  1. In January 2016, I ordered a 2016 F150 Limited 4x4 and waited for 5 1/2 months for it to arrive here in Honolulu. I had been given some run around about the delivery of the truck and when it would be available for pickup. This evening at 5:17pm here in Honolulu, I picked up the keys for the truck I had been waiting so long for. When I turned it on, the truck already had 8 Engine Hours, 4 Idle Hours and 61 miles on it !!! SERIOUSLY!!! I was told that the truck was offloaded from the ship this morning and they detailed it, prepared it, inspected it and had it ready for pick up this evening for me. But the truck was dirty (not detailed inside or out) and had 61 miles on it! WTF?!?!?!!!! I went into the dealership, Honolulu Ford, on Saturday May 21st and filled out all of the paperwork, received the temporary registration, signed the contract, wrote the check for the truck and had everything but the keys in hand (which they said would be available after the truck was offloaded from the ship on Monday and prepared on Tuesday). I want to take the truck back to the dealership and have them order another truck and return this one. This was such a disappointment for a vehicle which I ordered in January to have the dealership taking it out for joy rides, and who knows what else, before delivering it to me. Any suggestions? Anything that I can do about this? I paid cash for the truck so taking it back doesn't involve a bank. The Odometer Statement" was falsified as well (stating 15 miles-which was still higher than normal) but it was 61 miles! Can a dealership write a contract and provide a false odometer statement and temporary registration on a vehicle that hasn't been "offloaded" from the ship yet? Are they able to drive custom ordered vehicles around prior to delivering them to the customer who ordered it? ***********************************UPDATE********************************** Not to be one to complain and not discuss a resolution: I went to the dealership and discussed this with them and they said that the truck had, in fact, been driven as part of the QC process and that they assured me that their "sold" vehicles are very closely monitored to ensure things like joy rides don't happen. They also apologized for the condition of the truck and noted a water main break which had happened earlier and shut down their water for hours (this happens ALL of the time in Hawaii). We scheduled a proper detailing and settled that matter as well. They apologized for not communicating more effectively and said that they see it all of the time. However, in Hawaii, when the entire island is less than 60 mi wide, they realized that it gets people's attention. So, as of now, the situation has been resolved. Thank you for your input and help!

But the truck was dirty and had 61 miles on it! WTF?!?!?!!!! I have bough MANY new vehicles and my last F150 (purchased in July 2015) only had 2 miles on it when I purchased it. I want to take the truck back to the dealership and have them order another truck and return this one. This was such a disappointment for a vehicle which I ordered in January to have the dealership taking it out for joy rides, and who knows what else, before delivering it to me. Any suggestions? They confirmed that the truck had been QC'd and driven 50 miles as part of the QC process. They could not produce the sticker, but I took them at their word. They also apologized for the condition of the truck, not being cleaned properly, but noted that there was a water main break nearby which shut down their water for a few hours (happens ALL of the time in Hawaii). We have scheduled a proper detailing and they have gone out of their way to make things right and apologized for not communicating very well. All has been settled.
  3. I have an update... The COTUS site had been working like a charm and was sort of hit or miss in regards to asking for passwords. However, comma, pause for effect.....COTUS showed my vehicle being delivered on May 12th for more than 40 days (I live in Hawaii...hence the long lead time). When checking in with my dealer yesterday, they said that they have no visibility of my truck ever making to CA or onto a ship for delivery. They have the VIN and said that although the COTUS site showed solid tracking and delivery info, they could not verify any of it. When pressing them for any information, they said that they will "look into it" but not to expect the truck to be delivered next week. One question for anyone that might know the answer: Is there any system, tracking or otherwise, which Ford has which can show the "last known" location of my vehicle when/where the VIN was scanned during the shipping/transport process? There must be a way that they know which of their vehicles is where. VIN #: 1FTEW1EG6GFB27133. Any help would be sincerely appreciated!
  4. The search site (cotus) has stopped working and has been asking for passwords for a few days now. I guess that they figured out that the peasants were getting too much information and needed to control it. Reminds me of the protestant reformation..... maybe one day they will consolidate their data into a single accessible page wherein custom ordering clients can have visibility of their product. Since LEAN/Six Sigma, TOC and similar manufacturing methodologies seem to be important to them, it would only make sense to do this as it would reduce wastes (time, travel, etc...) for their paid work force and allow us to do our own research. The data already exists and is available so the cost would be minimal to create a special login and password wherein clients could plug in their order number or VIN and do their own tracking. We can hope.
  5. It was my pleasure....maybe not all of the time, but I figured that someone has to be willing to pull the trigger so that we can all enjoy our freedom. When our citizens are no longer willing to stand up and fight, we will no longer have a country.
  6. Thank you, again, Pioneer. I thought that this might be a reason for the delay. Everything takes longer to get here.
  7. Thank you very much Pioneer. I spoke with my dealership this morning and they seemed surprised at the update. They thought it was still in production. They said they would contact the zone rep, but we'll see. I wonder if the reason for the long hold is that it is coming to Hawaii and they are waiting for a full shipment to launch since it all has to come over on boat.
  8. Thank you very much! The vin# is: 1FTEW1EG6GFB27133. Window sticker attached. windowsticker.pdf
  9. I think that if you work hard, and earn your money in a legitimate, honest and clean way, then you can support a brand and purchase a vehicle which you genuinely enjoy...even if it is $62k. I own my 2015 Lariat (purchased in July) outright and will be selling it in order to upgrade to the Limited. My back was blown out in Afghanistan and the massaging seats area something that I am really looking forward to. I spent 24 years in the Marine Corps, deployed to Desert Shield/Storm, Somalia, Liberia, Iraq, Afghanistan and Kosovo....lost part of a few of my organs, lost use of my left hand and wanted to treat myself to an exceptional vehicle by an exceptional brand.
  10. One quantum leap into the 21st century that Ford could make would be to allow Ford clients, whom place orders for new custom vehicles, to receive a "common" login and password to track the build and shipment of their vehicle. This would provide innumerable values added to clients, dealerships and customer service centers. It would reduce the number of contacts between the clients and dealerships which would allow them to spend time selling products and not looking for vehicles. It would be simple to create a "common" login credential for each dealership, which they could provide their vehicle ordering clients that would provide them access to track their vehicle through out the entire build and shipping process. This would allow clients to arrange financing, gather cash reserves or prepare, in real time, for the delivery of their vehicle. Just In Time production, Lean Manufacturing and/or Theory of Constraints should apply to the ordering, tracking and monitoring of vehicle production for the clients which order vehicles.
  11. I have been contacting my dealership about an F150 Limited which was ordered in Jan (vin provided on Feb 16) but they have said that they don't have any information other than the vin. Does anyone know how long it takes to build and ship?
  12. I have been trying to order a Rousch intake for my F150 Limited (not sure when it will be delivered) but the website will not allow shipping to Hawaii. Do I need to call them directly to have them ship it here?
