  1. Thank you Kansas City Picked up my 2020 XLT Super Cab, Iconic Silver, 3.5EB, 4X4, 8Ft. Box, Thursday. It has 7850#GVWR, Trailer backup assist, Max tow Pkg. Heavy duty payload Pkg. Tailgate step, Manual telescoping W/Pwr. glass mirrors and chrome running boards. I added rear wheel well liners, box liner and mud-flaps. Drives great, now I have to figure out how to use all the bells and whistles that weren't on my 2010.
  2. My truck arrived over the weekend and I pick it up on Thursday. My dealer HAD been in touch with the manager. He thinks that because it was originally ordered for stock, that it would have a "stock" sticker on it and the shippers would see that and pass by. Anyway, all is good, thanks for the information, now if it only hadn't been too late to change the colour to Red when I decided to buy it. My wife will like the Iconic Silver better.
  3. Thank you Ice Capades, I will forward your information to dealer tomorrow.
  4. My truck (dealer ordered) has supposedly sitting in the rail yard in Toronto since Sept. 10. According to my dealer there is no method of determining when it will actually land on his lot. I sold my 2010 privately for $2000 more than the dealer offered on trade, but now I have been truckless for what seems like a very long time. My Fusion wasn't built for some of the stuff I have been hauling in it. Is there no way of expediting the process?
  5. Expanded chrome plating. Depending on your local weather it can be salt water from road penetrating between the plated exterior and the steel core. Can also happen from use of wrong socket on impact driver. Replace with solid stainless steel nuts. Gorilla is a common replacement brand.
  6. Joined here recently, waiting for a new F-150 to arrive at Northern Ford. Last 2020 the dealer has outstanding. Supposed to be in rail yard in Toronto. Extended cab 8' box V-6EB. I would have liked to get it in Rapid Red, but it was too late to change colour, coming in Iconic Silver. Sold my 2010, same configuration, that I ordered new. Before that I had a 2000, regular cab 8' box. Have 8' truck camper. Getting antsy, difficult doing my dump run with my 2014 Fusion.
  7. The chrome plated lug nuts supplied on a number of new Ford vehicles are an abject failure. Whether they are stripped by service people using the wrong socket on an impact wrench or delaminated by penetration of road salt and water, the result is the same. The chrome plating separates from the underlying steel and the wrench supplied with the vehicle no longer fits. I have had this experience with my 2014 Fusion and had to buy solid nuts to replace the plated. Great fun on the side of the road with a flat tire. Fortunately had it in front of a residence where the lady had a 4-way wrench to loan me. I am purchasing a 2020 F-150 and know I will end up buying 20 nuts to replace the ones on the new vehicle. This has been an ongoing conversation on other forums. I am posting it here in the hope that someone at Ford will read it an will possibly lead to new vehicles being supplied with solid stainless steel nuts.
  8. I already have a new F-150 coming. And I have a 2014 Fusion. I don't need two trucks. I am just a stubborn !@#$%^& that wants a North American built vehicle. Yes I know that Toyota and Honda have NA assembly plants. Maybe I can find a low mileage 2020 Fusion or Taurus in a few years. It seems to me that when you abandon a significant portion of the market you are a niche marketer, no longer a major player. I think this is a mistake. When Ford bought Aston Martin, that was a mistake in the other direction. Stay true to your roots. Henry had the right idea with the model T.
  9. Mine should be somewhere between Kansas City and here. Dealer ordered, pretty much every thing I wanted but the colour. Wanted Rapid Red, have to settle for Iconic Silver. Trying to figure out how to track. My 2010 came to Buffalo by rail then truck. Getting antsy. Sold my 2010 privately so I am truckless.
