I’ve heard of people getting early retirement packages. After how many years does that usually occur? I’m at 21 years and debating whether it’s worth staying until 30 years for health care benefits Also are those retiree health care benefits only applicable for retirement age (Ie 55) until you turn 65 and get Medicare?

Does anyone know if there is any reason to choose a particular month or number of years before retiring early (essentially quitting as I’m not retirement age)? For example would it make a big difference if you chose after an anniversary? This is for those choosing to retire before 30 years anniversary (so not eligible for full retiree benefits) I know I can get a lump sum if I leave early, invest it on my own and put a family member down as a beneficiary. If I stay until 30 years, I can’t lists. Beneficiary until I retire

Curious what people have heard about the new Ford F-150 Hybrid. Has this powertrain been used on other programs? Will hybrid only be available for first year?

However I am a little below the midpoint of the range, as of this year. I’ve discussed it with my supervisor, and he tried to get me an adjustment this year and it got me a little closer to the midpoint. I don’t recall when I became GSR8 but i would guess it was about 10-11 years ago. Sounds like I need to have another discussion with my supervisor. Thanks for your help

I started with Ford over 20 years ago. I’m a GSR8 and I am wondering whether I am being fairly compensated. Any suggestions on a website to get a fair estimate? HR online site shows a large range

Thank you @paintguy and @Decker thats really helpful I am salary and started at Ford in 2000 and that’s when I started GRP also. How did you calculate the 25 percent? From doing projections and then taking a percent base on separation date vs full retirement date? For those not planning to stay 30 years (or don’t get an offer) seems the health benefit is not available, correct? seems like the FRP (That became available for those hired after 2004) is actually a better benefit, unless I’m missing something? I don’t fully understand how much ford pays into our pension but understand that we can’t access it until we’re retirement age. I assume if I leave in my 40s, I’d be eligible at 55?

I have been with Ford over twenty years and am in my 40s. I see the recent VIP offers are for those of retirement age. I’m wondering at what age and years of service are people typically offered a package to leave early? . Also what are the major milestones for a pension? Are there bend points like with SS?
