  1. Hmm not sure, I digested all the info from a few sites last night. Maybe the tfltruck video.
  2. Nope tailgate step lives on. An option. And its improved being longer, closer to ground.
  3. I think gm bumped the 6.6 gas towing specs, due to 10 speed vs former 6. Like 1500lbs on some configurations. Keep in mind it was higher than 7.3 outside of 4.30s before this change. Should be interesting to see how Ford responds. Lots of 'best in class' quotes yesterday.
  4. Observations Killed all fender flares even on the Tremor (like 21+ F150) Is HO diesel only 350+? (Like Ram) What rear end w 6.8L? No more 2wd, so no more 2wd valance I guess. No pics of BAP, or Lariat sport. All black one is stx I believe. Will camera on top of tailgate survive tough environments?
  5. 6.8 will have best in class entry v8 power (autoblog). So min 411 hp, (Ram 410) IF tq too then 465 (gm.464) Awful close to 7.3, no wonder its getting a mind bump.
  6. Interesting on gas side GM gave the 6.6L no bump but did add 10 speed. Less pressure for Ford to bump 7.3L.
  7. Unless... the 6.8 will be in more applications.
  8. Same. Read about the issues. Had none w my 22.
  9. Did they change the safety chain set up @ hitch reliever?
  10. This is my hope. I just went from a F150 3.5 to a a F250 7.3L. Haven't towed yet though. Soon.
  11. Not even 3 years in and 7.3L replaced, but its unfathomable that the 6.8L replaces the 5.0L? High test 6.8L contradicts every feature Ford wanted in the 7.3L
  12. Ah yes. Should have looked more closely thx. Just looked at pic of engine.
  13. Seen that last night. Stupid question, we know that's a 5.2L? Obviously a V8 w SC and intended for Raptor. But we know its a 5.2 based on pic? Based on all the intel I'd be shocked if its not.
  14. I'll defer to the original article: F150 and Mustang. Thats all I got.
  15. This has been hashed out many times over the last 18 months but IMHO replacing the 6.2L doesn't make sense as the 6.8L (based on F150 & Mustang applications) will have an aluminum block which won't work in the SD. And even if they did, specs are so close to a 7.3L why bother? 6.2L was old and already around, price point offering. But were all speculating so I guess we'll find out...
  16. That was my guess a year+ ago. But I think they may have confirmed the 5.0L since.
  17. Great find. Cool. Had been so quiet for so long...
  18. Nice. I think I ordered mine Oct 16. Next week its here. BAP w 5th wheel prep. No AS.
