  1. I just had the same thing happen last night going down a hill. Every light on the dash on total failure. For me I did not have brakes !...pushing pedal with all my might at 40 mpg......no brakes. Pedal hard as a rock. I used the paddles to downshift enough to slow the car. Frightening experience. This car is a POS. My problems with it are too long to list here but it is on its 2nd engine! Afraid to drive it.
  2. 22's are great, decent ride, great handling. The issue is that they completely suck in deeper snow. Last snowstorm which dumped about 20 inches, it was stuck in the driveway after I dug out the front. Wasn't impressed with the traction after I dug it out and got underway.....I was thinking this would be the drawback but i love the look
  3. I have the same issue but it happens after going through car wash. Fairly loud gurgling noise lower A pillar and or upper left dash area. I have no sunroof leak issues...
  4. Yes i have what i think is the same noise. Mine rattles upon deceleration from 35 to zero. You can also aggrevate it in park by revving the engine a bit, rattles when the rpms come down. Dealer thought it was a heat shield on exhaust and told me it was all set. It's still there. Someone mentioned possibly the flywheel shield? My motor was replaced at 200 miles due to a major oil leak....
  5. I feel the same cold you do ! Until i read your post, I never thought too much about it. I will bring it to the dealers attention, along with the other 1000 things wrong
  6. UPDATE: After bringing to dealer right after posting, the noise continues. The dry start rattle is up to about 7 seconds from 5. Now the transmission between 20 and 30 mph has a distinct rattling sound. Windows are still snapping after closing. The dealer says all of my problems are not happening when they have it. When i picked it up from having the dry start up checked they said it didnt happen to them. When i picked it up it rattled for me and has done so on every cold start or after it sits for an hour. I dont trust it.
  7. Took delivery of my New Aviator at the end of April. At about 300 miles the engine failed (previous post, block cast problem, bad oil leak). It now has just over 7,000 miles on it. Yesterday when leaving work, i cranked i over and the engine rattled loudly for about 5 seconds at most. It also skips when auto start engages engine on. If it sits for a few hours it will make the loud noise again. Oil level is ok. Leaving at dealer tomorrow but called to report the issue today Also having less concerning issues, still important though: * driver and passengers windows going up will make a hard metal to metal snap sound, happens about 75% of the time the window is closed. the * at 70-75 mph the hood moves, shakes around, very annoying * drivers door latch out of alignment, auto close wont work because of it. * e-brake comes on for no reason at any speed. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing these issues. * when reversing, brakes slam on for no apparent reason.
  8. Just leased a beautiful Aviator. Within 300 miles I started to smell an oil burning smell after a highway drive. Turns out it was an oil leak that required ordering a part that was not available. The part became available after several days. The dealer (who has been incredibly great) installed it and it still leaked oil. Lincoln agreed to replace the engine (i think Lincoln wants the engine back for research). They stated that there were 3 others in the US with the same problem. I am a patient and understanding person who loves this SUV and is willing to let them fix any issues that arise. Especially when I have such a great dealer to deal with. I get to drive an Aviator as a loaner. They literally are the best of any dealer I have dealt with. I think folks get turned off too quickly and run to the lemon law. Cars today are incredibly complex and will continue to become more so. Cars today are made up of lots of computers. Everything in our society has issues, nothing is perfect. These new Aviators are hands down better than any BMW, Land Rover or Cadillac around! Looking forward to many happy years with mine. I will update later in the week when I am driving mine again.
