  1. The pedestrian alert on the Corsair GT is audible inside the vehicle but it isn't that overbearing Toyota noise. Obviously, somebody didn't listen to the sound when they approved that. LOL
  2. My next planned long trip won't be until December. I know the cold will affect the range. I'll be traveling around 600 miles each way.
  3. You don't lose anything in any content. That modem is strictly to act as a hotspot. I activated the modem so I could get the Lincoln Access Reward points only. When the 90 day/3 GB trial is over I won't be renewing it. I had it on my Nautilus and it was awful. It was slow and really didn't offer anything that I couldn't get via my regular cell service. The hotspot operates off AT&T cellular towers. AT&T cellular service is horrible in my area. I couldn't justify spending $200 a year or $20 per month for something I never use.
  4. This is my 2021 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring. I'm really loving the powertrain on this vehicle. The 3 electric motors, 2.5L Atikinson engine and the eCVT are superior to any powertrain I've had on any vehicle.
  5. Likewise for the wrap around light bar on the liftgate.
  6. I took a test drive this morning since my battery was close to being depleted according to the icon on the dash screen. I had 7 miles of battery power left. Driving at 55 MPH was done in all EV. The dash screen showed Electric Driving. This was a surprise to me as I figured once you got out of city speed limits the ICE would kick in. I got out onto the highway at 70MPH and the gas engine did kick in as well as the electric motors. There was plenty of power available whenever I hit the accelerator. As I neared town I noticed the battery was showing it was depleted. However, when I got into town at 25 - 35 MPH speeds I was still driving in electric mode with the dash screen still showing the battery was depleted. I drove like this for 4 miles to my house. I believe the range on the battery is much further than 32 miles when fully charged. This may be due to the speeds I was driving too. I will say I had the vehicle in Normal driving mode the entire time. When I was out on the highway I scrolled through some of the other driving modes and there are definite differences between each mode. Future road trips will involve putting the vehicle into one of those modes for the entire trip just to see how it performs in different circumstances. On a side note, when I stopped in at Starbucks this morning there was a woman in a Toyota RAV4 PHEV. As she backed out of the parking place it emitted a very loud noise that I could only describe as something coming out of the sound system at a haunted house. When she put the vehicle in drive it emitted the same sound albeit at a much lower volume. I won't complain about the EV sounds my Corsair makes ever again. ?
  7. I completely understand. I probably will only be in this house a couple of more years. I was going to future proof for the next owner but then decided better of it. The next owner can spend the money if they want or need to.
  8. Had the owner of the electrical company out to my home this week. He reviewed my setup and where we are going to run the service. This is the same company that installed my subpanel. Long story short, we are putting in 20A service as the maximum draw is supposedly 16A. He said the way my service runs through the house it would be very easy for someone to replace the breaker and run new wiring to handle a higher amperage circuit. He is hoping to get me on the schedule this week.
  9. I have about the same amount of miles. The Lincoln Way app says that I am averaging over 1000 MPG primarily because I have been tooling around town in all electric mode.
  10. I'm curious if the in vehicle modem hotspot can be switched from AT&T to another carrier. The cell service from AT&T in my area is poor at best and basically nullifies any use for the hot spot. In addition, my entire family has Verizon cell phones and adding this modem to the family plan would be more cost effective and provide better connectivity.
  11. There is a freshen scheduled for 2023 for the ICE Aviator too.
  12. So, how do you like it? I'm loving mine a great deal. I am having an electrician install my 240V outlet in the garage tomorrow afternoon. That will speed up my recharge time.
  13. My 2019 Nautilus had the physical mute button. The 2021 Corsair does not. It will mute the audio system when I answer or make call. Going through the Starbucks drive through, or any other drive through for that matter, is where I miss that mute button. However, it is a quick toggle to lower the volume or I can just tap the power button on the audio system. There is a mute button on the touch screen when using it on a phone call.
  14. I played around with SYNC today to see if it would mute the radio. It would not. I also checked a listing of the SYNC commands online and there isn't one for muting the radio. I received my first phone call today while driving around. There is a mute button that pops up on the touchscreen for the phone. After I hung up I checked the various radio screens and none have a mute button. This is definitely a first world problem. The on/off button works or using the steering wheel toggle to lower the volume as @akirby suggested.
  15. The 2022 Lincoln Corsair Build & Price is up on the Lincoln website. It's a little broken now as most of it isn't functioning properly this morning.
  16. According to Automotive News, in addition the the current Aviator and Corsair PHEV, Lincoln has plans for 3 BEVs coming in 2025. Lincoln Corsair-E: Brand executives plan to add a battery-electric variant of the Corsair crossover, which forecasting firm AutoForecast Solutions has said will be called the Corsair-E, in 2025. It's scheduled to be built at Ford's Oakville Assembly Plant in Canada. Lincoln electric small crossover: Lincoln will launch another C-segment EV, currently known by the program code CX802, in 2025 from Oakville Assembly. It's unclear whether the vehicle, expected to be sold in multiple global markets, will be a new nameplate or a variation of the Corsair EV. Lincoln electric midsize crossover: Lincoln plans to replace the Nautilus with an electric midsize crossover, currently referred to as CDX818, but it's unclear whether it will carry the same name. The EV is scheduled to debut in 2025 and come from Oakville Assembly. https://www.autonews.com/future-product/electric-future-product-evs-and-plug-hybrids-dominate-automakers-5-year-plans?utm_source=weekly&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=20211003&utm_content=article8-headline
  17. Thank you. I was shocked when my salesman called me Thursday around noon and said it was in. I picked it up Friday morning. I have put 101 miles on it so far and am averaging 67.4 MPG. I do miss the mute button I had on my Nautilus but this is a first world problem. ?
  18. OK, thanks. I would have never thought of that on my own. The Nautilus has an actual mute button. The Corsair obviously does not. No biggie. FYI, it mutes faster when you hit the on/off button.
  19. OK, this is a first world problem but it is a feature I will miss. My 2019 Nautilus had a mute feature on the steering wheel for the audio system. There were audio controls on the left side of the steering wheel with a toggle that moved up and down. Depressing the toggle like a button muted/unmuted the audio system. According to the Lincoln Concierge the only way to do this on the Corsair is to turn off the radio. There is nothing in the owner's manual that addresses this other than it shows an overview of the display icons and shows one for audio muted. If anyone knows of another way I'd be interested in hearing it. The toggles on the steering wheel on the Corsair only move up/down/left/right and cannot be depressed like a button.
  20. People in Aviators and Navigators are reporting this after the installation of SYNC 3.4.21194. The temperature is still showing in the upper left and right corners, just not in the main part of the screen as you adjust it. I saw somewhere on here there is a fix coming on the next SYNC update in January.
  21. SYNC updated very quickly. I was driving around and was prompted an ignition restart was required to complete the installation so I pulled over to shut down and restart. A few minutes later it was installed. I just uploaded the XML file to the SYNC website and everything was installed properly. I have driven 87 miles so far. There are no squeaks or rattles coming from anywhere including the moonroof. I noticed like others have mentioned that the moonroof doesn't open as far as I would have expected. Once it is open, you can hit the open button again and it will move back another 2 inches or so. I got the Technology Package because I wanted the wireless charger. The wireless charger is inside the console of the armrest. There is a holder and the phone sits vertically rather than horizontally. I used it all day today because I had heard some people complaining their phone wouldn't charge on it. I had a charging issue with my Nautilus. The display would say "Wireless charging has been activated" and show the icon for charging the phone. About a minute later I would get a message saying either the phone had moved or an object had come between the phone and the charger and that charging had been stopped. I tried pointing the top of the phone toward me and toward the front of the vehicle with and without the phone case. Nothing worked. Today, I had no issues even with the case on. I'm not one to remove my case very often except for cleaning out the pocket lint that somehow works it way inside the case. I stopped at our local city ChargePoint charging station just to check it out. I had registered in the ChargePoint app but it took me a few tries to "tap the phone" in the proper spot on the charging station to get it started. Our city has 2 chargers that are free to use. I didn't want to fully recharge. I just wanted to see what 15 minutes would give me since I had exhausted the charge driving around the Columbus area. I got 3 miles of driving range in 15 minutes. I have a 120V outlet in my garage that I'm using to plug my charge cord into. I have an electrician set to install a 240V outlet in my garage which will speed up the recharge time. Just these 2 days and I can see that faster charging will be the way to go. A home charging station isn't financially feasible as that would run around $1500 - $2000 for the charger and installation vs. $400 - $500 for the 240V outlet. The Webasto home charger that is Ford/Lincoln supplier of choice offers an all in price of $800 but honestly, it is overkill. The hardware on this vehicle isn't built to take rapid charging. I did find an quirk today that I wasn't expecting. There is a button that must be depressed to open the fuel door. It is under the liftgate button next to the headlight controls on the lower left dash. On my Nautilus I just had to give the edge of the fuel door a slight push and it would open. I tried that on the Corsair and that doesn't work. You must depress the button. Another quirk is when you put the vehicle in reverse under the EV mode it moves VERY quickly. I learned to keep the brake depressed when I put it in reverse and release the brake slowly. A nice trick my salesman told me about was using the fob to open or close all the windows. If you want to open them, hit the unlock button. Then depress the unlock button again and hold it for a few seconds. When you release the button all 4 windows will simultaneously open. Likewise, if you want to close all four hit the lock button once, then depress and hold it for a few seconds. When you release the button all 4 windows will close. You can also do this via the Lincoln Way app. I'm averaging 67.4 MPG with 87miles driven.
