Offical 2019 Ranger thread
T-dubz replied to silvrsvt's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
Was it the same two they had at naias or did they have another one? Id love to see some more real life pics of it in different models/colors -
Looks like the tailgate lost the RANGER on the bottom. Wish that would carry over to the regular one. Also seems strange that the dash lost the little storage compartment on the top. I guess they dont want you putting things on the dash while your jumping sand dunes or what not. The IP looks like its also the one from the escape instead of the edge. Maybe they did this for the tach? Some of the switch gear is slightly different but it looks in line with what the ROW ranger already had. The center console arm rest is also different.

Turns off might have been a bad choice of words. The air is still blowing from the AC, its just not as cold. -

Cant tell much from the pic but the profile looks nice. Almost a Mazda CX-5 vibe to it. -
Mach 1 - High Performance BEV SUV - NAIAS 2018

We have it and its annoying. When the engine stops, the AC stops and the cabin air circulation button turns off. Its annoying when sitting in traffic in 100 degree weather and your AC stops, or you are sitting behind a diesel with all of the exhaust fumes coming through the vents. Would it stop me from buying a vehicle though? No. If it was optional, would I get it? No. -
Mach 1 - High Performance BEV SUV - NAIAS 2018

I always liked the lincoln navicross concept from 2003. It was basically a sedan with the ride height of an suv. Itd be cool if it turned out like that. -

I know many on here arent fans of the Everest but i think it looks better than any other suv/cuv ford offers right now.if the bronco ends up being too expensive, the Everest would be my second choice.is there any chance it comes to the USA? -
I checked out the 2018 ranger brochure from New Zealand and you are right, I didnt see a moonroof, heated steering wheel or memory anything. It did have dual climate control and heated seats(not cooled). I would think we would get what the 2018 has available interior wise since they are identical but I could be wrong. I think the 2019 lariat had a leather dash. If you look at the pics, you can see the contrast stitching on it.

the regular cab f150 is 209 inches so its roughly the length of the supercrew ranger. -

I think the super crew ranger is 211 which probably makes it borderline to fit in most peoples garage. It will fit in mine, but just barely. -

Autoblog has some new pics of an xlt supercab with chrome package. Looks pretty good in the magnetic color. https://www.autoblog.com/2018/01/16/2019-ford-ranger-vs-tacoma-colorado-frontier/ -

Its been probably 15 years since Ive owned a vehicle with a hand brake, and even then it was only on manuals. I didnt even know ford made vehicles with it anymore besides the mustang. -

Wonder why they went with a parking brake in the center console instead of a pedal or better yet, an electric brake? Putting it there causes the whole center console to have a strange design. -

Is the man in this pic a giant? Seems like the front of the ranger is really low if the hood is at this guys hip. Maybe its just the angle of the photo. -
I guess I was holding out hope for a concept bronco at one of the other shows lol

So weve seen the edge, ranger, and Bullitt from naias and the nautalius and mkc a few weeks ago. What if anything is left for Chicago and New York?

Is there supposed to be a complete redesign of the global ranger in a few years? Thought I had read that somewhere. I like this truck, but Ive already been waiting years for it to come out. I think I could wait a few more for a complete redesign. -

Anyone seen a pic of a non 4x4? Seems like all the promotional pics are 4x4. Im wondering if the stance/ride height will be the same on 4x2 and 4x4. -

I have a feeling they use a light color headliner to make the interior feel larger. While using a beige one is dumb with black, I thought it looked slightly more gray which isnt that bad. -

It looks good. I think the seperate bumper really helps the scale of the grille. It looks like it fits now where as on the blue ranger we saw it looked too small and dainty. I think the darker treatment on the trim also helps. Wish they would have changed the tailgate but at least the word ranger is the same color as the truck which helps it blend in a bit. I like that they are using the instrument panel that the fusion and edge use. I use those 2 little lcd screens all the time and I prefer it much more to what my escape or f150 has. I think I like the xlt grille the best. Wonder what the fx2 will look like? -
2019 Ford Edge Discussion (merged posts)
T-dubz replied to rmc523's topic in Ford Motor Company Discussion Forum
It looks more like the GMC Terrain then the traverse to me. Its definitely better than the current edge. Not a fan of the black plastic below the rear window. Should have just made it body color. All the safety features being standard is great. I was hoping for more interior changes but I guess that was expecting a little too much for a refresh. Anyone know when we can expect a new design for interiors on ford vehicles? This style seems to have been around forever.
