  1. If the Everest ever did come here they would have to build it at your plant since it’s basically a Ranger SUV.
  2. Original projection by Ford was 100,000 units of Ford/Lincoln 7 seater. I have my doubts based on the current scale back by this company.
  3. The long downtime isn’t necessarily poor planning. The plant has to be gutted and all the tooling from the four vehicles brands we built removed. It’s a big project and it’s gonna take time. They’ve already started doing work in there but the major work doesn’t start till after we leave on April 26th. As for the lower demand, I totally agree and hope that the vehicles don’t bomb.
  4. Take a careful look at the Evos, it looks very much like an ICE MACH-E. You may disagree with me but it does look like the Mach-E. It would’ve been nice if Ford had put Hybrids in the Edge/Nautilus years ago not wait til they discontinue them in N/A them import the Nautilus.
  5. We get unemployment from government and we get supplemental unemployment benefit from ford. It will be the equivalent of 70 percent of regular wage.
  6. I hate the fact that this company just killed off the edge the way they did. Makes me sick.
  7. I do agree the plan just doesn’t sound great and she also spoke about reducing Lincoln dealers.
  8. I was listening to the Lincoln boss on a podcast last night and she seems excited about this 4 vehicle strategy. She spoke about the Nautilus and how we have some Aviator news coming soon and an all new Navigator. It was an podcast from Automotive News.
  9. You would think they would have something to show the public by now but it’s under this big shroud of secrecy. It’s been like 5-6 years since these products have been announced and nada!
  10. We have ppl at work who transferred from Windsor at our plant when their plants closed in the early 2000s and a lot of them say the exact same thing.
  11. Ford seems quite content to export from China it seems. For some reason I can’t see them doing that although it makes sense.
  12. A lot of people just don’t know that it was never ever made in the US. The new one is a great product, I would of preferred it to be built on this side of the world but business is business.
  13. Lol isn’t that the truth, especially being a Canadian operation.
  14. What is the Job one date for the Lincoln version? I’m hearing late 2025.
  15. Thanks for the info cause some of the rumours in here are wild. Some people think the retool will be 18-24 months. That’s far fetched to me. I believe your info as being accurate. I can’t help but feel this is gonna be a low volume seller.
  16. I told you guys this a couple of weeks ago. I guess because I didn’t make it a post it went unnoticed. Lots of contractors in here. Information is still rather sparse. Job posting info and retooling timeline still not set in stone. I believe majority of workforce will not return until early 25. Leaders and absentee allowances and maintenance people will be here earlier before retool complete.
  17. I didn’t see this message, you’re welcome and much appreciated!
  18. For all the cameras that they have up in the security tower this shouldn’t happen. We were laid off for two weeks when this occurred. Security is obviously lax or they were in on it!
  19. There’s that COMMODITY talk again from Farley! I hope these passion and work products live up to the hype!
  20. Lol good riddance to the Chevy forsure! So how do the edge and mach e compare. Farley says the Mach e is way better than the commoditized Edge as he calls it. Do you agree that the Mach e is way better?
