  1. Ok, so I have a 1999 f350 v10. I keep popping the brake light fuse but it only pops with the key on engine running. It will not pop any other time. I have also popped the blinker/hazard fuse a couple times but that is rare. I have noticed that when ideling in park applying the brake the ideal will drop and then the fuse pops. Ideling with the blinker on the ideal is up and down with the blinker flash. All this happens even with the tail lights completely UN plugged and removed. I had a flaky vss at the dif that started at the same time but since replaced and no longer an issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone, 421stang
  2. Ok so I need some help with my v10 projects. There is so much information available for the modular engine family until it comes to the 6.8 v10. I know it hasnt been a very popular engine for hot rod of performance builds and thats kinda the reason I am so interested in using it in a couple projects. I have 2 builds in the works. First is a build for my 1999 f350 and the second is a build for my 1954 mainline. The questions I have are are probably pretty simple. To start are there any books out there that focus on building the v10? What should the deck clearance be? What are the specs on the trust bearing(is it 4-5-or 6pc)? And the biggest question regards camshafts. Is there anyone making aftermarket camshafts? Can stock cams be re-ground? Is there anywhere to get unfinished cams? Even basic information like horse power, torque, and compression ratings are hard to pin down. The information I find online is all conflicting. Any help would be great.
