  1. the video basically echos what everyone else has said about the ranger. Just posting it because I think the black lariat with sport appearance and fx4 packages looks really sharp.
  2. Forgot about cooled seats. I can’t wait for those to be as common as heated seats. A few other manufacturers off them on their lower trim vehicles but ford seems only interested in offering it on its most expensive options. I’ve never had a need for heated seats, but I’d probably use the cooled seats 7 months out of the year.
  3. My perfect ranger would be a mix of all 3 trims. Give me the vinyl floors of the xl, the grille, wheels and cloth seats from the xlt sport appearance package, and the headlights from the lariat, maybe the speakers too.
  4. Fuzzy, are the xl and xlt interiors basically the same?
  5. My fusion se interior has been pretty nice. I’d guess it’s the same as the upper trims minus the leather. I was expecting it would be the same here. Obviously if you are getting an xl, you’d expect that to be pretty cheap on the inside, however anything xlt and above should be fairly nice. If they can do it on sedans that they were losing money on, why can’t they do it on trucks which should give them a decent profit?
  6. I’d definitely consider a new sport trac. I’m not hauling plywood sheets over here so I don’t need a big bed. I just occasionally might move a few boxes, a lawn mower, etc and a small bed works great for that. It also makes the truck shorter so it has a better chance of fitting in my garage. If it had a nicer interior and better ride while getting better mpg, and maybe a few extra inches of legroom, i think it might do pretty well.
  7. Everything I’ve read is saying it’s based off of the Tucson which seems smaller then the ridge line to me, but those same articles do compare it to the ridgeline as well. I thought the ridgeline would be more compareable to the Santa Fe in size but I could be wrong.
  8. I believe the Hyundai Santa Cruz truck will also be this size. It will be based off of the Tucson and will probably come out around the same time. I liked the concept for that truck, but I haven’t seen any mules or spy shots of the production version to see if its staying true to the concept or not. I’m curious to see how these two compact trucks with stack up against each other.
  9. looks like the explorer stole its grill from vw
  10. What’s uncomfortable about it? I’m roughly your size and have found my dads explorer platinum quite comfortable, however I’m not sitting in it for an 8 hr shift everyday with gear on either. I’d imagine my back would hurt after sitting in any vehicle that long lol
  11. Watered down on options is one thing, but he’s referring to how it looks. I’m sure it cost the same to make the edge look like that compared to what we got here. Keep all the options the exact same and just give me the looks of the China version
  12. I actually like the wheels on the ST, and the profile pic really shows off the explorers shape which looks pretty good. That front end though..
  13. Except this is the platinum. You can see the platinum badge on the rear of the car.
  14. I like the interior, but it doesn’t seem like this is a luxury interior. This looks at home on an xlt. Maybe it’s because this style of interior seems to be popular on every compact car out there now but it just doesn’t seem that luxurious. Not to mention that the screen looks tiny being sandwiched between the air vents.
  15. https://www.autoblog.com/2018/12/04/2020-ford-explorer-interior-photos/ interior looks pretty good to me. Also, the pic of the exterior looks better then the previous one we had seen. It appears that this is the platinum model. Also notice it has a digital gauge cluster.
  16. The Chevy looks tall and narrow. The ford looks normal.
  17. The grille doesn’t look terrible in the front 3/4 angle pic, but in the straight on front pic it looks horrid.
  18. best excuse to never have to drive people around is having a single cab truck!
  19. Maybe the market just shifted to off-road performance trucks instead. I’ve wondered this myself but it seems all the sport trucks disappeared around the same time. I still think the f150 tremor they came out with a few years ago was pretty sweet but I don’t think it sold very well. could also be due to the fact that all the sport trucks were single cab and now no one drives single cab anymore.
  20. Thunder would be a cool name for an f250 raptor type truck, and then of course bring back the lightning
  21. Is the design even finalized on the bronco? All we have seen is a pic of a vehicle with a sheet on it. It’s possible that there wasn’t even a real vehicle under that sheet. Although we also had a sheet pic of the maverick and then the actual pics leaked. Maybe that means that an actual bronco has been built and they are trying to keep it hidden for as long as possible.
  22. It’s a shame it’s not based off of the maverick. It’s front end and grill design seemed like a good fit for a smaller truck.
  23. Maybe it’s just an optical illusion due to the extra space behind the rear doors. The proportions just don’t look right to me. The gladiator is more then 7 inches longer than the ranger, which I found surprising.
