  1. You guys are too busy talking about mustangs in the Bronco thread to notice this ... . . .
  2. A lot of that has to do with blindspot monitoring and the track being wider than the body. The same is likely true of Bronco, 'cuz that light looks like it stands out from the body, just in a less tacky way.
  3. There are a lot of people claiming to have seen it that think otherwise. Either behind the scenes or at the dealer presentations.
  4. Had to spend all the money upgrading the suspension so there was nothing left in the budget to get a decent vehicle.
  5. All the more reason the BOF Bronco should be offered with SFA. There's already a platform for people who just want the appearance and a comfy ride ... baby/Sport/Maverick/Adventurer/tellusthedamnnamealready.
  6. https://www.thestarinfrisco.com/ Private venue in Dallas. ??? Don't suppose your friend said when it was booked for? eta: more details, apparently Ford already owns/sponsors some space there. It would make sense as an option. Connected to the World Corporate Headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys, Ford Center is comprised of a multi-purpose, 12,000 seat, indoor stadium as well as the entire Dallas Cowboys football operations and practice fields. The indoor stadium at Ford Center provides a state-of-the-art facility shared by the Dallas Cowboys, City of Frisco and Frisco ISD. The longstanding partnership that Ford and North Texas Ford Dealers have enjoyed with high school football and the Dallas Cowboys made Ford Center a seamless fit.
  7. Just can't help yourself can you. I'm starting to think you're infatuated with me or something.
  8. Ford plans Bronco reveal in March; dealers learn details https://www.autonews.com/nada-show/ford-plans-bronco-reveal-march-dealers-learn-details We might not have to wait until midnight of June 21st to find out about Bronco after all.
  9. Thank goodness. Hopefully this one doesn't turn out to be some Rickroll.
  10. Just trying to limit how much retrofitting I'm going to have to do in 3-5 years. An axle swap isn't off the table but it would have been nice if it wasn't necessary in the first place. The alternative might require an engine swap and that isn't very appealing either.
  11. Well, 5 years running so far vehicle hunting, whittling the list down to two imperfect options ... In a fight to the death, I'm guessing my clunker daily driver would probably continue to outlast them both.
  12. Unfortunately there are still a bunch of people who believe that rumor, and Ford isn't exactly trying to dissuade them from the idea that some 'Rock Monster' Bronco will be a rock crawling capable Wrangler competitor. In many ways false rumors benefit Ford.
  13. Much like a NA V8 being cheaper to build than a modern turbo half its displacement, I'd also be very interested in such an option even if it came at an upcharge, but it would probably be inconvenient and possibly inefficient to offer.
  14. Actually, these guys have told us several things already in their furror to stamp out any dissent from outsiders. At least a couple of them even took it over to bronco6g forums when they realized what had happened ... ETA: and just for giggles, because this source will probably be dry for a while after this ...
  15. Maybe you should type louder, I don't think everyone can hear you. I wasn't aware that this forum was only for discussing things that are officially proclaimed by Ford, and not for debating the virtues or qualities of what could or will be. I must have missed that somewhere in the first 35 pages of the thread ...
  16. If an easy handling cushy daily driver is what you're after, purchasing a performance vehicle seems like a really silly choice. If that's the direction Ford is going with the Bronco, then it is very unlikely to be an off road competitor for the Wrangler, or even the 4runner, and is going to fall flat on its face when its put into competitions and comparisons against it.
  17. Perhaps you're implying there is some shorty version of a Ranger we haven't seen before, with a 15" shorter wheelbase than all of the rest of the Rangers being built?
  18. Uh huh ... 127" wheelbase would make it 9" longer than a 4-door Wrangler. https://www.ford.com/trucks/ranger/models/ranger-xlt/?searchid=1686695161|68389310329|337165804231|&ef_id=EAIaIQobChMIiojAisjW5wIVB77ACh1JCAdBEAAYAiAAEgLtN_D_BwE:G:s&s_kwcid=AL!2519!3!336803889326!e!!g!!ford ranger specifications Does that go for the 2-door as well? ? You do realize we've seen mules and prototypes and can measure the wheelbase down to about an inch at 112" for the 4-door?
  19. Wtf are you talking about? It's sharing a frame with Ranger. By wheelbase, I meant ... wheelbase, the distance between the front and rear axles. Long + fast = stable ---- I said that earlier too. Trophy trucks usually extend their wheelbase beyond the length of a normal truck. Pre-runners usually extend their wheelbase beyond the length of a normal truck. The Bronco R prototype extended its wheelbase beyond a normal Bronco. Unless you were somehow under the impression that the wheelbase of the Ranger and Bronco were the same.
