard more from Automotive News than Ford. Anyways, after the contract we will know what we will be paid and more solid timelines not auto forecast solutions tentative dates.
  12. They’re beating the cost drum heavy get the message out in a contract year!
  13. That’s what I think we should do, maybe we will. We’ve been building a bit more than usual lately but the mix is high some weeks some weeks it isn’t. When we stopped the mkt it was weeks before the flex and we built more of both near the end. I believe the situation will be similar near end of production here.
  14. You will hear cost cost cost quality quality quality etc etc
  15. Just watched a livestream of Jimmy Farley and company at your plant do you feel any better after hearing his corporate jargon??? If you were present or heard what they were saying. Quality this costs that etc etc etc
  16. I suppose Ford will let us know what’s going on with what they plan on doing from the time the Nautilus production ends this Oct rumor has it at OAC. Maybe they will import because that’s gonna end up being well over a year of nothing in that segment. Who knows? I sure as hell don’t!
  17. I wouldn’t doubt it with all these supply chain issues that the Ranger launch could be a mess. I thought you being in body which usually means not being able to keep up to the main plant would mean more OT. Guess not.
  18. They can’t fill orders yet only 4 Saturdays??? Which shouldn’t be mandatory I hope. I hate when they canvass for OT then cancel Bigtime piss off.
  19. Absolutely disgusting that 2019 orders haven’t been fulfilled.
  20. I feel your pain man but at least you haven’t been down 45 soon to be 46 down weeks since 2020 at OAC when we’re down yet again jan 30th. I thought MAP was bursting with OT and work opportunities super sundays etc etc. I’m shocked anyone there is getting OT reduced!
  21. I can’t wait to see what it looks like and I hope you’re right
