They probably wouldn’t use Ford they would just have to license it from Ford if they want to use it.It also doesn’t mean Ford will actually use it. They’re just protecting the idea in case anyone decides to use it.
So, what I am getting at is saying one would never buy a Ford because of this would probably end up meaning not buying a vehicle from anyone since they will all likely end up using the technology as well.

Do we know if other manufacturers were trying to develop something like this and Ford beat them to it, so now they will all use it if able? Guessing this will become standard so all manufacturers can help protect their financing arm.

Have not had this.

Known issue. Occasionally, Sync 4 resets itself and that is causing the running boards to revert to OFF. Supposedly, Lincoln is working on a fix.

Believe this is the correct answer. Was at the dealership today picking up my 19 (Had phasers done) and asked a salesman. Said he believed it to be part of the towing package, since they had 4 on site navs and only two had these crazy huge humps under the mirrors. I wonder if there is any difference in the quality compared to the regular cameras?
Well, the cameras definitely grew in size from 2019 to 2022. I had a 2020 Black Label with the towing package. Cameras were smaller than the ones on my 2022 BL. I think the copilot 360 has a bearing on it as well.

What are those big bulbs under the side mirrors? Watching vids of 2022 black label models on youtube and out of the 10 or so vids I saw only 2 had these big bulbs underneath.
Cameras, not bulbs. I thought every 2022 and 2023 had those.

The dot is green.Agreed, unless the fact that your status of "Online" is actually red right now.

I find that running my HVAC system in Auto works perfectly. Set it and forget it. Rarely do the windows ever get fogged, and if so, the system takes care of it quickly. I never know when recirculate comes on or not.

There is a Navigator thread on some forum, maybe this one, with someone having the same thing.

Sorry wasn't being rude. Kinda talking back to myself with disbelief. Was curious though where you did hear about quiet sanctuaries though.
Okay, sorry. Easy to misinterpret the written word sometimes.
I don't know if I heard that exact phrase, it was just the sense I got from the Serena and other commercials I have seen for Lincoln.

Quiet sanctuaries? This is a car that can hold 7 people. Where in the world did you see that? Why not have speakers and headphones.
I don't know, the commercials? The noise cancellation? I don't see luxury SUVs as movie theaters. Trying to be helpful and offer a theory on why they didn't allow the sound through speakers, and you reply in a sort of rude way.
So, good luck to you.

I assumed that all TV displays would have speakers, why wouldn't they lol. My audi does and it's 2013. Not the end of the world but man that doesn't make sense from a user experience standpoint.
What I have seen is Lincoln advertising these vehicles as quiet sanctuaries. So, in that regard, the screens needing headphones, or the like, would make sense.
I can see what you are saying, but that may be a big reason why they are like that.

I honestly don't know, do other manufacturers have screens that everyone in the car has to be made to listen to? This seems like something that is normal to me, what do I know? Sounds important to you, so why didn't you check before you purchased?

Agreed.
I spoke with dealer: the manager said the two most recent 22s on the lot have the same roof as I do but the 21 has five full length ridges. His guess was an engineering change of some sort for the partial P/S ridge.
Has to be. Hard to imagine that got messed up somehow. Maybe it's the great roof ridge shortage.

Just checked my roof. All those ridges are the same full length on mine.

Looks like a new steering wheel is in order.

The seats are not connected to the HVAC. They use a peltier device and a fan.Had to search that up, Professor. Haha, that's cool, pun intended.

I just got my 2022 Navigator last week and I am having the issue of the monitors staying on. Was the issue fixed? I do not see any updates available. Where is the fuse F24 you mentioned above? I couldn't find it.
Did you follow the instructions in the post describing how to connect your account? It says the update will happen automatically after that.

Short answer, no. Less short answer, it should stop attempting to do this after a certain amount of time. I don't what the certain amount is as the manual doesn't state it. But, it should not constantly do this.

Chip shortage?

I used a clay bar on my new Navigator and applied the Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic from the previous page. Easy on and off, and the deep gloss was impressive. The beading of water is impressive. However, for me so far, I still get the bits of tree sap on the paint that require elbow grease during subsequent washes. maybe from all the posts here and elsewhere of practically spraying the vehicle with a hose and it coming out clean gave me false expectations.
Thinking I just need to break down and get a professional coat of ceramic applied.

Pretty cool application of the OTA updates to quickly fix something.

How the technology has existed in luxury vehicles and full-size trucks for this long without making its way into more "average" vehicles is beyond me! If I could only pick between heated and ventilated, I would 100% choose ventilated even though I am in the frigid midwest!
This is just a very wild guess here. Other more experienced people can chime in. I think* manufacturers do this to make certain vehicles more affordable but also to entice people in to buying more expensive vehicles with certain features.
*Like I said, just a guess.

As long as it isn't fugly like the Escalade, that will be a good start.
