  1. We ended up returning our 2020 Aviator Reserve with the NOT so "Perfect Position" seats in favor of a 2020 Aviator Reserve with the normal seats and have been much happier. The seats are more comfortable and not nearly as high. My 5'4" wife hated the perfect position seats for both comfort and seat height.
  2. To me, it is a design flaw. I agree, they should revisit the overall design of the seats as being able to market "30 way perfect position seats" sounds great on paper, not so much in the real world for many people.
  3. For us, there was no way around the seats being too high. We had to sell our Aviator back to then purchase another one without the "not so perfect" seats. We lost about $2k on the swap.
  4. I noticed two “dings” in the cover of the HUD screen after I signed the paperwork and they are replacing the HUD. As for the armrest, it makes a very annoying squeak whenever you put your elbow on the armrest so they are replacing that too. This is all after selling our other Aviator back after just a few hundred miles since my wife absolutely hated the seats. We ended up roughly breaking even (did lose some $$$) on the one we have which had a similar sticker price.
  5. So yesterday my daughter was saying her rear passenger door on our 2020 Aviator would not open in our and sure enough soon after trying to open the door, an error message popped up on the console with “Door Fault - Service Required”. Eventually it opened after about 12 pushes of the button. This issue is relatable consistently. Then, we got another error message “Reverse Brake Assist Not Available - See Manual” - ugh... So I called the dealership and they are going to have to look at the door because it could be a switch or the actuator in the door and as for the reverse brake assist apparently there is a service bulletin that they have to reset some software or something to address our problem. So next week we will take the Aviator back to the dealership to get the armrest replaced (defective), the heads up display replaced (damaged before I took possession), the two dents in car they made last time it was in for service, the door (hopefully) and the reverse brake issue. I can safely say I have never had so many issues with any car I have owned in nearly 30 years. Frustrated is part of how I feel, but more disappointed as we were really looking forward to the car now it is just a headache.
  6. That was the one of the issues for my wife and the height of the seat. The perfect position seats sit about 2” higher at the lowest position than the regular seats. The seam in the front middle of the seat is less of an issue with the non perfect position seats though the seats are still not as comfortable for her as the Acadia. I like them a lot..
  7. We actually had to sell our 2020 Aviator with the "perfect position" seats back to the dealer with less than 500 miles on it and get another one without the "perfect position" seats. We ended up losing out on about $2000, but in the end to have a car that is comfortable was worth the pain of spending more on the 2nd Aviator.
  8. Does anyone know if there is a rear bumper guard for the sill on the top of the rear bumper? It only took 3 days for the kids to scratch the rear bumper. I found a chrome one, but could not find one from Lincoln or a more durable custom one for the Aviator. Has anyone put one on or know of options? Thanks!
  9. The welcome lighting does come on when I use the unlock button on the keyfob. I have not tried with the PAAK, but that is flakey - sometimes works, sometimes not. What do you mean per ignition cycle? Does the car need to be off and locked for a certain period of time before it comes on? For example, the car was locked all night and when I approached it, nothing happened with the Keyfob or PAAK.
  10. So I need some help here... We just bought a new 2020 Aviator and the welcome lighting is not working. If I lock the car and put the keys on the other side of the house then approach the car in the garage 10 min later with the key fob, nothing happens. I toggled the welcome lighting setting from on to off then back on again to see if that helped, but it did not. Has anyone else experienced this? Am I missing something for how this should work?
  11. The battery issue in my phone seems to be ok now that I charged the settings to be like you mentioned. However, now I have a new message in the app - sheesh... “Remote features disabled for battery optimization: To conserve battery life for your Aviator, remote features are temporarily unavailable. This happens when your vehicle hasn't been driven in a while, there is high battery usage while your vehicle is off or if your area has extremely cold conditions. Simply start your vehicle with your key fob and your remote features like start/stop, lock/unlock, etc. will be back at your fingertips.“ I drove the car tonight, why would I be getting this message? I did start it successfully though with PAAK after this message.
  12. Update: The dealership is going to bring a loaner tomorrow to take mine in to have it checked out. Now we have a new issue. Not only is the PAAK unreliable, the Lincoln Way app is using about 80+ % of my batter in about 3 hours with background refresh set to off and location services set to while using the app. Is anyone else experiencing this? I see a recent review in the Apple App Store with the same issue and Lincoln is repurchasing their vehicle. Has to be for other reasons as well I would imagine.
  13. Thanks for the advice. I reset the average mpg and will monitor the next couple of fill ups to see how it does.
  14. We got a new Aviator AWD Reserve last week and I am a bit confused by the “miles until empty” after fueling. I just filled ours up and it says 205 miles to empty. That seems really low. What do you all see when full? Am I missing something?
