I think I’d prefer a bronco truck over a bronco, just hope the back of the cab on the production version doesn’t have that angle like in the drawing.

I like the trail boss trim, probably because the front is black and hides most of what’s going on up there. The rest are pretty bad.

Notice how the bulging wheel arches are gone,
kind of suggesting that he body and interior space
have been reworked to make Ranger a touch roomier.

pics out testing. Shape looks very similar to the current model. Headlights look like the ones on the maverick leak. I really like the stance it has. Lots of ground clearance.

I’ve heard several people say they are or have already taken their Area 51 bronco sports to Area 51 for pics. Those soldiers guarding the place are gonna hate Broncos here pretty soon 😆

Does anyone know when we might expect to see some more info on the new ranger? My bronco builds are getting expensive and I would still have to make lots of compromises. The ranger would actually be a more useful vehicle and I can still do any of the off road activities I would need to in it, all with a lower price and more features/options.

The extended wheelbase is called MAX and the short wheelbase is regular. That would be a ton of cargo room if it was the MAX with only 5 seats though.

I think those are the kuga st line wheels. They look to be an improvement over all the wheels offered on the current escape, including the titanium or sel. I’m not sure how black front and rear bumpers will look. Surely the whole bumpers won’t be black as that would look pretty dumb. Hopefully its just some nice trim pieces. the grille sounds like a version on the kuga as well. That grille is the exact opposite of sporty. Hopefully it’s not just a black version of that.

They already have the perfect sport appearance package, I’m not sure why they don’t just use this. The grille looks better and the area around the fog lights is a vast improvement.

Yep, all personal opinion there. I think the crv looks like a mini van interior but it has really good materials. Everything was soft touch. The crv, cx5 and equinox are also fairly old vehicles now, yet they still stack up well against the brand new escape. Think of what the difference will be when they get new interiors.

The industry is heading towards giant screens in all vehicles now, I think ford should take this opportunity to be a leader in the segment and put the Mach e’s screen in the escape. I think that would drastically change people’s perception of the interior. Then all you need to do is change the front clip and you have a vehicle that’s at the top of its class. Using some of the Mach e’s visual tricks to make it more coupe like would help too.

Here is some of the competitions interiors:
    Nissan Rogue

    Hyundai Tuscon

    honda crv

    Toyota rav4

    chevrolet equinox

    mazda cx5

    Bronco sport

    ford escape

The escape is one of the newer designs here but it already looks old to me. The only interior that is worse is the equinox. The screen on the rav4 looks cheap, but otherwise I like it’s rugged looking design. If Toyota fixed the screen with its giant bezel it would be a lot better but for now it’s only slightly better than the escape. The layout of the Honda isn’t exciting at all, but the materials are much better than the escapes, which give it a more premium feel. The Mazda has a very similar design to the escape but they managed to make an interior that virtually everyone praises. If mazda adds a bigger screen and digital dash, it will be close to the top for me. I like the design of the Tucson’s interior. I’m not sure how well it will work with all of those touch buttons though. The rogues interior surprised me. I think it’s the best looking of the bunch. I don’t really care for the bronco sports interior either.

bronco sport is the best looking of the bunch on the exterior. 2 through 4 could really be switched in any order depending on trim. The rav4 trd off road and xse hybrid trims look really good, but the lower trims are kinda boring. The rogue looks good in pictures and has the boxier shape I like, but I’m not a fan of nissans design language so I’d have to see that new front in person. Crv is the appliance you’d expect it to be and puts it in the middle of the pack. If the Tuscon toned down all the edges, it would look a lot better. Like the crv, the escape has appliance looks. There’s nothing offensive about it, but there’s nothing that makes me want to buy it either. It also looks like it’s smiling which I don’t care for and it’s a bit dated on the exterior since it’s using design elements that have been around since 2013 on other ford’s. The equinox is just garbage all around.

Subaru is a niche market and I’m not 100% convinced that Fords strengths would allow it to play to win in this market. This isn’t the Bronco or Bronco Sport going against Jeep or Ford introducing the Maverick in the compact truck market.

This has to be one of the worst design treatments, Explorer or otherwise, that I've ever seen Ford do. Forget the so-called performance related changes, it just looks plain, bland and C-H-E-A-P.

White looks good, especially on vehicles that have black trim instead of chrome. Mach e and bronco sport are some examples. They have that storm trooper look which is kinda cool.

Checked out the bronco sport today and it seemed pretty nice. I didn’t like the cactus gray, it had too much green in it. Area 51 looked good on an overcast day but I’d like to see it in the sun. The big bend had the optional wheels which looked good. The seats looked better than the escape, but it still had the escapes cheap looking gauge cluster. The hard plastics had a nice texture to them. The badlands was better. It actually had different seats with more bolsters. It felt a lot more comfortable. The leather seats from the badlands package look better in person. In pictures I always thought it was too light, but it was darker in person. The seating position felt lower than my escape. Couldn’t drive any of them as they were in the show room. The badlands had the optional wheels. I don’t like the steelies look, but they looked better in person too. The more aggressive tires looked good on it and was really the only difference I could tell between the big bend and badlands. They seemed about the same height.
