I have a 2004 Cobra and never have a problem shifting into reverse. Do what I do when they say 'it's normal'. Get your free rental car, and tell them to call you when they fix it, no excuses. It's not 'normal' to not be able to shift into reverse. It also wasn't 'normal' that I would have a loud popping come from my front end when I went up an incline at an angle. I took my rental car and left my car there for 3 weeks. Surprise surprise they replaced my left front strut and the noise went away. When the car begins to eat into their pocketbook, they tend to start wanting to do the right thing. They paid 500+ for my rental car, and stopped screwing with me after that. Take the car back, tell them to fix it. It sounds like it worked going into reverse for the past 28,9999 miles, it shouldn't change now for you. Good luck.
