  1. I did find one issue. The vehicle shipped with an older version of SYNC. I will update it to 21194 build and let you know how it goes.
  2. @Cyberdman, thank you for all you do for this site. My vehicle went from In Production to Built to my dealer calling me yesterday afternoon saying it had already arrived. The tracking site showed it was expected to arrive on 10/6. I guess it helps being less than 200 miles from the assembly plant. I went and picked it up this morning and am a very happy man. I got excellent financing deals, a small rebate and a wonderful ride. I have named him Link. I've got him plugged in right now giving him a drink of juice. Next time I order a vehicle I will make certain I read and memorize the rules. ?
  3. I'm having a licensed electrician do this so I'm certain he will make it right.
  4. I'm future proofing. I probably will only be in this house for a couple of more years. Having the 240V outlet in the garage with a 50A circuit is smart. The next owner will just need to swap out the outlet for their use. A real estate agent who is a friend told me this is a selling point.
  5. Congratulations! It helps being less than 200 miles away from the assembly plant. I think my dealer must have had several vehicles on order too. So what color did you get? I chose the Burgundy Velvet. I have it on my Nautilus and grew to love it.
  6. OK, so after all this dicussion I have come to a couple of conclusions: 1) A home charging station isn't financially feasible for a PHEV. Running the circuit, buying the charging station and doing the installation would cost somewhere between $1500 - $2000. 2) The dryer circuit I want to use isn't going to be as easily accessible as I first suspected. I had an electrician out earlier this week to put in a new GFI outlet in my garage as the one that was there kept tripping out. It was most likely the original one installed in 1997 when the house was built. While the electrician was there I had him check out the circuitry for the dryer outlet I was wanting to use. I don't know who wired this home when it was built but they must have had plenty of wiring to use. The wiring goes from the breaker box in the basement, up through a wall, apparently across the space between our first and second floors and down the wall into the laundry area. The good news is we have an auxilliary circuit box that was installed when we had more outlets put in our basement. The plan now is to run a 50A circuit across the basement and up into our garage wall and install the NEMA 6-20R outlet there at a cost of around $400 - $500.
  7. ABB just announced a new charger that promises to charge any vehicle within 15 minutes to 100%. It will roll out in Europe first followed by the US and Latin America. I'm not certain how they can promise 15 minutes charge time. I thought charge times were regulated by the software and hardware of the vehicle, not the charging station. https://europe.autonews.com/suppliers/abb-launches-worlds-fastest-ev-charger?utm_source=daily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=20210930&utm_content=article4-headline
  8. The great state of Ohio has added fees to the vehicle registration. If you own a hybrid or PHEV, you are assessed an additional $100 annually. If your vehicle is BEV you are assessed an additional $200 annually.
  9. Just got a text from my dealer that my GT has arrived. I pick it up tomorrow morning. It moved from In Production to Built to Shipped in a day. The tracking website is still showing an estimated delivery date of 10/6. The nice thing is I made the deadline for the special financing terms.
  10. Bump Ordered: 7/5/2021 Order Number: D800 VIN: 5LMTJ5DZ2MUL23635
  11. The next generation of Explorer will have BEV edition as will the Lincoln Aviator. There is a major redesign coming for the Escape and Lincoln Corsair in 2025. There are already PHEV variants of both those vehicles. Most likely, there will be BEV variants with this redesign. Farley is a lot more forward thinking than any of his predecessors. There is still the investment in Rivian that was supposed to produce a BEV for Lincoln. Ford also has a partnership with VW to use their BEV global architecture. I believe there are going to be brand new BEV models as well as several models that are currently ICE that will be simultaneously ICE and BEV for a period of time until the platforms can be developed to be more efficient as BEV only. How quickly this switch happens with the consumer remains to be seen but Ford's two BEV vehicles are sold out for two years running with only the Mustang Mach E being delivered. Waiting on the consumer switch would be a huge and possibly fatal error.
  12. I get dings occasionally in my 2019 Nautlius. I have found 2 reasons for it: I'm not gripping the steering wheel with both hands which sets off a ding. If I ignore this, the vehicle will flash a message on the driver display saying the vehicle will automatically slow down. I dared it to once and it after about 30 seconds the vehicle suddenly applied the brakes. The other reason is the navigation system detects when you are entering a school zone. The ding is to remind you to obey the lower speed limits and to watch for children in crosswalks.
  13. Ford announced yesterday they are building their first new assembly plant in over 50 years just north of Memphis, Tennessee. It is slated to build the next generation electric F series. There is some speculation this may be the heavy duty version of the Lightning. They are also building 2 new battery plants with partner SK Innovations in Hardin County in Kentucky. I believe all these are slated to be online by 2025.
  14. I'm not sure of the build times normally. All that depends on the vehicle popularity. You don't need to have an X plan pin when you order the vehicle. Just let the dealer know it is going to be an X plan purchase. You can obtain the pin closer to your vehicle delivery date. That way it won't expire.
  15. I just saw where my vehicle got built yesterday and has an estimated delivery date of 10/6.
  16. Unfortunately, this vehicle will be made in China and strictly for the Chinese market according to Ford Authority. It will not make an appearance in the US. The styling cues will probably be seen in the US on future vehicles.
  17. Yeah, this chip crisis has hit just about every business but the automakers are being hit the hardest. IHS predicts the automakers won't see any relief until 2023. One plus is used car values are very high. I bought a used CPO 2019 Lincoln Nautilus in March 2020. It is worth what I paid for it as a trade in with nearly 12,000 more miles on it. FYI, you picked a nice ride. I know you will enjoy it once you get it.
  18. All automakers are suffering from the microchip crisis. It has actually gotten worse in the past few weeks as several companies based in Viet Nam and Malaysia have shut down due to COVID because of their government orders. The more technology your vehicle has the more microchips it takes. The automakers have no control over this situation. Your dealer can provide you with your order number and your VIN. You can track your vehicle on https://shop.lincoln.com/vehicle-order-tracking# It's not 100% accurate but is close. Once the window sticker is available, you can look at the top of it. There will be a blend date that starts with a 1 followed by the year, month and day. I have a Corsair Grand Touring on order since July 5. My window sticker became available last week. My blend date is 120210922. The blend date is when all parts are scheduled for assembly. Good luck!
  19. It is a smaller vehicle but I felt comfortable and I'm a big guy. Cargo space is obviously smaller but being able to pull the rear seats forward 6" does create quite a bit more space. Headspace was very good. Obviously, the Nautilus is going to have more room everywhere. Overall, I believe I will be very happy with this vehicle.
  20. I went to my dealer today to drive a GT they had just received this week. This one was completely loaded including the $2000 20" wheels. The salesman went with me on our ride so he could explain some of the features and answer questions. The only dislike I had was the pedestrian sounder at low speeds with the EV mode engaged. It was loud and I could hear it inside the vehicle with the windows and panoramic roof closed. The sounder is to alert pedestrians when you are driving in EV only mode. I kept the vehicle in all EV mode because this will be most of my driving. We took it on a 10 mile trip including freeway driving. When I accelerated, it stayed in EV mode until I reached highway speeds and the gas engine kicked in. I couldn't perceive when the gas engine engaged other than a message on the driver's display. Acceleration was smooth and fairly quick but not as quick as my 2.7L twin turbo Nautilus. I felt comfortable merging into fairly busy highway traffic and that's all that matters. This vehicle isn't going to win any drag races. The ride quality was excellent as this one was equipped with the adaptive suspension. Cornering was excellent and I believe better than my Nautilus. It was very quiet inside during the entire ride. I noticed the ventilated seats REALLY move the air, much more so than the ones in my Nautilus. This was a plus to me. I was amazed at how far forward the rear seats move. The salesman said it was 6". This is strictly for making more cargo room as there is very little space left for legroom against the rear of the front seats when they are pulled all the way forward. You can adjust them as far forward as you deem necessary. It is a manual movement done by pulling up on a bar near the bottom of the seats. The rear seats also manually recline as well as automatically fold forward via the press of buttons in the cargo area. The Revel audio system was very nice. My Nautilus has the Revel Ultima sound system so this was a small step below but still far superior to any standard sound systems found in most other vehicles. The wireless phone charger wasn't where I expected it to be. It is in the armrest. The phone slides into a holder vertically leaving room for storage inside the bin. There is also a door in the console that slides forward for storage that has a 12V power port along with a USB port. I didn't spend too much time looking for other power ports or USB ports as my salesmen came in today as a favor to me since it was his day off. Overall, I think I made a wise choice in vehicles and I will be happy with it for many years. I'm looking forward to getting mine soon and giving it more realistic day to day driving.
  21. The blend date is the date parts are sequenced for production. That date is usually around 2 days or more prior to the actual build date. The left date at the bottom of the window sticker will be the date you are viewing it always until the vehicle has shipped. The delivery date will be dependent on how the vehicle is shipped and how far it has to go. Vehicles shipped by rail have longer transit times than those shipped via truck.
  22. At the top of the page there is a tab that says Dealer Order Guides. You can select them by vehicle line then model year.
  23. f you have your Order Number and VIN you can go to shop.lincoln.com/vehicle-order-tracking Your dealer should be able to provide you with both of those bits of information. You can also call the Lincoln Concierge and they can give you a build date. Of course, everything is subject to change.
