  1. Because Sport is the only model Ford didn't mess with for 2019. It would lose it too IF Ford bothers to mess with it prior to discontinuation in 2021.
  2. My understanding is that there is no "Park Assist" functionality at all in the 2019s.
  3. Thanks for the link. But the Fusion Energi forum has zero entries. Many threads in other sections haven't had posts in years.
  4. Surprised at the lack of activity in these forums... Summary: Ordered a 2018 Fusion Energi in early May. Dealer had used up their allocation and did not disclose that. Ford dealer rep was supposed to get it made, no idea if he tried, appears he maybe checked other dealers on order vehicles to trade. No way he was going to find one. By the time they fessed up, not many 2018s around that matched my specs. They ordered a 2019, then provided misleading info about when it would be made, also placed a dealer order thinking it would be made first. Then Ford cancelled all dealer orders (I read here) and made them reorder. My order slated for Sept 10th production and delivery in early October, dealer order a month later. Total disregard that I am waiting now 4+ months and 2019 rebates awful as compared with $11,007 2018 rebates if leased. Dealer rep made repeated promises and never followed through. Dealer claimed to be checking their trade area for matches. Last week I found perfect match, asked dealer to get it, they responded it was held for a customer. Days later still showing on Cars.com and dealer site. I emailed that dealer, said available for sale, asked if he would do dealer trade. He agreed a day later because he said he could not do out of state lease (wrong). Told my dealer to get it and expect delivery in a few days. Disappointed with dealer, who I was moving my business to from another after my longtime salesperson retired and didn't like the vibe there. Dealt with dealer GM at new dealership, he has work to do after failing miserably here. Looking for a Fusion Energi forum to learn tips and tricks. F150forum is great for my truck.
  5. Any insight on how the 2019 production is going? Our 2019 Fusion Energi is slated to be built on 9/10 and shipped "expedited". It is now showing in Cotus with that info also. Are we past the "hold dealer orders for quality check" period? Any insight is appreciated. Today the 2019 incentives started to appear, so we're not as bad off (losing the 2018 they never made) as we had feared.
  6. Never got any response. COTUS now shows status.
  7. Ordered a 2018 in May but Ford chose not to make it. 2019 retail order, #xxxx. Dealer ordered a matching order, #xxxx. Both placed in last two weeks of June. Learned that dealer order will be made sooner than retail order. Got VIN for dealer order, #xxxxx. COTUS shows nothing for either. Dealer is Fxxxx. Interested in learning when the dealer order will be made. I understand there will be a QC hold. Thank you.
  8. I surmised that. We were basically mislead and now are hosed. Sold our 2nd vehicle (which this was replacing) within 8 days (having no idea what was going to transpire). Since we ordered before the model year end, we were told we were fine - not... It amazes me that Ford had a valid customer order, which they could have made, and chose not to.
  9. Interesting. We ordered a 2018 Fusion Energi in May. In late June we were told it may not be made, in July we were told it wouldn't be made. We had thought regional rep was finding open order availability elsewhere in the country, and getting that for us, then learned that he was simply trying to find matching order elsewhere (which was unlikely). A 2019 order was put in for us, then the dealer put in a matching dealer order, because they were told that dealer orders were being made first, held, then released when ready to ship, then retail orders would be made. Now this says that all dealer orders are being cancelled and have to be reordered. Our 2018 Energi would have had $11,007 in incentives upon delivery. Zero information on 2019 incentives from dealer or his rep. At this point, available stock elsewhere is very limited, so we're pretty hosed. Very disappointed at how this is transpiring.
  10. Thanks, appreciate the info. I would expect that given the relative minor changes in the Fusion for 2019 that things wouldn't be held up too long, but who knows.
  11. After I posted, my dealer came back with pricing for the 2019, but of course incentives are unknown. Price is lower than what we ordered due to several options now standard, which is what I expected because if they're in every car they should cost less. But 2018 has $10,250 rebate (leasing), so that difference has to be figured out. He has been in touch with his rep, that's where the comment in quotes came from. Was mainly interested in learning when the incentives for the 2019s would be released, and if when a 2019 would be scheduled if ordered now, i.e. "should be made mid-August".
  12. Was wondering if I can get any insight here on my situation. Ordered a 2018 Fusion Energi 2 weeks ago. Currently, being told that it's possible that it won't be made due to "production schedules, allocation and available commodities", and that we might have to get a 2019. I have no problem getting a 2019 instead, but have no idea what the pricing would be (A-Plan), nor the incentives (2018 has $10,250 rebates for leasing). I know that the 2019 will have a $4,600 tax credit instead of $4,007 (which on leasing goes to Ford but incentives should reflect increase). Also, if we're one of the first in line for a 2019, it should get made mid-August and delivered around Labor Day, correct? Any insight much appreciated. I like the idea of getting a newer model year for depreciation, and the larger battery pack, but don't want to have significantly different pricing.
