  1. Love it! If the black st wheel was an option on the linc, I would have shopped one.
  2. On my 2020, many issues were definitely assembly related. Example, and I have many, but I'm not typing out the grocerie list. Insulation pads not hooked on and just hanging by one point in cargo area beneath side panels (out of sight). Paint apparently touched up and dabbed brutally to cover or hide dust or other flaw, how this gets past QC is amazing. Loose fasteners on window tract. Omitted inclusions such as two hook and sound deadening panels. I could go on. It's not design, it's someone failing their duty at assy point and going through unchecked.
  3. My driveshaft was replaced and it made no difference. A buyback is now underway based on exceeded time in shop via lemon law. To be told "it's normal" after failed attempts to repair is horrifying. I'm glad I was saved by the lengthy down time.
  4. The boss can be demanding of more production or quality but does he/she really have any recourse given the UAW protections? I mean does a shoddy worker really have to worry about getting canned? If its anything like other unions that I have been part of, that answer is no. I've seen hacks, crooks, and slackers get full pass on their poor performance. This would apply to supervisors as well.
  5. Kia pays 16 per hour less for each hour of labor than does Ford. Add in legacy costs and benefits and it's fairly evident there is an expense difference .....at least as of a few years ago. Interesting read; https://www.autoblog.com/2015/03/29/foreign-domestic-automakers-wage-gap/
  6. They also do not have unions. We all know what that entails. The uaw puts a real handicap on domestic brands.
  7. Blaming management for poor work ethics is laughable. Assembly issues are directly related to labor, not those in charge. Ever hear of iso9k quality at point of individual @ assembley? Low morale or hostile work environment is no excuse for sabotage. Interestingly, these attitudes and issues are rarely heard of in non union auto manufacturing plants here in the usa.
  8. I cannot get past the front wheel drive platform and subsequent torque steer.
  9. My ST has driveline vibration. Noticable around 20-25 and highway speeds. After confirming it's a problem and not notable on another ST on lot, I'm now being told it's normal after attempts to fix have failed. Disgusting.
