They probably wouldn’t use Ford they would just have to license it from Ford if they want to use it.

It also doesn’t mean Ford will actually use it.  They’re just protecting the idea in case anyone decides to use it.

So, what I am getting at is saying one would never buy a Ford because of this would probably end up meaning not buying a vehicle from anyone since they will all likely end up using the technology as well.

Believe this is the correct answer. Was at the dealership today picking up my 19 (Had phasers done) and asked a salesman. Said he believed it to be part of the towing package, since they had 4 on site navs and only two had these crazy huge humps under the mirrors. I wonder if there is any difference in the quality compared to the regular cameras?

Well, the cameras definitely grew in size from 2019 to 2022. I had a 2020 Black Label with the towing package. Cameras were smaller than the ones on my 2022 BL. I think the copilot 360 has a bearing on it as well.

Sorry wasn't being rude. Kinda talking back to myself with disbelief.  Was curious though where you did hear about quiet sanctuaries though.

Okay, sorry. Easy to misinterpret the written word sometimes.

I don't know if I heard that exact phrase, it was just the sense I got from the Serena and other commercials I have seen for Lincoln.

Quiet sanctuaries? This is a car that can hold 7 people.  Where in the world did you see that? Why not have speakers and headphones.

I don't know, the commercials? The noise cancellation? I don't see luxury SUVs as movie theaters. Trying to be helpful and offer a theory on why they didn't allow the sound through speakers, and you reply in a sort of rude way.

    So, good luck to you.

I assumed that all TV displays would have speakers, why wouldn't they lol.  My audi does and it's 2013.  Not the end of the world but man that doesn't make sense from a user experience standpoint.

What I have seen is Lincoln advertising these vehicles as quiet sanctuaries. So, in that regard, the screens needing headphones, or the like, would make sense.

I can see what you are saying, but that may be a big reason why they are like that.

I just got my 2022 Navigator last week and I am having the issue of the monitors staying on. Was the issue fixed? I do not see any updates available. Where is the fuse F24 you mentioned above? I couldn't find it.

Did you follow the instructions in the post describing how to connect your account? It says the update will happen automatically after that.

  7. I used a clay bar on my new Navigator and applied the Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic from the previous page. Easy on and off, and the deep gloss was impressive. The beading of water is impressive. However, for me so far, I still get the bits of tree sap on the paint that require elbow grease during subsequent washes. maybe from all the posts here and elsewhere of practically spraying the vehicle with a hose and it coming out clean gave me false expectations.

Thinking I just need to break down and get a professional coat of ceramic applied.

How the technology has existed in luxury vehicles and full-size trucks for this long without making its way into more "average" vehicles is beyond me! If I could only pick between heated and ventilated, I would 100% choose ventilated even though I am in the frigid midwest!

This is just a very wild guess here. Other more experienced people can chime in. I think* manufacturers do this to make certain vehicles more affordable but also to entice people in to buying more expensive vehicles with certain features.

*Like I said, just a guess.
