  1. Seen some posts stating that Avon Lake is losing the $900 million investment awarded at contract, anyone able to confirm? Some info is coming directly from the union.
  2. I think its a good move. They could put it in Cleveland Engine plant 2, its currently sitting empty next to CEP 1. Would be easy to transition work force as ev sales grow.
  3. I suspect in 5 years or so you will see the return of the Fusion/Focus with heavy focus on BEV and maybe a hybrid.
  4. I work at Cleveland Engine 1, and engine plant 2 next door has been sitting there idle since 2012. Hopes were for a battery/ev plant, but it is not happening. My understanding is its being sold. There is capacity around Ford, but the investment must not be worth the return.
  5. I think Ford stock will bounce back, especially if the Broncos and updated F-150 have a successful launch. I still don't like that they dumped cars though, would love to see at least Fusion and Focus return with gas/bev options. Not sold on Ecosport as the entry level vehicle.
  6. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/ford-coo-spends-almost-entire-142943625.html I believe Farley will be appointed CEO by this time next year. Probably will see a stock price bump when that happens. Glad to see him commit his own money to Ford though.
  7. Is it just me or does it seem like every media outlet, whether it be auto reviews or investing seem to be piling on Ford lately. Every article it seems like Ford vehicles are outdated, bad interior, overpriced, and last place reviews. For investing its Ford going under anyway day now and fire Hackett ( that I agree with). Seems like tough times for Ford. Maybe its just me..
  8. Yeah, its not a terrible engine, however for something with the Bronco name I would hope Ford would distinguish it with higher performing engines and performance. I just don't want Ford to play it too conservative even with the smaller Bronco. As for the Auto/Stop start its just an annoyance, it would be easy to add into your Sync system a permanent off instead of a button every time you drive, just a personal gripe though.
  9. Yeah, I am shocked Ford didnt go with 2.0L eb standard and 2.3eb as higher end option. I have a 2018 escape 4x4 with the 1.5l and it kinda sucks. To put this in a "off-road" vehicle is a mistake. Plus I hope they put in a permanent way to disable auto-stop start. Hopefully more information is coming out soon.
  10. Car and Driver just posted this..Pretty sure they are wrong. "We previously thought that the Bronco Sport might arrive before its big sibling, but now that Ford has announced the release date for the real-deal 2020 Bronco as spring 2020, we think that timeline might be reversed. It's now looking like the Bronco Sport will debut a few months after the Bronco, likely going on sale later next year as a 2021 model."
