  1. That was a great idea and I looked into that option. I have an earlier Fusion Sport and the microphone for sync and bluetooth is mounted in my mirror. Later in production they moved the mic to the headliner.
  2. Homelink is now available on the 2011 Fusions. has anybody priced it out and does anyone know if the fabric matches the 2010? I really miss this option and I guess if I have to I'll order both the right and left visor if they don't match my 2010. I keep forgetting to call during the day and only remember it when I get home and have to use two remotes to get into my buildings garage. Thanks in advance.
  3. I have enjoyed my 2010 Sport for about 10 months now and have about 10k on the clock. As far as styling, options, performance, gas mileage and enjoyment of driving in the city and on the road I absolutely love the car. But I have a couple of issues I'd like some input that maybe others might have experienced these as well. Early on I worked at the dealer level and know just enough to make me dangerous. I know Tech flat rates have changed and techs are not paid like they once were to diagnosis drive line, suspension and drive ability issues. So being told by a Service writer that this is normal has become the norm. Here we go: 1. Front Tire Ware: I have about 10K on the vehicle and both front tires have worn down the tread on the outside, Although this was corrected at 6k with an alignment they continue to ware. During a recent Oil change the tech listed the front as worn 7/32 the rear 9/32. I do not have any vibration and even though the GoodYears are noisy its not bad. The fronts just looks awful. And continue to ware on the edge. I've increase the pressure to 35 don't corner hard. My service writer stated I should ask Ford for assistance in replacing the fronts. This is in the works but will they continue to ware ? Had I rotated them I would be replacing four instead of just two at this point. 2. Noise in the front end: My parents have a gravel drive, Every time I go to their house there is a distinct rattle and creaking in the front suspension and it is getting to me. This weekend there is also a now noticeable high pitched squeak. Sounds also like something is rubbing against the firewall. Could this be linked to the tire ware? Also hear some of this on speed bumps. Or if the car is turned to the left and under stress like on a hill. On a long test drive i could not duplicate all these noises (could not find a gravel road) but the ones that did the tech said it was normal for front wheel drive. 3. Engine: Every fourth or fifth time I start the engine it feels as if it is miss firing. More pronounced when the motor is hot. Most of the time I turn the key and it is smooth as silk. But on the fourth and fifth try it sounds like it is misfiring and sometime I hear something rubbing against the firewall. All this has been addressed with my dealer but I taking it back and waging war if I have to. These issues should not be there and should be corrected. I have been told to many times this is normal. And I know its not. Has anyone else has experienced these issues. I realize some of this may be my dealer as well. Should I take it to another dealer or is this just normal as I have been told and just live with it. Thanks for you input. Lincolnman
  4. Ford is planning a new Fusion that will be built on the European Mondero platform. At that time a new HO V6 will also be introduced on the Sport or the rumored GT version. Similar to the Taurus SHO engine in either 2012 or 13. The current configuration is just not set up to handle more horsepower or torque.
  5. Congrats on your new Sport. I have a question. I went on the Ford Web site and pulled up pictures of the 2011 Sport and noticed it seemed to have a blacked out or more of a Charcoal grill. The panel around the third brake light and the trim around the fogs as well seemed to be blacked out. On my 2010 all these are Chrome. It really stands out on a white car. Was this a Job change for 2011 or just the web site? Thanks
  6. I miss all the Cobra guys. I only had several GT"s over the years, and never made it to the Cobra level. What was the name of the girl with the Cobra vert that also had a career as a professional singer. She had her own web site . I've lost touch with so many people. Tony you may remember who she is.
  7. Guys Please, akirby I think you did miss his point. I am one of the original BON Member since the forum started. I have no where the number of post that you do and you have only been a member since 2006. With that said, You might come across as a "Know it all" and add rude to that. Many people may be offended. 2600+ Post Really !l To set the record straight I don't as a rule always read my manuals. I have way to much going on during the day and many times ask a question you feel could be answered by reading the manual. These questions only come to mind when I reading this board. Sorry If some of us don't meet you expectations. Many of us have lives that consume our time away from this board. I'm sure that since you are such an authority on the BON Boards that you certainly can not be on everything. I wonder how many questions you might have ask that you could have read the manual. 8. I'm Glad someone else is looking for the Premium mats. The supplier that ford uses went of of business. I have ordered two sets to replace the standard mats in my Sport. The quality is much better than the standard. The color is correct. But there is one flaw. "Fusion" is stitched only on the Drivers mat. Doesn't make sense. Looks funny. I ordered a third from Lombardi Ford online and was told when they came in the Fusion was only on one mat. So they sent them back. I have the Black interior and I swear the factory mat is Charcoal. If anyone knows where to get the "FORD" mats with Fusion on both mats let me know. FYI the picture you see on the Ford/Fusion Website showing the mats was done before the supplier when out of business. No one I've talked with knows why only one mat has Fusion on it.
  9. akirby, They were Courtsey in Decatur and World (Snellviile L/M) in Snellville. I am more surprised with Courtsey. They used to to be Southern LM. I purchase several L/M from them over the years. Courtsey was also located in "Automobile Row" in Decatur and was a fairley new building. You could eat off the service department floor.
  10. Recently two Lincoln Dealerships in the Atlanta area have closed and merged with Ford Dealers. One of the Lincoln Dealerships has been in the same location for about 30 years and was rebuilt several years ago. Is this the future for LM?
