  1. If you look at the top of the window sticker there will be a date that says Blend Date. That date is when parts are sequenced prior to the build of your vehicle. My Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring changed from Order to In Production today. I was able to access the window sticker as well. The blend date on the window sticker says 9/22. I had been told previously by my dealer and Lincoln Concierge the build date would be 9/24. So, figure 2 days after the blend date for the actual build date. The 1 stands for USA built vehicles. The date is shown as YYYY/MM/DD. In this photo, the 5492 is the blend number of the vehicle.
  2. No, the blend date is the date parts are sequenced for the production of your vehicle. This is usually a few days before the actual build date.
  3. My bad. The blend date is 9/22 which would coincide with the build date of 9/24.
  4. I checked the website this morning and my vehicle has moved to In Production status. There is no date showing yet but I was able to print the window sticker. It shows a blend date of 9/16. There is a QR code at the bottom right corner of the window sticker. I just scanned it and it said there are no details available for this vehicle. I'm assuming once it is built that will change.
  5. I ordered a Corsair GT on July 5. All my page says is the order is confirmed. I originally had a build date w/o 9/6. According to my dealer and the Lincoln concierge my new build date is 9/24. Someone I know who ordered one on 7/13 has their vehicle being built today. It may have to do with options chosen.
  6. That or they may want you out of your vehicle sooner so they can sell it. I have a 2021 Corsair GT on order since July 5. It is currently scheduled to be built on 9/24. Factor in the transit time from factory to dealer and it will be mid to late October before I receive it.
  7. Thank you for the clarification. That makes more sense.
  8. I'll check with my salesman tomorrow. If it has delivered I want to test drive it. My vehicle build date has been pushed out until 9/24. I did find out Louisville Assembly plant where both the Corsair and Escape are built is in the process of Escape model change. The 2021 Escape PHEV balanced out last week. All the other 2021 Escape models are balancing out this week. Then they will have Job 1 for the 2022 Escape. This is probably why the Corsair builds got pushed out. I believe 2021 Corsair balances out at the end of October.
  9. This came out on Car Buzz today. Mind you, it is purely speculation and rumor. https://carbuzz.com/news/ford-evos-coming-to-america-as-edge-successor
  10. Thanks for the information. This explains a great deal. By blend date does this mean the build date?
  11. Update: My build date is now confirmed for 9/24 as are several other folks who had orders scheduled for the week of 9/6. Has anyone received their vehicle yet? My dealer has one showing on their website but it says "This vehicle is in transit". According to the window sticker, it shipped on 8/21. That transit time seems to be a long time going 186 miles from Louisville, KY to Columbus, OH.
  12. The Corsair pictured is a Grand Touring model. You can see the charge port door on the fender and the gas door on the quarter panel.

  14. Rand Paul was showboating. It's what he does. He's a jerk and that's why his neighbor kicked his butt. I lived in Kentucky for 20 years. Paul was one of my senators. He's famous for making unsubstantiated accusations much like he did in this case.
  15. You just proved my point. Have a great day and stay safe.
  16. So, it is partially true and partially falst about Rand Paul. Dr. Fauci has over 50 years experience as an epidemiologist. I love it when armchair science "experts" question the veracity of someone's expertise.
  17. As a scientist, I follow the scientific theory that states you look at everything with an objective lens and not with a predetermined narrative. You can go on the internet and YouTube and find just about anything to support your opinion. The good thing about science is it relies and facts and opinions don't matter.
  18. The one deal breaker for all automakers whether ICE or BEV is the microchip crisis. All market intelligence I've read said this will extend into 2023 and some are even saying 2024. BEV vehicles use more microchips than ICE, much as luxury vehicles use more microchips whether ICE or BEV. Rivian delayed their production of the R1T due to the microchip issue. The thing I do see with Rivian is their management is focused unlike Tesla that went through "production hell" due to Musk's forever changing whims. Musk is more interested in market manipulation to make money rather than producing vehicles. Most of Tesla's earnings come from selling carbon credits and cryptocurrency rather than from the automotive business. I believe Musk will eventually be arrested for his manipulation of cryptocurrency prices. He tweets about buying BitCoin and his cult followers jump on the wagon. As soon as the price peaks Tesla sells it causing the price to drop. It won't take long for the SEC to hone in on him.
  19. I find this ironic. Rand Paul never passed his board exams to be an opthamologist. He created his own board which he, his wife and an uncle are the sole members. He is self-certified but has the gaul to question other doctors and scientists who did the work and passed their board exams.
  20. There are no longer SD cards or SD card slots in the vehicles. You do the update via a USB or wireless network. I've never had much luck with the wireless network even though I have a very strong signal in my home. It took about an hour to install the maps as it is done in 2 phases and requires you to turn off the vehicle and restart it after the first phase.
  21. I spoke to my salesman this past week. Mine is still scheduled to be built the week of September 6. Mine still doesn't show a build date on the website or the window sticker. I ordered mine on 7/5. I noticed there is now special financing available in September through Lincoln Financial Services that is quite generous. 0% for 36 months, 0.9% for 48 months, 1.9% for 60 months and 3.9 for 72 months good through 10/4/2021. I was planning on financing through my credit union but they can't touch those rates.
  22. This makes sense as demand for Bronco is outstripping the manufacturing plant's capacity. I know how it goes. I worked at Louisville Assembly when the first generation Explorer launched. We couldn't keep up with demand. At the time, we were building the 2 and 4 door Explorer along with the 2 door Mazda Navajo and Ford Ranger. As Explorer demand continued to grow, dealers began demanding Ford abandon the Navajo to free up capacity for more Explorers. The second generation Explorer was even more popular and Ford finally gave in and stopped production of the Navajo. Being capacity constrained is both a blessing and a curse. Adding in the Bronco pick up would have meant less Broncos could be produced. It also adds complexity to the manufacturing process. With future vehicles moving to a BEV platform it makes sense to drop the program now and perhaps revisit it in the future.
  23. According to the 2022 Edge order guide, AWD is standard and FWD is not available. The 2022 order guide for Nautilus has FWD standard and AWD optional.
  24. As has been rumored in the news and now confirmed in the 2022 order guide, the Edge will no longer offer FWD on any models. AWD is standard and FWD will not be an option. The 2022 Nautilus will have FWD as standard.
