  1. I broke 100 once in my 1998 ford ranger extended cab....going down hill and around a curve lol.
  2. Over the life of my fusion, Im getting 23.9 mpg with the 1.6L ecoboost. Thats pretty bad when the competition is getting around 30. My 2.0L ecoboost escape titanium is even worse. Its getting around 20 mpg.
  3. It looks good from that angle, but the profile seems a bit weird. Speaking of the probe, I read somewhere that the next gen probe actually turned into the cougar to get younger buyers to mercury. I remember liking the probe gt in high school and the new cougar. Heres the mc2 concept for that cougar. This 1963 cougar II concept was pretty cool too
  4. True. Lucky for me, I know the finance guy and Im A plan, so I just skip the salesman altogether.
  5. Ive never met a salesman who knew more about the car then I did. They can point me in the direction of the cars but Im better off not asking any questions because they dont know or just make stuff up most of the time.
  6. Are the escape and maverick basically the same size catering to different markets or is the maverick smaller?
  7. And I assume that is model year 2023 which would put it out in 2022. I always planned to skip the first model year ranger so all the kinks can get worked out, so waiting two more years for a vehicle that I will keep for probably 10 yrs doesnt seem so long.
  8. Im pretty interested in it too, the only thing holding me back is that the all new model is coming out in 2023. I wonder if the styling of that one would be an evolution like the new explorer or something different. Also with the bronco, baby bronco, and escape all coming out soon, its kinda hard to commit to the ranger without at least seeing the others first.
  9. When we did all the data analytics, it became really clear, a loyal owner is so much easier for us to do business with than trying to get a customer from someone else," Farley said. "It was a big 'aha' moment for us." I cant believe he said this. Investors must be super excited. Lets forget about all the potential customers that we could get and growing market share and focus only the ones that are already loyal because its easier. The only good thing about that article is the pic of the ranger. It looks pretty good in that blue color.
  10. The bolt is a good car with good range, but its boring to look at and its a chevy. Its not the status symbol that a Tesla is, and it doesnt sell anywhere close to Tesla. Ford better get this right or the Mach 1 will be the Microsoft zune compared to Tesla as the iPod. It sounds like they are going the opposite path of the bolt which is A good thing
  11. Look at the Kia stinger, great reviews, 4 doors, goes fast, is expensive compared to regular sedans, and is probably a great car, but the market for that type of vehicle is small so sales will be low. Assimilator is probably right though so it doesnt matter
  12. Its not just the fusion, look at the new edge and only the titanium and st have an option for it, being part of a $4k package. Id imagine its not a popular option or its expensive and ford thinks buyers wont shell out the money for it on lower level trims. I think thats a good call. Ive had my fusion since 2013 and not once have I had to parallel park.
  13. Why would a ford try to compete with an Audi or Porsche? Unless its a lincoln, this doesnt make any sense. Also why come out and say you arent going to make cars anymore and then you come out with a new car?
  14. I think it looks good, except for the grill area. Maybe seeing it in person will change my mind, just not a huge fan of no grill openings. Why would it have a mustang logo on it? Are they planning on making mustang its own brand?
  15. Commercials arent bad, slogan is still dumb. They could have achieved the same message using the built ford tough slogan.
  16. Wish theyd sell a version with the raptor body kit or something similar. Maybe just make the fx4 a little more rugged looking.
  17. Gonna need those accessories to make your own raptor, looks like ford said no ranger raptor for the USA, at least for now.
  18. Honestly are slogans even needed? I dont think I could name a slogan from Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, or any other manufacturer. Maybe its because I dont watch commercials anymore. built ford tough was a good one though, it conveyed the message that the vehicles were tough. Ford proud doesnt convey anything. It doesnt separate the product from the others.
  19. The grille is ok. If they would make it the magnetic color of the grille on the ranger sport appearance package, I think itd look better. I dislike the fake chrome on any vehicle though and always get the sport package to get it as monocromatic as possible.
  20. An ST Line version would be nice. I dont need the extra performance, just give me the looks. And dont make it like the 2018 sport appearance package. The exterior was nice but the brown and black seats with the grey headliner completely ruined that entire package.
