Somebody said changing tranceiver had to be reprogramed ? Swap a part is ok ??

Doing some more digging. The moates ?? Tuner company or one that does the same thing. Can adjust the *whatever* and turn it off. But they charge 400$ the tune. The disable of pats is just an added bonus. LoL ... how much $$ do i put into a car this old with 150k plus miles. I am currently not a fan of pats

This might look rough im on my phone. 2001 gran marquis. Lost my only key. Locksmith came out, cut me 2 keys, programmed them, 285$. 2 months or so later key stops work everytime. i just used my other key. Now both keys are not working most of the time. Thinking maybe the chips arent real good in locksmith keys ... Order 1 off ebay and have it cut. I get LUCKY and both keys work and my car programs the ebay key. Good for 3 days .... Now no keys work 9 outta 10 times. Here is where im at. I own the car. Im in almost crime free town (i know this because all my friends are cops and i was one too) so im not worried about anybody stealing my car. Last 2 days ive wiggled a black wire that attaches to a brown clip that sits on the top but towrds the driver on top of the ignition. Both times after i wiggled it the next time i tried to start it it worked. Can i turn this dang pats thing off ? Can i do anything else to make this situation any better ? I actually drive my car making deliveries and dont want to be stranded some night ?!?? Im about at the end of my rope here with this. Already behind on child support n they are about to suspend my license. I have no money to goto the dealer. Help please.
